Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Endenschutz für Bahnmaterialrollen, insbesondere für auf einen Hohlkern aufgewickelte Rollen aus Web-, Vlies- oder Folienmaterial, in Form eines auf das Rollenende aufschiebbaren Napfs.
Es gibt sehr viele Bahnmaterialien, die in aufgewickelter Form als Rollen transportiert werden, von Kleider- und Möbelstoffen bis zu Kunststoff-Folien, und die eine empfindliche Oberfläche aufweisen. Als Beispiele für mittelempfindliche Materialien werden Markisen- und Planenstoffe genannt, die auch ein- oder beidseitig beschichtet sein können.
Während Kleider- und Möbelstoffe beim Transport praktisch immer mit der nötigen Sorgfalt behandelt werden, ist dies bei anderen Bahnmaterialrollen oft nicht der Fall, insbesondere wenn sie zwar von zwei Personen getragen werden sollten, sich aber von einer Person nachziehen lassen. Dabei ist die Schleifdistanz des hinteren Endes der Bahnrolle am Boden oftmals so groß, daß trotz einer Schutzhülle, die aber sehr rasch zerreißt, nicht nur die äußere Lage der gerollten Bahn, sondern mehrere Lagen davon beschädigt oder zumindest so unansehnlich werden, daß sie unbrauchbar sind und daher reklamiert wird. Hier soll eine effiziente, einfache und kostengünstige Abhilfe geschaffen werden.
Ein Endenschutz der eingangs genannten Art in Form eines Napfs ist Gegenstand der US-A-4 185 742. Der Napf ist ein kompliziertes, verklebtes Laminat aus Polyäthylenfilm, Innen- und Außendeckeln aus Pappe und einer zylindrischen Schürze aus gekreppten Kraftpapier. Er ist aufwendig in der Herstellung, jedoch trotzdem beschädigungsanfällig beim am Boden gezogen werden, wobei seine Wasserdichtheit verloren geht.
Es bestand die Aufgabe, einen Napf der eingangs genannten Art zu schaffen, der im Bodenauflegebereich eine solche Steifigkeit aufweist, daß eine gewisse Materialabtragung durch Ziehen am Boden möglich ist, ohne daß das Rollenmaterial in Bodenberührung kommt. Dementsprechend ist der erfindungsgemäße Endenschutz vor allem dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Napf einen gegenüber dem Bodenrand in Richtung seines offenen Endes eingezogenen Boden aufweist und vorzugsweise aus einer Kunststoffbahn warmgezogen ist.
Dabei weist vorteilhaft der Napf zur Erzielung eines Preßsitzes an der Rollenoberfläche eine zum Napfboden konisch verlaufende Seitenwand auf.
Bei Bahnmaterialrollen, die einen freien Innendurchmesser haben, z.B. solchen, die auf einen Hohlkern aufgewickelt sind, ist vorteilhaft, wenn der Boden des Napfs eine zentrale Vertiefung aufweist, die bei aufgesetztem Napf in den Zentralteil der Rolle eingreift, wobei die Vertiefung kegelstumpfförmig sein kann, um dort einen Klemmsitz zu erzielen. Eine weitere Ausgestaltung der Erfindung, die vor allem auch für Vollkerne geeignet ist, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Napf eine zentrale Öffnung für über die Rollenränder vorstehende Kernenden aufweist.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnung näher beschrieben, in der Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 Ansichten eines napfförmigen Endenschutzes und Fig. 3 eine Bahnmaterialrolle mit aufgeschobenem Endenschutz nach Fig. 1 und 2 im Schnitt zeigt. Fig. 4 läßt einen Napf anderer Art mit einer Zentralöffnung für vorstehende Kernenden erkennen.
