- the 3 sheets are made of butyl rubber.
- any suitable elastomeric material can be used to make the seal 7. However, it is recommended to use a silicone, butyl or nitrile rubber or Viton® as elastomer.
- the composite joint 7 can be manufactured by stacking sheets of suitable shore hardness followed by cutting under pressure to make the holes. It is also conceivable that the composite joint 7 is produced in a single sheet but having in its thickness a layer of hardness shore A adpatate obtained by varying for example the composition of the elastomer (filler, catalyst, plasticizer, etc ... ).
