Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ladder platform with a plate, which comprises a peripheral edge extending from one side of the plate and can be placed at its first end on a rung of a ladder, and with a hanging bracket which is mounted on the second end of the plate and can be attached to a rung of the ladder, a holding element being provided at the first end of the plate. which can be positively engaged with the rung.
  • ladder platforms are known from the prior art, which serve to form a step platform on which an operator can stand in order to have a more secure stand on the ladder and to be more comfortable with a longer stay on the ladder Stand.
  • ladder platforms which only serve to store objects or tools, for example a paint bucket or components to be assembled.
  • a ladder platform of the type described above is already known from US-A-25 00 559. It proves disadvantageous in this previously published arrangement that when the plate is used as a shelf for tools or the like there is no edge which prevents the tools or objects from falling or rolling off. On the other hand, the known platforms, which were created for the purpose of storing objects, do not prove to be pedestals, since the existing edge considerably interferes with the treading process.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a ladder platform of the type mentioned, which can be used both as a step platform and as a storage platform with a simple structure and reliable handling.
  • the mounting element comprises two substantially U-shaped mounting plates, each forming a recess for attachment to the rung, the base region of which is pivotally mounted on the outside of the edge about an axis parallel to the plate.
  • the ladder platform according to the invention is characterized by a number of considerable advantages.
  • the plate of the invention is provided on one side with a peripheral edge, so that the plate takes the form of a flat bowl or an angular bowl.
  • the other side of the plate according to the invention is completely flat, so that it is possible to stand on the plate without interference, without having to step on an edge. Due to the flat design of the plate, it is also possible in a particularly simple manner to coat the tread surface of the plate in a suitable manner, for example with a covering to prevent slipping.
  • Essential to the invention are the substantially U-shaped mounting plates which are pivotally mounted on the plate. Due to the outside storage of the mounting plates, it is possible to pivot them relative to the plate without interference in order to turn the plate over in its arrangement. It is advantageous if the two mounting plates are connected by means of a strut, so that it is ensured that both mounting plates are in engagement with the rung at the same time. A misalignment of the platform according to the invention is thus excluded.
  • a first leg of the mounting plate can have a locking projection directed in the direction of the second leg, which is dimensioned such that it engages behind the rung when the first leg abuts a side face of the plate and prevents the mounting element from slipping out of the rung.
  • the second leg can be provided with a bevel. Since the rungs usually have a rectangular or square cross-section in the conductors used today, it is thus possible in a particularly simple manner to insert the rungs into the recess in the mounting plate and to form-fit them by slight twisting, to engage in particular with the locking projection provided on the first leg.
  • the rung for connecting the two mounting plates is preferably fastened to the second leg of the U-shaped cross section or profile of the mounting plate, in order to ensure the greatest possible adjustment or pivoting of the mounting plate.
  • the strut can be pretensioned away from the rung by means of an elastic element.
  • the pretensioning ensures that the first leg and the locking projection always rest securely against the wall of the rung. Incorrect operation is excluded, since the operator must inevitably bring the elastic element into engagement with the rung when the mounting plates are slid onto the rung, so that the corresponding pretensioning force is thereby automatically applied.
  • the hanging bracket comprises two mutually parallel bracket struts which are pivotally mounted at one end on the edge of the plate about an axis parallel to the pivot axis of the mounting element, the other ends of the bracket struts each being bent in a partially circular manner and by means of a cross brace with each other are connected.
  • the bracket can either be arranged around the rung from below or attached to the rung so that it engages around it from above .
  • These different attachment options make it possible to attach the plate to a ladder in different positions without having to remove and turn the hanging bracket.
  • it is not necessary to add additional or to provide support devices which could only be used in one application, either as a step platform or as a storage platform.
  • the ladder used in connection with the platform comprises two mutually parallel bars 21, which can be designed in the usual way in the form of a rectangular profile.
  • Rungs 4 are fastened to the spars in a conventional manner, which also usually have a square profile.
  • the ladder platform according to the invention comprises a plate 1 which is essentially square or rectangular.
  • a circumferential edge 2 which extends from one side of the plate and which can be formed, for example, by bending regions of the plate 1.
  • the plate 1 thus forms a flat shell with the edge 2, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2.
  • a first end 3 of the plate 1 is pivotally connected to a mounting element which comprises two mounting plates 8 which are mounted laterally on the edge of the plate, namely on the outside of the edge 2, so that they can be pivoted about an axis 7.
