Definitions
- the invention relates to a block bottom bag made of plastic-coated paper on the inside, with two rectangular flaps folded inwards from both narrow sides of the rectangular bottom and with two flaps formed by the folding of the flaps, starting from the broad sides of the bottom, from below onto the bottom Flaps folded and glued, triangular or trapezoidal tabs and an inner bar formed by a rectangular sheet made of the material of the bag, which is glued from above over the inner end regions of the flaps and folded down around the lateral edges of the flaps, and a method for manufacturing the same of such a block bottom bag.
- Block bottom bags of this type are known in different sizes and from different materials, so that a more detailed explanation of the folding of the bottom is not necessary.
- these floors are not always completely sealed.
- fine-grained bulk goods or powders can penetrate between the flaps and flaps of the floor and often escape at least in small quantities.
- a so-called inner latch has brought about a considerable improvement in that it bridges the two flaps folded in from the narrow sides and produces a completely smooth floor surface.
- bulk goods can still get under the flaps and the inner bolts along the broad edges of the floor. This can not only lead to the bulk material escaping, but it is also considered disadvantageous that the known bags cannot be emptied completely or only with great difficulty.
- the remaining remnants of the filling, such as a detergent are disadvantageous when the bag is disposed of.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing a block bottom bag of the above type in such a way that the bottom is absolutely tight even when receiving fine-grained or powdery bulk materials.
- a method is to be specified which enables rational production of such a block-bottom bag.
- REPLACEMENT BLA ⁇ (RULE 26) The type mentioned above is solved by a continuous weld line along the broad edges of the base, which the upward-facing plastic coating of the tabs with the downward-facing plastic coating of the downwardly folded ends of the inner bar and outside of the inner bar with the downward-facing plastic area Layering of the triangular surfaces connecting the flaps and tabs is welded.
- narrow-sided and broad-sided edges of the floor are spoken of only for reasons of distinctness.
- the bottom does not have to be rectangular, but can also be square.
- the weld lines do not have to be linear in the narrower sense, but can also be designed in the form of strips.
- the welding according to the invention creates a tight dividing line between the bottom interior of the bag and the triangular or trapezoidal tabs, and since the bottom flaps are connected to one another by the inner bolt and form a closed, dense surface with the latter, the bulk material can no longer escape ⁇ Lich.
- FIG. 1 shows a first step in the production of a block-bottom bag with an inner bar
- Fig. 2 illustrates the gluing of the inner bar
- FIG. 3 shows the next step in folding and gluing the bottom
- Fig. 4 illustrates the final gluing of the tabs
- Fig. 5 shows the finished block bottom bag
- Fig. 6 shows the block bottom bag in the flat state.
- the block bottom bag shown in FIG. 1 has two broad side walls 10 and two narrow side walls, a folded side walls 12 in the center line.
- two inwardly directed, rectangular flaps 14, 16 are formed which partially cover the open bottom of the bag and which, in the case of triangular surfaces 18, 20, 22, 24, are connected to the projecting ends of the broad side walls 10 are and with these - depending on the width of the bag - form triangular or trapezoidal tabs 26, 28.
- a so-called inner bolt 30 is provided, which consists of a rectangular cut of the material of the bag and which is somewhat wider than the bottom of the bag, so that the on the broad side of the bottom, ends 32, 34 of the inner bolt which go beyond the flaps 14, 16 are folded over around the flaps 14, 16 or the triangular surfaces 18, 20, 22, 24 to the underside of the flaps.
- the terms “above” and “below” refer to the position of an upright bag which is open at the top.
- the figures of the drawing each show a perspective view of the underside of the bag.
- the inner bar 30 is glued to the top of the flaps 14, 16 with the aid of glue strips 36, 38.
- the protruding ends 32, 34 of the inner bar are glued to the triangular surfaces 18, 20, 22, 24 that extend these, as shown in FIG. 2. In this way, the flaps 14, 16 on the bottom and the inner bar 30 form a continuous bottom surface of the bag.
- Fig. 3 differs from Fig. 2 in that in Fig. 3, the second flap 16 is folded inwards and glued to the inner bar 30.
- FIG 3 shows two welding lines 40, 42 according to the invention which, along the broad edges of the bottom, have the inner bar 30 with the inner surface of the tabs and - outside the inner bar 30 - the triangular surfaces 18, 20, 22, 24 weld with the tabs 26,28.
- the material of the bag is a plastic-coated paper, in particular a paper coated with polyethylene, the coating of which lies on the inside of the bag, the surfaces of the tabs 26, 28 visible in FIG. 3 and not visible surfaces of the triangular surfaces 18, 20, 22, 24 and the non-visible ends 32.34 of the inner bolt 30 the plastic coating. These surfaces can thus be welded, for example, by the action of heat with the aid of a rod-shaped visual tool, not shown. Since the bottom thus forms a completely smooth and dense surface due to the glued-on inner bar and, moreover, a tight welding line 40, 42 is provided to the sides of the bottom, which prevents the bulk material from escaping into the tabs 26, 28, is the bag practically absolutely tight.
- Fig. 4 shows a further aspect in the manufacture of the bag, namely the final gluing of the flaps 26, 28 with the aid of a flap 14, 16 over the underside of the flaps along their mutually facing edges and in their extension along the inner surface of the last flap 28 and along the outer edge of this tab connected glue strip 44, as shown in Fig. 4.
- the first flap according to FIG. 4 is first folded in and pressed onto the glue strip, and then the lower flap 28 is folded up and pressed onto the upper flap 26.
- FIG. 5 finally shows the bottom of the bag after the two tabs 26.28 have been closed.
- the inner bolt 30 is shown in dashed lines in FIG. 5.
- the welding lines 40, 42 are only applied when the block bottom bag is in the flat state shown in FIG. 6 after the bottom has been closed. In this state, the narrow side walls 12 of the bag are folded inwards and the wide side walls 10 lie flat on one another.
- the floor which is denoted here overall by 44, is also folded into the plane of the side walls 10 and thus lies flat against the lower edge strips 10 'of the side walls 10.
- the welding tools are placed against the floor 44 in the direction of arrow A, while the counter pressure tools are placed in the direction of arrow B, so that the counter pressure is exerted on the floor through the edge strips 10 '.
- the counter pressure also acts through the main parts of the side walls 10 lying one on top of the other.
