- the pre-spreading housings 20 provided with their conveyor screws 21 can be moved laterally relative to the longitudinal axis of the device feed, by any adjustment means known per se and not shown, for the purpose of adjusting the desired pre-spread width.
- the lateral adjustment of the conveyor screws 21 can be controlled, by any suitable servo device, at the adjustment chosen for the spreading width L of the finisher.
- the hopper 10 In its lower wall 11, the hopper 10 has a central opening 23 and two or more lateral openings 24. Under the lateral openings 24 are disposed lateral means for transporting the mixes towards the rear 16 of the hopper 10 and towards the lateral tunnels 17 opening into the pre-spreading housings 20. These lateral transport hubs are in particular made up of conveyor chains with bars 25, driven autonomously by motor means (not shown) integrated into the supply device 7 itself. This further comprises autonomous propulsion means, distinct from those of the finisher 1, and constituted in particular by the tracks 9, but the drive of which is controlled by any servo means known per se, to the propulsion means of the finisher .
- These transport means 26 are in particular constituted by one or more conveyor chains 26 with bars forming part of the finisher 1 itself, arranged under the central opening 23 of the feed device 7 according to the invention, for withdrawing the coated materials and bringing them towards the rear 27 of the finisher 1 (FIG. 5).

However, they also pass laterally with respect to the central conveying means, which has the effect of limiting the lateral displacements of the coated materials, and consequently of increasing the rate of work of the finisher-feed device assembly.
- the feed device 7 is independent of the paver, and its forward speed is controlled by that of the paver by appropriate proximity sensors.
