Definitions
- the invention relates to a mattress made of elastically deformable Material, especially foam such as latex or Polyurethane, with a bed surface that forms at least one Mattress body and with several from the lying surface ventilation ducts led across the mattress body Removal of heat and moisture from the inside of the mattress and a mold for making such a mattress.
- elastically deformable Material especially foam such as latex or Polyurethane
- Mattresses with a mattress body made of polyurethane foam or a latex material have long been known. To prevent, that the person lying on the mattress at the contact surface sweating to the mattress is good ventilation of the mattress body necessary.
- a well-known mattress shows between the upper and lower flat sides of the mattress body Ventilation ducts arranged perpendicular to the lying surface on which the mattress takes up Moisture and body heat can be dissipated.
- This object is achieved according to the present invention solved that the ventilation ducts when the mattress is loaded by one person due to the deformation of the mattress material are closable.
- the mattress according to the invention preferably has a mattress body made of latex or polyurethane foam and owns several from the lying area across the mattress body guided ventilation ducts.
- Ventilation duct has at least one section that under load from the body weight of the person lying down closes, a valve effect is generated which ensures that the ventilation ducts are only available when the bed is unloaded are open. So even though from the lying area from ventilation ducts led through the mattress excessive cooling of the mattress base prevented under the body of the lying person.
- the ventilation ducts have at least one section that is connected with of the perpendicular to the lying surface forms an angle greater than zero.
- a ventilation duct can also have several such sections have so that a curved or angled Section of the ventilation duct in the mattress body is created. The angle can also be 90 °, so the section is parallel run to the lying surface.
- the ventilation ducts two each have a flat side of the mattress body vertically outgoing blind hole-like Sections on an arcuate connecting channel are interconnected.
- the connecting channel has preferably a much smaller one in the open state Passage cross section than the upper and lower sections.
- the passage cross section of the connecting channel is preferred round, rectangular or polygonal. If the passage cross section is rectangular, are in particular side lengths of on the one hand approx. 5-35 mm and on the other hand approx. 0.1-3 mm provided, because these are special for the valve function have highlighted appropriately.
- the mattress ventilation ducts arranged that are essentially rectilinear and are generally inclined.
- the ventilation ducts are therefore uniform over their entire length, in particular, it is also essentially the same Can have cross-section. Because of the inclination the channels become the respective upper side wall sections under load pressed on the lower one so that the Channels are closed. This happens as shown has, mainly in the area adjacent to the lying surface of the ventilation ducts, which is completely for the valve effect is sufficient.
- the ventilation ducts are inclined in the mattress body can also cross in pairs. Between the top two Arms of a crossed pair of ventilation ducts such a wedge-shaped section made of mattress material, which is pushed down under load and the two Ventilation ducts close.
- the ventilation ducts can generally be between the lying surface and the second flat side of the mattress body or between the lying surface and one side of the mattress body be arranged.
- the mattress is preferably made using a mold into which the material for the mattress body is introduced and is foamed or vulcanized, the form with is provided inward-facing studs, the shape of which to corresponding ventilation ducts.
- the Form corresponds to the connecting channel. The element can thereby to the side of the inside of the mattress of one of the studs go out and lie on the other stud laterally.
- the mattress body Due to the manufacturing form of the mattress body arranged studs and elements that match the cavity shape of the Ventilation ducts, remains when foaming the Foam corresponding to the studs and elements Cavity free. After finishing the mattress, the Form can be easily opened as the element for the connection channel of which one stud is carried and on which only concerns others. Then the finished mattress taken from the mold.
- the mattress 1 shown in Figure 1 consists of a mattress body 2, for example made of latex or a polyurethane foam is made.
- a mattress body 2 for example made of latex or a polyurethane foam is made.
- the mattress 1 is a surface structure with known Caverns, that is, blind-hole-like recesses 4, are arranged.
- This upper flat side 3 of the mattress 1 is so designed as a lying surface 5.
- Ventilation ducts 7 Between the upper flat side 3 and the lower flat side 6 has the mattress body 2 substantially perpendicular to Lying surface 5 arranged ventilation ducts 7.
- Each of the ventilation ducts is an exemplary embodiment 7 executed the same. However, this is for the function of the Invention not required.
