Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Kunststoff-Flasche aus PET, PEN o.dgl., mit einem ringförmigen Stützkragen am Flaschenhals unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes, welcher Stützkragen an seinem Umfang wenigstens teilweise flächige Bereiche aufweist,
Kunststoff-Flaschen aus PET oder PEN o. dgl., welche im Spritz-Streckblasverfahren hergestellt werden, weisen in der Regel an der Mündung, unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes am Flaschenhals einen ringförmigen Stützkragen auf, welcher dem Transport der Vorformlinge und der Flaschen beim Herstellungs- und Abfüllprozess dienen. Gemäss EP-A-0 403 259 ist hierfür der an seinem Umfang flächige Stützkragen mit radialen Vertiefungen versehen, in die ein Stopp-Stift einer Station zum Auf- oder Abschrauben der Flaschen-Drehkappe eingreift zur Drehverhinderung der betreffenden Flasche.
Flaschen dieser Art sind aber im weiteren für eine maschinelle oder manuelle Sortierung nicht oder nicht genügend identifizierbar. Ebenso wenig besteht eine Identifikation als Merkmal für die Bepfandung von Flaschen, als Herstellermerkmal, als Merkmal einer Branchen- oder speziellen Kundenflasche, als Merkmal für ein spezielles Kunststoffmaterial u.a.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist deshalb die Schaffung von Flaschen der vorgenannten Art, die anhand einer spezifischen Ausbildung und ohne wesentliche Veränderung der Flasche sowie ohne wesentlichen Einfluss auf die Herstellung unverkennbar in vorstehendem Sinne identifizierbar sind.
Dies wird bei einer Kunststoff-Flasche der vorgenannten Art erfindungsgemäss dadurch erreicht, dass der Stützkragen mindestens auf seiner oberen Ringfläche wenigstens teilweise Facetten aufweist und der Stützkragen wenigstens über einen Teil seines Umfanges vieleckig ausgebildet ist.
Hierbei kann bei einer bevorzugten Ausgestaltung der Erfindung der Stützkragen als 12-Eck bis 24-Eck ausgebildet sein. Vorteilhaft ist dabei, wenn wenigstens teilweise an den flächigen Bereichen am Umfang des Stützkragens jeweils eine Facette auf der oberen Ringfläche des Stützkragens anschliesst.
Durch diese Massnahmen ist es nunmehr möglich, den ringförmigen Stützkragen am Flaschenhals unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes zusätzlich seiner bisherigen Funktion zur Identifikation von Flaschensorten zu verwenden und zwar durch eine, von der herkömmlichen, rein technisch funktionalen Ausgestaltung geringst abweichenden Formgebung. Dabei gestatten die Anordnungen von flächigen Bereichen am Umfang des Stützkragens und/oder von Facetten auf seiner Ringfläche eine praktisch unbegrenzte Vielzahl von Identifikationsmarkierungen, beispielsweise wie erwähnt, zum maschinellen oder manuellen Sortierung von Flaschen, als Markierung für die Bepfandung von Flaschen, als Herstellerkennzeichnung, als Kennzeichnung einer Branchen- oder speziellen Kundenflasche, als Hinweis auf ein spezielles Kunststoffmaterial u.a.
Beispielsweise Ausführungsformen des Erfindungsgegenstandes sind nachfolgend anhand der Zeichnung näher beschrieben. Es zeigen:

Die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen je einen ringförmigen Stützkragen 1 am Flaschenhals unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes einer Kunststoff-Flasche aus PET, PEN o.dgl., wobei hier der Stützkragen jeweils eine unterschiedliche Neigung zum Rand hin aufweist.
Erfindungsgemäss weist hierbei der Stützkragen 1 an seinem Umfang flächige Bereiche 2 (Fig.3) und auf seiner oberen Ringfläche Facetten 3 auf. Der so umfänglich vieleckig ausgebildete Stützkragen 1 stellt gemäss Fig. 1 bis 3 ein 24-Eck dar, wobei an den flächigen Bereichen am Umfang 2 des Stützkragens 1 jeweils eine Facette 3 auf der oberen Ringfläche des Stützkragens anschliesst.
Bei den teilweise angedeuteten Ausführungsformen gemäss den Fig. 4 und 5 ist der Stützkragen (1) als 12-Eck ausgebildet, wobei die Ausführungsform gemäss Fig. 4 ohne Facetten ist.
Die Vieleckigkeit nach unten ist natürlich begrenzt durch die notwendige Randbreite des Stützkragens.
Eine praktisch unbegrenzte Vielzahl von Kodierungsmöglichkeiten ergibt sich nun dadurch, dass der Stützkragen an seinem Umfang auch nur teilweise flächige Bereiche und/oder mindestens auf seiner oberen Ringfläche wenigstens teilweise Facetten aufweist.
Weiter kann auch oder nur die Unterseite des Stützkragens facettiert sein.
Diese erfindungsgemässen Massnahmen gestatten, den ringförmigen Stützkragen am Flaschenhals unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes nunmehr zusätzlich seiner bisherigen Funktion zur Identifikation von Flaschensorten zu verwenden, etwa zum maschinellen oder manuellen Sortierung von Flaschen, als Markierung für die Bepfandung von Flaschen, als Herstellerkennzeichnung, als Kennzeichnung einer Branchen- oder speziellen Kundenflasche, als Hinweis auf ein spezielles Kunststoffmaterial u.a.

Claims (3)

  1. Kunststoff-Flasche aus PET, PEN o.dgl., mit einem ringförmigen Stützkragen (1) am Flaschenhals unterhalb des Verschlussgewindes, welcher Stützkragen (1) an seinem Umfang wenigstens teilweise flächige Bereiche (2) aufweist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützkragen (1) mindestens auf seiner oberen Ringfläche wenigstens teilweise Facetten (3) aufweist und der Stützkragen (1) wenigstens über einen Teil seines Umfanges vieleckig ausgebildet ist.
  2. Kunststoff-Flasche nach Patentanspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützkragen (1) als 12-Eck bis 24-Eck ausgebildet ist.
  3. Kunststoff-Flasche nach Patentanspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wenigstens teilweise an den flächigen Bereichen am Umfang (2) des Stützkragens (1) jeweils eine Facette (3) auf der oberen Ringfläche des Stützkragens anschliesst.
