Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drain pump according to claim 1.
  • DE-U-92 06 667.4 discloses a drain pump driven by a single-phase synchronous motor and having a horizontal pump wheel axis with a central outer edge on the outside, in the position of use essentially vertically outgoing pressure nozzle; In order to reduce the operating noise with the best possible delivery rate, a funnel-shaped transition between the pump chamber of the pump housing and the end of the pressure port on the pump housing side is provided.
  • JP-A-60 237 195 discloses a pump unit with a pump wheel axis that is vertical in the position of use and a correspondingly horizontal pump wheel in a pump housing with an axial suction port in the lower end face and a pressure port with its opening that extends over the entire circumferential height of the pump housing is so high that its lower limit is at the height of the upper limit of the impeller; Intake and discharge ports are each connected to an essentially horizontal inlet and outlet pipe. By raising the pressure port, the aim is to ensure that the pump impeller is fully immersed in liquid even if the installation to the horizontal supply and discharge pipes of the pump unit is inaccurate.
  • the period of time that the drain pump needs after switching on again until its maximum delivery rate is achieved is to be shortened in a simple manner while maintaining a low-noise operating behavior; the solution to this problem is achieved with a driven by a single-phase synchronous motor Drain pump by the teaching of claim 1; advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
  • the gas bubble which forms after the pump unit is switched off above the residual liquid remaining in the pump chamber of the pump housing is at least partially displaced by the pressure of the residual liquid into the pressure port chamber area initially closed to the outside by the check valve, so that the liquid level in the pump chamber rises, so that the impeller is immersed deeper into the liquid and, thanks to improved pumping when the pump unit is switched on again, its maximum delivery rate can be reached much faster than is possible with known pumps driven by single-phase synchronous motors, for which a pump is not offset or displaced with respect to the pump axis .
  • Congruent outlet of the pressure port in the sense of a flow geometry symmetrical for both directions of rotation of the pump wheel was considered necessary;
  • the pressure port chamber area is expediently chosen to be so large that its volume corresponds to at least 1/4 of the volume of the pump chamber of the pump housing.
  • liquid pump unit according to the invention results due to the cramped installation conditions, in particular as a drain pump arranged underneath a dishwasher inner floor.
  • the drive used as the electric motor 1 is a single-phase synchronous motor with a wound stator pack 11 and a rotor permanent magnet 13 attached to a rotor shaft 12.
  • the motor housing flange 14 is tightly connected with its pump housing flange 14 to a pump housing 2 via screws 9, in its pump chamber 27
  • Pump wheel 3 is fastened on one end of the correspondingly elongated rotor shaft 12, which is horizontal in the position of use.
  • the liquid conveyed by the pump wheel 3 during operation of the electric motor 1 is sucked in through a suction nozzle 21 which is formed in the axial direction on the pump housing 2 and opens into the pump chamber 27, and to a pressure nozzle 22 which extends from the outer circumference of the pump housing 2 and also opens into the pump chamber 27 promoted.
  • FIG. 4 shows a front view of the pump chamber 3 with the electric motor 1 dismantled, a drain pump with an axially outgoing suction port 21 and, in the position of use, horizontally in the middle from the pump chamber 27 outgoing pressure port 22, that its central axis is at the same height as that Pump wheel axis 31 is.
  • the pressure port 22 opens into a drain hose 7 with its outlet higher.
  • a check valve 5 prevents the pumped water in the drain hose 7 from flowing back into the pump chamber 27.
  • the pump pressure When pumping, the pump pressure must be greater than the water column above it, which is determined by the height of the outlet of the drain hose 7.
  • this gas bubble 4 is located solely within the pump chamber 27, so that the pump wheel 3 is immersed to a large extent in this gas bubble and the gas bubble 4 when the driving electric motor is switched on again is swirled with the residual liquid to form a mixture, thereby hindering a maximum pumping out of the liquid through the drain hose 7.
  • FIG. 3 shows, in contrast to FIG. 4, a drain pump, in which, according to a feature of the invention, the pressure port 22 is offset upward relative to the pump wheel axis 31 such that one remaining above the residual liquid 8 in the pump chamber 27 when the pump wheel 3 is stopped Gas bubble 4 can also extend into the area of the pressure port 22;
  • the pump wheel 3 plunges deeper into the residual liquid 8, so that when it is renewed Switching on the single-phase synchronous motor driving the pump wheel 3 largely swirls the residual liquid avoided with the gas bubble and instead liquid can be pumped out directly via the drain hose 7 and the opened check valve 5; this advantageously allows the pumping times and thus the total operating time of a washing or rinsing cycle to be markedly reduced.
  • the pressure connection 22 is advantageously displaced so far upwards relative to the central arrangement according to FIG. 4 that, on the one hand, the funnel-shaped expansion of the inner transition region 23 from the pump housing 2 to the pump housing side, which is advantageous for the operation of a pump with a single-phase synchronous motor End of the pressure port 22 is guaranteed and, on the other hand, the greatest possible displacement of the gas bubble 4 from the area of the pump chamber 27 into the area of the pressure port 22 is ensured.
  • the pressure port 22 is designed in the sense of a spaced horizontal pressure port chamber region 24 between the mouth of the pressure port 22 into the pump chamber 27 of the pump housing 2 on the one hand and a check valve 5 which is closed when the pump wheel is stopped.
  • the pressure connection 22 can also be shifted upwards to such an extent that at least its upper inner wall lies above the radially upper boundary wall of the pump chamber 27, a funnel-shaped transition area 23, as previously shown, also being provided .
  • the pressure port according to FIG. 2 is to be placed somewhat lower in comparison to the mouthpiece according to FIG 4 possible in the area of the pressure port 22 or in the pressure port chamber area 24 and thus a deeper immersion of the pump wheel in the residual liquid is guaranteed.
  • FIG. 2 shows the advantageous arrangement of the liquid pump unit according to the invention as a drain pump underneath a dishwasher inner floor 6, the drain pump having an axially outgoing suction port 21 and a horizontally outgoing pressure port 22, which is offset upwards from the horizontal pump wheel axis 31, being fastened to the dishwasher via a fastening flange 25.
