Definitions
- the invention relates to a bolt-driving tool with the features listed in the preamble of claim 1, as are known from DE-A-2 549 196.
- Bolt-setting tools of the type mentioned are operated by means of powder power by igniting a propellant charge supplied to the bolt-setting device.
- This ignition of the propellant charge acts on an internal piston, which in turn acts on the fastening element to be driven into a subsurface.
- This fastener to be driven into a base is guided in the known bolt-setting tools in a bolt guide which is arranged coaxially to a guide sleeve which can be displaced axially to achieve an ignition-ready position relative to a housing of the bolt-setting tool and which serves to accommodate the piston.
- this cracking can lead to disadvantages, such as damage to the surface or unsightly visual effects. Things become particularly critical when sensitive parts, such as cable ducts made of plastic, have to be fastened to the surface. If the bolt-setting tool hits with such a cable duct or a similarly designed plastic part with its bolt guide, this can lead to damage due to crack formation, which may cause the part to be fastened to be unusable.
- stud setting devices with so-called concrete attachments are known, which operate on the principle of an inert mass that is displaceable relative to the stud guide.
- a bolt gun is known for example from DE-A 25 49 196.
- a guide sleeve is mounted in a housing so that it can be displaced axially to a limited extent.
- the concrete attachment in the form of a receiving sleeve partially surrounds the bolt guide and can be moved axially to a limited extent.
- a pin screw is used, which protrudes into a longitudinal groove of the bolt guide to form stops.
- the stops are designed in such a way that the end face of the receiving sleeve on the setting direction can be displaced opposite the setting direction on the end side of the bolt guide on the setting direction. In the setting direction, the stops enable the end face of the receiving sleeve on the setting direction to project slightly beyond the end face of the bolt guide on the setting direction.
- the invention has for its object to provide a bolt-actuating device with which damage to the surface of substrates and damage to parts to be fastened to it by sliding and subsequent knocking down is avoided.
- the stop surface of the bolt guide facing the setting direction is formed by the end face of the bolt guide on the setting direction side.
- the stop edge of the receiving sleeve facing away from the setting direction is advantageously formed by a shoulder projecting into the projection surface of the end face of the bolt guide on the setting direction.
- the greatest possible distance advantageously corresponds 3 to 5 times the outside diameter of the bolt guide between the shoulder and the end direction of the bolt guide on the setting direction.
- Bolt-setting tools are equipped with a safety device, so that a pressing process must take place before the actual setting process, in which the guide tube must be moved into a position ready for ignition within the housing. So that the receiving sleeve cooperating with the guide tube cannot be gripped around outside and moved against the setting direction, the receiving sleeve is expediently at least partially surrounded by an axially displaceable protective sleeve which has a stop shoulder that faces away from the setting direction and interacts with a setting face side of the housing.
- the guide sleeve of the bolt-firing tool can be moved into the ignition-ready position against the setting direction, a contact pressure must be applied to the bolt-firing tool.
- the receiving sleeve and the guide tube are axially displaced. To ensure that there is sufficient axial displacement, it must be ensured that the protective sleeve or the length of both protective caps is not too large.
- the distance measured between the end face of the housing and the end face of the receiving sleeve on the setting direction is therefore greater than the distance between the stop shoulder and a free end of the protective sleeve on the setting direction.
- the receiving sleeve in the area on the setting direction expediently has an element which increases the friction on the lateral surface.
- the friction-increasing element is advantageously formed by a rubber-elastic ring.
- a receiving sleeve 4 In the front area on the setting direction, a receiving sleeve 4 is at least partially surrounded by an axially displaceable protective sleeve 5.
- the receiving sleeve 4 projects with its end face 4c on the setting direction into a component 7 lying on the surface O of a substrate U.
- the front area of the bolt-actuating device shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrates the telescopic displaceability of the receiving sleeve 4 relative to the bolt guide 3.
- an axial displacement of the guide sleeve 2 against the setting direction is necessary, so that the guide sleeve 2 arrives in a position ready for ignition. In that position, the ignition mechanism, not shown, can be actuated with the trigger 1b.
- a bolt guide 3 projects at least partially into a central receiving bore 2a of the guide sleeve 2.
- the bolt guide 3 is secured against falling out of the central receiving bore 2a by means of a nut 6, which interacts with an external thread arranged on a shoulder and an internal thread of the guide sleeve 2.
- the bolt guide 3 In the front area on the setting direction, the bolt guide 3 has an abutment surface 3a pointing in the opposite direction to the setting direction, in the form of a circumferentially formed collar, which serves for axially limited displacement of the receiving sleeve 4 in the setting direction.
- a corresponding stop edge 4a of the receiving sleeve 4 facing the setting direction interacts with the stop surface 3a of the bolt guide 3.
- the bolt guide 3 has a central through hole 3c, which serves to guide a percussion piston, not shown, and a set side 3b on the setting direction, which cooperates with a shoulder 4b of the receiving sleeve 4 against the setting direction when the receiving sleeve 4 is axially displaced and thus limits the axial displacement of the receiving sleeve 4 .
- the shoulder 4b is arranged on the inside of the receiving sleeve 4 and has the shape of a circumferential shoulder.
- the receiving sleeve 4 has a central bore 4e, the diameter of which corresponds essentially to the diameter of the through bore 3c of the bolt guide 3.
- the protective sleeve 5, which at least partially surrounds the receiving sleeve 4, consists of two protective caps 5a, 5b.
- the end face 5f of the protective cap 5a facing away from the setting direction cooperates with the end face 5e of the protective cap 5b on the setting direction, when the protective cap 5a is pulled back against the setting direction.
- the protective cap 5b has a stop shoulder 5c which faces away from the setting direction and which comes to rest against a setting face on the setting direction side 1a of the housing 1 when the protective caps 5b are displaced counter to the setting direction.
- the distance B measured between the end face 1a of the housing 1 and the setting side 4c of the receiving sleeve 4 is greater than the distance C between the stop shoulder 5c and a free end 5d of the protective sleeve 5 on the setting direction.
- the receiving sleeve 4 can be displaced so far in relation to the bolt guide 3 in the setting direction that the distance A between the setting direction side 3b of the pin guide 3 and the shoulder 4b of the receiving sleeve 4 corresponds to 3 to 5 times the outside diameter D of the pin guide 3.
- the receiving sleeve 4 projects with its end face 4c on the setting direction into a receiving bore of a component 7.
- the component 7 is equipped with a thrust washer 8, the outside diameter of which essentially corresponds to the outside diameter of the receiving sleeve 4.
- the thrust washer 8 has a cylindrical projection which at least partially projects into the central bore 4e of the receiving sleeve 4.
- a fastening element 9 in the form of a nail protrudes through the thrust washer 8 into a base U.
- the position shown in FIG. 3 shows the bolt-setting tool shortly after the nail has been driven in while the bolt-setting device is being lifted from the surface O of the substrate U due to the recoil force.
- the receiving sleeve 4 is moved in relation to the bolt guide 3 in the setting direction.
- the receiving sleeve 4 has a rubber-elastic ring 10 mounted in a circumferential recess 11 in the front direction of the seating direction.
- the radial depth of the circumferential recess 11 decreases in the setting direction, so that a wedge surface arises, along which the rubber-elastic ring 10 moves when there is an axial displacement of the receiving sleeve 4 with respect to the component 7 against the setting direction.