Fig. 1 ist eine Draufsicht auf den Boden eines napfförmigen Endenschutzes 1 zum Aufschieben auf das Ende einer Rolle aus Bahnmaterial. Der Napf 1 ist einstückig und weist einen gegenüber dem Boden rand 2 eingezogenen ebenen Boden 3 auf, der eine zentrale Vertiefung 4 trägt. Die Seitenwand 5 des Napfs 1 verläuft in einem Winkel zur Napiboden so, daß sich der Napf vom Bodenrand 2 zum offenen Ende 7 hin erweitert.
Auf der anderen Seite verläuft die Seitenwand 8 der Vertiefung ebenfalls im Winkel zur Napfachse 6, aber so, daß sich die Vertiefung 4 in Richtung zum offenen Ende 7 hin verjüngt.
Aus Fig. 3 erkennt man, daß zur Verwendung der Napf 1 auf eine Bahnmaterialrolle 9 aufgeschoben wird, die aus einem Hohlkern 10 mit aufgewickelten Bahnlagen 11 besteht. In der Endposition liegt das Rollenende am Boden 3 innen an, wobei einerseits Klemmung zwischen Vertiefung 4 und Hohlkern 10 und anderseits Klemmung zwischen Seitenwand 5 und der äußersten Bahnlage erzielt wird. In Fig. 3 ist eine sackartige Schutzhülle 12 dargestellt, die über das ganze gezogen ist - der Napf 1 kann aber auch erst nach Anbringen der Schutzhülle 12 aufgeschoben werden. Dies ist besonders dann vorteilhaft, wenn die Schutzhülle 12 ein Endlosschlauch ist, der entsprechend abgelängt und zusammengebunden wird. Dann kann das zusammengebundene Ende in die Öffnung des Hohlkerns 10 hineingeschoben und dann der Napf 1 aufgesteckt werden.
Vor allem ist natürlich der Endenschutz gedacht, mindestens einen der Ränder der Außenlage des Bahnmaterials zu schützen, und insbesondere Beschädigungen zu vermeiden, die beim leider üblichen Nachziehen der Bahnmaterialrollen dadurch entstehen, daß deren nachgezogenes Ende am Boden schleift. In diesem Zusammenhang ist vorgesehen, daß der Napfboden eingezogen ist, sodaß ein versteifter Bodenrand 2 entsteht, der auch um ein gewisses Maß abgetragen werden kann, bevor eine Beschädigung des Bahnmaterials auftreten kann.
Vorteilhaft besteht der Napf 1 aus Kunststoffmaterial, insbesondere aus Thermoplast, das einfach warmgezogen werden kann. Es ist aber auch daran gedacht, Pappmaterial zu verwenden und so zu verarbeiten, wie dies bei den Profilkartons zum Verpacken von Eiern geschieht. Bei sichergestellter Rezyklierung, z.B. beim Transport vom Hersteller zum Verarbeiter, sind selbstverständlich teurere Materialien denkbar.
Die Rollen selbst können außer aus Web- und Vliesmaterialien auch aus den verschiedensten Folienmaterialien aus Kunststoff, Papier, Pappe sowie Metall u.dgl. bestehen.

Claims (4)

  1. Endenschutz für Bahnmaterialrollen, insbesondere für auf einen Hohlkern aufgewickelte Rollen aus Web-, Vlies- oder Folienmaterial, in Form eines auf das Rollenende aufschiebbaren Napfs, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Napf (1) einen gegenüber dem Bodenrand (2) in Richtung seines offenen Endes eingezogenen Boden (3) aufweist und vorzugsweise aus einer Kunststoffbahn warmgezogen ist.
  2. Endenschutz nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Napf (1) eine zum Napfboden (3) konisch zulaufende Seitenwand (5) aufweist.
  3. Endenschutz nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Boden des Napfs eine - insbesonders kegelstumpfförmige - Vertiefung (8) zum Eingriff in den Zentralteil der Bahnrolle (11) aufweist.
  4. Endenschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Napf (1) eine zentrale Öffnung für über die Rollenränder vorstehende Kernenden aufweist.
