Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen optischen Heterodynempfänger (1000) mit gleichzeitiger Auswertung der Signal- und Spie­ gelfrequenz, wobei die Lokaloszillatorleistung optimal genutzt wird. In einer optischen Mischstufe (800) wird ein zirkular polarisiertes Lokaloszillatorsignal (2) mit einem linear polarisierten Empfangssignal (1) zu je gleichen Signalanteilen auf zwei optische Mischsignalwege (211, 212, 221) aufgeteilt. In einem Mischsignalweg befindet sich eine Lambdahalbeplatte. In einem Polarisationsstrahlteiler (130) und einer elektro­ nischen Zwischenfrequenzstufe (900) erfolgt die weitere Ver­ arbeitung zu Zwischenfrequenzausgangssignalen (81, 82). Eine Abweichung von der vorgesehenen linearen Polarisation des Empfangssignals (1) verursacht eine berechenbare Verschlech­ terung der Spiegelfrequenzunterdrückung.
