Claims (10)

1. Four tunnel comportant une zone de préchauffage, une zone de chauffage, et une zone de refroidissement, ledit four comportant
une paroi supérieure et deux parois latérales opposées, qui définissent un tunnel, la paroi supérieure et chacune des parois latérales au moins au niveau de la zone de chauffage étant formées d'une paire d'enveloppes intérieure et extérieure agencées de manière opposée qui sont mutuellement espacées à peu près sur toute leur étendue,
plusieurs brûleurs montés dans chacune des parois latérales au niveau de la zone de chauffage, chaque brûleur ayant des entrées pour le combustible et pour l'air de combustion, respectivement, l'entrée d'air de combustion située au niveau de chaque brûleur communicant avec les espaces interconnectés définis entre lesdites enveloppes intérieure et extérieure des parois supérieure et latérales, et
des moyens d'alimentation en air pour l'ali- i-mentation forcée d'air de combustion à l'intérieur desdits espaces interconnectés.
2. Four tunnel selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les moyens d'alimentation en air sont connectés à l'espace de la paroi supérieure, les bruleurs étant agencés au niveau d'une partie inférieure de chacune des parois latérales.
3. Four tunnel selon la revendication 2, dans lequel les moyens d'alimentation en air sont connectés audit espace adjacent à la ligne centrale longitudinale de la paroi supérieure.
4. Four tunnel selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel chacun desdits espaces est défini entre des couches opposées d'un matériau à peu près imperméable aux gaz formant, respectivement, le côté intérieur de l'enveloppe extérieure et le côté extérieur de l'enveloppe intérieure.
5. Four tunnel selon la revendication 4, dans lequel lesdites couches sont des plaques ou des feuilles métalliques.
6. Four tunnel selon la revendication 4, dans lequel lesdites feuilles métallique sont réalisées en acier inoxydable.
7. Four tunnel selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel la paroi supérieure et les parois latérales opposées au niveau de la zone de chauffage sont formées par deux des éléments formant enveloppes intérieure et extérieure ayant chacune une section transversale à peu près en forme de U renversé, un espace de largeur pratiquement uniforme étant défini entre la surface extérieure de l'élément formant enveloppe intérieure et la surface intérieure de l'élément formant enveloppe extérieure.
8. Four tunnel selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, dans lequel l'enveloppe intérieure de chaque paroi est réalisée en matériau formant brique réfractaire, tandis que l'enveloppe extérieure de chaque paroi est réalisée en matériau isolant thermiquement.
9. Four tunnel selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, dans lequel l'épaisseur totale de chacune des parois supérieure et latérales est de 300 à 800 mm, de préférence 500 à 600 mm.
10. Four tunnel selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, dans lequel l'espacement des enveloppes intérieure et extérieure est de 20 à 50 mm, de préférence d'environ de 30 mm.
