Claims (10)
- Procédé pour empêcher la formation de plis et le dépôt d'oxydes sur les surfaces de laminage d'une billette pour laminage (20) en alliage d'aluminium, en particulier en alliage aluminium-magnésium, au cours de la coulée continue électromagnétique verticale à l'aide d'un inducteur (12) sensiblement rectangulaire et d'un piège à scorie (26) plongeant dans la tête de fusion (28) de la billette pour laminage (20), caractérisé en ce que le piège à scorie (26) qui s'étend au moins sur les côtés longitudinaux (x₁) de l'inducteur (12) et qui est disposé parallèlement et à distance (b) de ceux-ci est déplacé horizontalement dans un sens et dans l'autre dans sa direction longitudinale (m).
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'un cycle de mouvement se déroule en 1 à 8 s, de préférence en environ 3 s.
- Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que le déplacement horizontal du piège à scorie (26) entre deux positions terminales est de 5 à 15 mm, de préférence d'environ 8 mm.
- Procédé selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le piège à scorie (26) est amené à vibrer en direction verticale.
- Procédé selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que la fréquence de vibration est de 50 à 1 000 Hz, de préférence de 400 à 600 Hz.
- Procédé selon la revendication 4 ou 5, caractérisé en ce que l'accélération du mouvement de vibration est comprise entre ± 20 g et ± 60 g.
- Procédé selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que la profondeur de plongée du piège à scorie (26) dans la tête de fusion (28) est de 5 à 15 mm, de préférence d'environ 10 mm.
- Dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'une des revendications 1 à 7 dans une installation de coulée continue électromagnétique verticale (10) avec un inducteur (12) sensiblement rectangulaire et un piège à scorie (26) sensiblement rectangulaire qui plonge dans la tête de fusion (28) de la billette pour laminage (20), caractérisé en ce que le piège à scorie (26) est fixé sur un cadre support (24) qui est couplé à une extrémité à un cylindre pneumatique (30) fixe par rapport à l'inducteur et qui est guidé à l'autre extrémité dans un guide (36) fixe par rapport à l'inducteur (12).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 8, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un vibrateur (40), de préférence un vibrateur à billes, est fixé sur le cadre support (24).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 8 ou 9, caractérisé en ce que la distance (b) entre les côtés longitudinaux (x₁, x₂), sensiblement parallèles entre eux, de l'inducteur (12) et du piège à scorie (26) est de 50 à 100 mm, de préférence d'environ 70 à 80 mm.
