- the data relating to the comparison examples 16a-b reported in table 3 set forth how a catalytic system obtained by starting from a metallocene of general formula (I) in which all R 2 radicals are H and with the A radical having the general formula (Ia) in which R 1 radicals in 3-, 4- and 7- positions are -CH 3 , with the residual R 1 's being all -H, is not capable to produce elastomeric polymers having a high enough Mooney viscosity.
- This example shows how the catalytic system obtained by starting from a metallocene of general formula (I) in which all R 2 's are H and with the A radical of structure (Ia) having R 1 in 3-position equal to ethyl and all other R 1 's equal to H, is capable of producing high Mooney viscosity elastomeric copolymers in high yield.