  • the axis 7 is arranged essentially parallel to the plane of the plate 1.
  • the two mounting plates 8 have a U-shaped cross section, a base region 15 of the U-shaped cross section being pivotably mounted on the edge 2.
  • a first leg 11 is provided at its free end with a locking projection 13, wherein the first leg 11 and the locking projection 13 are each dimensioned such that 1 and 2, a square rung profile of the rung 4 can be gripped in a form-fitting manner.
  • a second leg 12 forms a recess 10 in the mounting plate 8, which is dimensioned such that the rung 4 can be inserted into the recess 10 without clamping.
  • the second leg 12 has a bevel 14 which is arranged at the free end of the second leg 12 and is opposite the first leg 11.
  • a notch 22 can also be provided at the transition from the second leg 12 to the base region 15, as is shown in FIG. 4.
  • the two second legs 12 are connected via a strut 9, which is shown in section in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4.
  • the strut 9 can also have a substantially U-shaped cross section.
  • an elastic element 16 is provided in the central region of the strut 9, which, as in FIG the Fi.g 1, 2 and 4 shown, is in the form of a compression spring. The elastic element 16 ensures that the second leg 12 of the respective mounting plate 8 is pushed away from the rung 4.
  • the edge 2 of the plate 1 has in the region of the first end 3 a recess 23 which is shaped such that the edge 2 can be positively engaged with the rung 4 in the arrangement of the plate 1 shown in FIG to ensure additional anchoring.
  • a suspension bracket 5 is mounted on the edge 2 thereof, which can be pivoted about an axis 18, which is arranged parallel to the axis 7. In this way, the second end 6 of the plate 1 is held.
  • the hanging bracket 5 comprises two mutually parallel bracket struts 17 which are each bent at their free ends 20 in a part-circle and connected to one another via a cross strut 19.
  • the ends 20 of the bow struts 17 are designed in their bend so that a partial gripping or enclosing a rung 4 is possible.
  • Fig. 1 the ladder platform according to the invention is shown in an arrangement in which it serves as a step platform.
  • the plate 1 points upwards, while the edge 2 is arranged downwards.
  • the hanging bracket 5 is attached to a rung 4 in such a way that it at least partially encompasses it from above.
  • the recess 23 of the edge 2 is in a form-fitting engagement with the rung 4.
  • the two mounting plates 8 of the mounting element are pushed over the rung 4 and encompass it in a form-fitting manner, the elastic element 16 engaging the first leg 11, the locking projection 13 and of the base region 15 on the respective sides of the rung 4.
  • FIG. 2 An arrangement of the ladder platform according to the invention is shown in FIG. 2, in which it serves as a storage platform.
  • the plate 1 is arranged so that the edge 2 stands up.
  • the hanging bracket 5 encompasses an overhead rung 4 of the ladder, while the mounting plates 8 of the mounting element are in turn attached to a rung 4.
  • the elastic element 16 causes the first leg 11, the locking projection 13 and the base region 15 to bear against the respective side of the rung 4.
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view of the strut 9 and the two mounting plates 8, from which the arrangement of the two mounting plates and the elastic element 16 can be seen in particular.
  • FIG. 4 shows a sectional view along the line IV-IV of FIG. 3, the configuration of the mounting plates again being particularly clear.
  • FIG. 5 shows a top view of the plate 1, with the illustration of the mounting plates 8 and the struts 9 being omitted. Rather, the hanging bracket 5 is shown in detail.
  • the ends 24 of the bow struts 17 facing the plate 1 are either guided in recesses in the edge 2 of the plate 1 or are mounted in additional bearing blocks, not shown in detail. It is also possible to screw a screw 25 onto the free end of the end 24 in order to prevent the bow struts 17 from slipping out of the edge 2.
  • FIG. 6 shows a sectional view through the arrangement shown in FIG. 5, the suspension bracket 5 being shown in a shortened manner, in particular with respect to the bracket struts 16.
  • the ladder platform according to the invention made it possible for the first time to design both a step platform and a storage tray with only one platform, it being possible according to the invention to change these two forms of use in a particularly simple manner. Furthermore, it is ensured according to the invention that the ladder platform is always securely anchored to the ladder without the risk that the ladder platform will come loose on its own during loading or during operation. Furthermore, it proves to be particularly favorable that the ladder platform according to the invention has very small dimensions, so that it can be cleared in a space-saving manner when not in use.
