- the invention relates to methods for reinforcing concrete structures according to the preamble of claims 1, 3, 17.
- Concrete structures must be reinforced. Slack steel bars or steel mats are usually used for this. These have the advantage that they can be cut and bent as required, depending on the local conditions. This process is limited to low grade steels. High quality steels cannot be used to advantage because of their high elongation. It has therefore been proposed to insert flaccid precast concrete elements into the in-situ concrete for the reinforcement of concrete structures, which in turn are prestressed with high-quality steel bars. However, these have not prevailed because the nature of these reinforcement elements as pre-stressed precast elements resulted in a restriction to straight pieces. So they are out of the question as a general replacement for flaccid reinforcement steel.
- the advantage of the invention is that it enables the extension of the use of the concrete bar reinforcement to curved and flat reinforcement elements.
- thicker rods can be made from thin strips by lamination. A single, continuously operable fitted bed is therefore sufficient.

- a special feature of further processing is used for semi-finished goods that have the cross-section of a wire and can therefore be processed using techniques known from rope technology. These rope or strand parts can be further processed into new reinforcement elements, and they can also be used directly like ropes or strands.
- the remaining concrete-fiber mixture is again introduced with spraying systems for concrete and fibers 42, 44 (FIG. 5 d), and as the filled formwork moves further under an end roller 50, the concrete is compacted and smoothed (FIG. 5 e). The concrete reinforcement element is then treated and hardened.
- Reinforcement elements made of thin strips or mats are suitable for the renovation or reinforcement of concrete structures that show large cracks or flaking in the tensile zone by gluing the mats onto old components. They adapt better to the uneven concrete surface than the commonly used steel plates.
