Definitions

  • the invention relates to a balance according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a scale is known from DE-A1-2 206 598. With this bathroom scale, the housing (or a corresponding rod with stops) carrying the tread plate and the test setup is inserted directly into the shaft.
  • this scale can only be removed from the shaft for cleaning or maintenance purposes, for example, if a sufficiently large gap is left between the edge of the tread plate and the edge of the shaft in order to be able to insert tools for lifting the tread plate into this gap. Also due to tolerances in the manufacture of such shafts, there can be a considerable gap between the edge of the tread plate and the edge of the shaft. This relatively large gap makes it possible for considerable amounts of moisture and dirt to penetrate into the balance when cleaning the surfaces and the plate.
  • a weighbridge is known from EP-A2-0232909, in which a trough or a foundation frame made of polymer concrete is used as a base.
  • the trough can be embedded in a carriageway and carries a balance bridge, which is also made of polymer concrete, via force measuring elements.
  • Trough and scale bridge can also have an enlarged gap between them, into which elastomeric material is introduced for sealing and for shock protection. This weighbridge can also be used free-standing.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a scale of the type mentioned, which is more closed and yet can easily be lifted out of the shaft for cleaning purposes, for changing the battery or for weighing larger objects.
  • An expedient, further embodiment of the invention provides that part of the step plate is framed by a bracket which is articulated to the scales and in the rest position is flush with the floor.
  • An alternative embodiment of the invention provides that a spring-loaded key is embedded in the step plate, which can be pivoted vertically on a housing part of the scale. After pressing the key, the edge of the step plate can be gripped at the point of the key and the scale can thus be lifted out in a simple manner.
  • the key is operatively connected to pretensioned lifting means which are attached to the housing of the balance and can be unlocked by the key.
  • pretensioned lifting means can be provided on at least two sides of the scale.
  • Another embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the balance has means for blocking the measurement and that these blocking means can be unlocked by pressing the key. In this way it can be achieved on the one hand that the scale can be walked on without restriction when not in use; on the other hand, the key is used twice.
  • the scale has an electrical measuring device and that an electrical switch can be actuated by the key, which switches on the electrical measuring device. In this way, electricity is only consumed when a measurement is taking place.
  • the measuring device switched on by the switch remains switched on for a predetermined period of time independently of the switch.
  • the button for switching off the measuring device need not be pressed again, which is often forgotten.
  • a further embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the plate carries an elastic covering which can be connected watertight to the built-in trough at its edge. This completely prevents water from entering the scale.
  • the built-in wall has a circumferential joint at its upper edge, into which the edge of the covering is received.
  • An expedient, further embodiment of the invention provides that the built-in trough is flat and that several electrical measuring elements are distributed under the tread plate on a circuit board which is fastened in the scale housing. The depth of the shaft in the surface can be minimized.
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a floor section, a built-in tray and a bathroom scale according to a first embodiment of the invention
  • FIG. 2 shows a shortened section through the floor and built-in trough with the uncut scale according to FIG. 1,
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a plate with a bracket for lifting the scales
  • Fig. 7 shows a section through a measuring device for the plate
  • Fig. 9 shows a section through a scale with the plate of Fig. 8 and
  • Figures 1 and 2 show a first embodiment of a bathroom scale according to the invention.
  • This scale is preferably used in bathrooms because there are often no shelves for common scales and dressing and undressing takes place there.
  • This scale also makes it easier to weigh those people who have difficulty keeping their balance due to age or other reasons. Furthermore, such a scale does not further reduce the freedom of movement of the user, which is often restricted in bathrooms.
  • a built-in trough 1 made of metal or plastic is introduced into a shaft 3 formed in the floor screed 2 and is grouted there with a floor covering 4, which is formed here from tiles, with a grout 5.
  • the built-in trough 1 is designed so that a personal scale 6 is centered exactly when it is inserted into this built-in trough.
  • the scale 6 consists of a two-part housing 7, which contains a mechanical, electrical or electronic weighing system, not shown.
  • a cantilevered step plate 8 is applied to the movable housing upper part, which preferably consists of an abrasion-resistant, walkable material, for example glass, ceramic, stone or metal.
  • the tread plate 8 has a transparent window 9, preferably made of glass, which reveals the view of a weight reading element, for example a mechanically movable scale or a digital LED or LCD display.
  • the tread plate 8 is dimensioned to fit the installation trough 1.
  • a button 10 which can be swiveled downward, the surface of which forms a plane with the surface of the step plate 8.
  • the button 10 is articulated on the lower housing part. For actuation, the button 10 is pressed down, whereby the user can reach under the overhanging step plate 8 and lift and remove the scale 6.
  • the pivotable key 10 In order to activate the weighing function, preferably in the case of an electronic balance, the pivotable key 10 is pressed down and an electrical switch (not shown) is actuated. As soon as the display shows a value "0" and / or an acoustic signal sounds, the user can switch the Enter scale 6. Within a predetermined time, which is independent of the key 10, the user weight is then indicated on the display or acoustically.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 Another embodiment of the scale, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, has a foldable bracket 11, which frames part of a step plate 8a and is articulated on the scale.
  • the bracket 11 can be pivoted from the surface-flush rest position into the grip position by pressure on its bracket ends 12, 13 and facilitates the removal of the scale, for example for cleaning purposes.
  • a further embodiment of the scale has, according to FIG. 5, a tread plate 8b which is provided with a covering 14 made of permanently elastic material, preferably rubber.
  • a built-in trough 1a is provided on the upper edge with a circumferential groove 15, in which the edge 16 of the covering 14 engages.
  • another embodiment of the scale preferably has four measuring elements 17-20 connected to an electronic central unit (not shown) on the outer contour, which are located in the same plane as a tread plate 8c. This enables the production of a particularly flat scale, which facilitates installation in floors with underfloor heating.
  • FIGS. 8 and 9 another, also very flat embodiment of the scale according to FIGS. 8 and 9 has a large number of measuring elements, such as the Measuring elements 21, with a particularly low height, distributed under a plate 8d, these measuring elements being arranged together with an electronic central unit on a common printed circuit board 22 which is fastened in a housing 7a of the balance.
  • measuring elements 21 such as the Measuring elements 21, with a particularly low height, distributed under a plate 8d, these measuring elements being arranged together with an electronic central unit on a common printed circuit board 22 which is fastened in a housing 7a of the balance.
  • the assigned installation trays can be made flat.
  • another embodiment of the scale has a tread plate 8e, which consists of a flat trough 23 and a layer 24 introduced into the trough of this trough.
  • the layer 24 is flush with the upper edge of the tub 23, which is otherwise only a very small distance from the built-in tub 1.
  • the material of the layer 24 can be selected individually and therefore have different patterns and properties.
