Abstract

L'invention concerne une toile multicouche (10, 11) destinée à la région humide d'une machine à papier, ainsi qu'un papier de soie fabriqué avec cette toile, laquelle est constituée de fils, de préférence de fils tissés en au moins deux nappes, qui sont reliés entre eux par des fils supplémentaires (14) entrelacés avec les nappes. Ces fils supplémentaires (14) forment, conjointement avec les fils constituant les nappes, des rétrécissements (16) répartis sur la largeur et la longueur de la toile et par lesquels peut s'écouler nettement moins d'eau que par les régions voisines. Disposés dans une séquence particulière, ces fils supplémentaires servent, au niveau des rétrécissements, de moyen pour influer sur l'égouttage à travers la toile en vue de fabriquer du papier de soie présentant des zones alternées de grammage élevé et de grammage faible. On obtient ainsi d'une manière particulièrement simple un papier de soie possédant une structure souple, mince, non homogène et réticulaire.
