Definitions
- the invention relates to a hand grenade with prefabricated fragments the preamble of claim 1.
- a hand grenade is known from DRP 66 46 72, in which a cargo container contains an explosive charge.
- the charge container separates the explosive charge from one cargo space filled with splinters.
- An outer body limits the latter Cargo space and is - together with the cargo container with a Head part of the hand grenade welded.
- the cargo container is cylindrical, so that it is only on its circumference and on its, facing away from the detonator Side is surrounded by splinters. The result of this is that when the hand grenade is ignited the splintering effect is only present on the circumferential and front sides, but not in Direction of the detonator. The part on the ignition side therefore represents the weak point in Relation to the fragment density and also for the explosive charge. Because of the Mass ratios and the damming effect of fragments and cargo case most of the explosive effect of the explosive charge in the axial direction of the Zünder act.
- AT-B 397 866 shows a significant improvement.
- This relates to a grenade according to the preamble of claim 1 with a multi-part splinter body Splinter body except for a diameter range for the igniter on all sides in one Housing are arranged.
- the splintering effect is, however, in the usual personal protection no longer exists.
- an outer shell consists of high-strength aluminum.
- this shell is shock-shaped inside to embed pre-made fragments.
- the shell acts as part of a support structure for the splinters. she serves not as an energy transmitter between the explosives and the prefabricated ones Splinters.
- the invention has for its object to propose a hand grenade that a configuration and weight common for hand grenade throwing has, but is increased performance.
- the invention solves this problem according to the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the increase in performance is brought about by two measures, in which the explosive charge consists of a mixture of octol and aluminum powder a grain size between 100 microns to 350 microns and the explosive charge in one Cover made of a highly ductile material.
- balls made of heavy metal are advantageously arranged on the outside in a two-shell splitter arrangement.
- the heavy metal balls therefore have a higher speed and thus a higher breakdown performance than the balls arranged inside from steel.
- An inexpensive splinter body is single-shell and has mixed balls Steel and heavy metal.
- a hand grenade 1 consists of a two-part housing 2 made of plastic, splinters 3 in spherical form, an explosive charge 4 with a two-part shell 5 made of aluminum.
- the housing 2 consists of a prefabricated upper part 15 with an integrally molded sleeve 16 for an igniter, not shown, the sleeve 16 being connected to a head 17 with an internal thread 18.
- a likewise prefabricated lower part 25, like the upper part 15, is cup-shaped and has a bottom 26. The upper part 15 and the lower part 25 are welded together at 27.
- the splitters 3 are an integral part of two prefabricated splinter bodies 30, 31.
- the separation point 32 is approximately at the level of - in two axially offset, horizontal planes - weld 27, however Separation point 32 designed as a cone 33. Through the cone 33 is a certain Damage achieved.
- the casing 5 also consists of two parts 35, 36 with a horizontal separation point 37.
- the separation point 37 is opposite the weld 27 and the conical Separation point 32 axially offset by a distance 38.
- the cast explosive charge 4 consists of a mixture of composition B and made of aluminum powder with a share of 17% and a grain size of 250 ⁇ m.
- the envelope 5 accelerates in the radial direction the splitter 3 initially as a whole, the housing 2 breaking and then in Course of the shell 5 approximately according to the individually applied splinters 3 in Splits fragments and quasi as traction sheaves the respective splinters 3 drives.
- the after-reaction of the aluminum powder in air causes an additional one Pressure surge with post-acceleration of the splinters 3.
- the inner splinter bodies 41, 42 have a welding spot 27 around the distance 46 offset separation point 47 and have balls 6 made of steel balls.
- the outer splinter bodies 43, 44 with the separation point 32 designed as a cone contain balls 7 of heavy metal, namely tungsten.
- the function of the hand grenade 40 largely corresponds to that of the hand grenade 1 described function.
- the difference is that the splinters 3 are made of heavy metal during the detonation of the explosive charge 4, initially indirectly through the fragments 3 be accelerated from steel so that a, compared to the hand grenade 1 something lower breakthrough performance.
- a single-shell splinter body 60 has mixed balls 6, 7 in two Rows 61, 62 made of steel and heavy metal on The mixed arrangement of the balls 6, 7 can be single row or double row.
- the shell 5 can also consist of iron, titanium or copper.
- the splinter body 30, 31 and 41 - 44 have a plastic matrix for the splitters 3, 6.