- Each ventilation duct 7 has an upper one, on the upper one Flat side 3 opening section 8 and a lower, on the lower flat side 6 of the mattress body 2 opening section 9 on.
- the upper section 8 of the ventilation duct 7 is rectangular in longitudinal section, while the lower section slightly tapered towards the inside of the mattress is trained.
- the ventilation duct 7 is a valve-like under load closing area 11 arranged.
- This area 11 is in the present embodiment as an arc Connection channel 12 executed.
- the connecting channel 12 is connected to the lying surface 5 in the substantially parallel upper section 17 laterally to the Mattress inner end 13 of the upper section 8 of the ventilation duct 7 and with an adjoining, partially curved Section 18 laterally connected to the lower section 9. Between the upper and lower sections 8 and 9 of the ventilation duct 7 thus remains a web 19 made of mattress material, which is laterally limited by the connecting channel 12 becomes.
- the connecting channel 12 has, for example, in its open state a rectangular passage cross section, the one side approx. 5-35 mm and the other side approx. 0.1-3 mm measures.
- the connecting channel 12 can also round or have polygonal passage cross-section.
- Figure 2 shows the mattress 1 in the loaded state.
- the mattress body 2 is compressed and thereby the upper Side wall 14 of section 17 parallel to lying surface 5 of the connecting channel 12 on the underlying side wall 15 of the connecting channel 12 pressed and so the passage cross section of the connecting channel 12 is reduced until the to the lying surface 5 parallel section 17 from a predetermined
- the load is completely closed.
- About the elasticity of the Foam material in the valve area 11 can be closed required force of the channel.
- a mold 21 for producing the mattress 1 described is shown in Figure 3.
- the mold 21 has outer walls 22, 23 on that according to the outer design of the mattress body 2 are arranged.
- the outer walls 22, 23 form together with other outer walls of the form, not shown 21 an externally closed cavity 24, in which the Foam material of the mattress body 2 introduced and is foamed or vulcanized.
- On the outer walls 22, 23 two inwardly facing studs 26 and 27 are attached, the shape of the sections 8 and 9 to be formed Ventilation duct 7 corresponds.
- FIG 3 there are two of these Cleats 26 and 27 are shown as examples.
- the studs 26, 27 can be evenly distributed over the outer walls 22, 23 or only in the main stress zones of the mattress 1 be arranged.
- Element 28 is on the inside End 29 of the upper stud 26 attached.
- the lower end 32 is supported laterally on the lower Cleats 27 without a fixed connection, so that the element 28th with the upper stud 26 and the lower stud 27 simple can be pulled out of the mold when the mattress is fully trained.
- the element 28 is in accordance with the desired passage cross section of the connecting channel 12 round, rectangular, square or polygonal, but preferably approx. 5-35 mm wide and approx. 0.1-3 mm thick. Now fill that Form 21 with a suitable material, e.g. latex or polyurethane foam, so the ventilation ducts are formed accordingly the arrangement of the studs 26, 27 and the element 28 out.
- a suitable material e.g. latex or polyurethane foam
- FIG. 4 shows a mattress 41 according to a second embodiment in an unloaded condition.
- the mattress body 42 are between an upper lying surface 45 Flat side 43 and a lower flat side 44 four straight continuous ventilation ducts 46, 47, 48 and 49 arranged.
- the ventilation ducts 46, 47, 48 and 49 point in the unloaded State one essentially from top to bottom constant passage cross-section.
- the ventilation ducts 46, 47, 48 and 49 are opposite to the direction perpendicular to Lying surface 45 inclined at an angle.
- the ventilation ducts 46 and 47 are parallel to each other arranged while the ventilation ducts 48 and 49 are inside of the mattress body 42 cross. This embodiment the possibilities are only to clarify the arrangement of the ventilation ducts 46, 47, 48 and 49.
- the parallel ventilation ducts 46, 47 and the intersecting ventilation ducts 48, 49 also each be provided exclusively. So it can too only crossed or only uncrossed channels may be provided. Likewise, the angle of inclination of all channels can be the same or at least sometimes be different.
- a Part of the ventilation ducts also with side walls 51 of the mattress 42 are connected.
