Definitions
- the invention relates generally to a walking aid, a walking stick or a Crutch from a compliant stubble to a rigid one - often as an ice thorn designated - end-tip switchable stick-end as in claim 1 is defined.
- a walking aid a walking stick or a Crutch from a compliant stubble to a rigid one - often as an ice thorn designated - end-tip switchable stick-end as in claim 1 is defined.
- it concerns those trained in this way Poles for various purposes and also with one Handle upper part connectable stick support or lower parts, further stick-like or crutch-like Walking aids and supports for the sick and disabled, or those on the floor support or lower parts to be attached.
- Such bi- or multifunctional crutches or their support or lower parts have in any case, a cavity extending towards the tip of the stick, are thus total or at least to a large extent hollow and preferably approximately tubular, the retraction and extension mechanism for the pole tip housed in the cavity is.
- crutches it is essential with these crutches that they securely support a person, especially a frail or movement or mobility impaired person all occurring soil types and conditions, in the same way on one textile carpeting like on icy paths, sidewalks or steps in winter, due to the switchability of an end stubble lying flat on the ground on a "sharp" stick end tip, whether this is a real tapered or pyramidal tip, as a cutting star or with an all-round, crater rim-like Cutting edge and central recess is formed.
- the input and Extension mechanism prevents bending or against breakage even when over the walking support load that occurs when used correctly and under normal conditions load, e.g. when the stick end gets stuck in one Grating, in a crack in the floor or between stones.
- AT-393 216 B is an extendable crutch with a rubber stopper on known lower end of a tubular support leg, which one through the Has rubber plug extendable and retractable Eisdorn, which at the bottom of a Support leg slidably mounted rod is arranged.
- a slidably mounted piston In the upper part of the tubular support leg is a slidably mounted piston, the one Axial bore in which the rod with the ice dome can be moved, as well as a Has threaded bore into which an adjusting screw for locking the rod engages with the piston, which passes through a longitudinal slot in the outer tube protrudes outside.
- a locking device in which the above mentioned, slidably mounted piston an upper and lower recess for Engagement of a spring-loaded spring from the outside of the stick radially inwards Has locking pin.
- a crutch in which in the area a stick tip mechanism connected to the distal end of the stick is arranged, which is an entry and exit and locking device for one - one Recess of a stick end stubble penetrating - stick end tip includes, by means of which the pole end tip in a mountain position hidden in the pole end stubble and can be moved into a rage position that projects beyond the pole end stubble and can be fixed in position is and furthermore the stick end tip releasably with one in the end sleeve axially and rotating and sliding, acted upon by spring force in the direction of the stick handle Stick tip guide piece is connected, and the locking device one Guide piece protruding radially outwards and in an approximately bayonet-type elongated guide recess of the end sleeve of the stick with an axially parallel longitudinal section, and at least a transverse section adjoining it on the distal side projecting guide pin.
- a major disadvantage of the solution, which appears to be conceptually acceptable according to the aforementioned US-A is that for a mechanically stable position and locking the extended stick tip in its rage position Precaution has been taken, which is particularly important when e.g. the Smooth, icy, soft-slippery surface or the like. is. Is it e.g. during support on the stick to an inevitable relative rotation between the stick tube and e.g. from a sticky sticky surface and their stick carrying guide piece, the same radially detaching guide and Support pin without any hindrance by means of a locking element along the horizontal section of the L- or wrong-L-shaped guide recess, as long as until it reaches its vertical, axially parallel section. The tip of the stick or that Guide piece then slides - under the force of the spring - towards Stick back into the inside of the stick and stands for anchoring the stick in the ground and therefore no longer available for the safe support of a person.
- a crutch has become known with a distal arranged end stubble made of resilient material and one in a cavity of the a walking support having a walking support hollow part slidably retractable and extendable Stick tip unit is made of rigid material, which is a hollow part in the crutches axially longitudinally slidable and rotatable, an interchangeable or permanently attached stick tip guide piece with material-integral stick end tip includes.
- This stick tip guide piece has at least one the same radially protruding, load bearing capacity guide projection, which in an essentially L-shaped and / or mirror-image L-shaped, with Long axis parallel to the stock axis and longer L-crossbar trained guide recess of the wall of the cavity between two end positions, namely between an extend position and a retract position is slidable.
- a movable unit that can ultimately be defined in one of two end positions the wall from a stick tip guide piece with a stick end tip of a hollow stick or the hollow part of a stick fully penetrating, and thus provided the mechanical strength of the wall weakening "L-opening", which from a guide protrusion projecting radially from the pole tip guide piece, e.g. -Pen, is penetrated.
- the guide projection or pin is in the guide piece anchors and penetrates the L-opening in the wall of the stick, so that the free End of the lead, however it is designed in detail, protrudes outwards through the L-opening, i.e. protrudes beyond the outside of the stick.
- the shaft there which represents a stick tip guide piece, through a locking screw formed guide pin the wall of the hollow middle part of the Stockes through the L-recess and the free end of this locking screw is in one of the hollow middle part of the stick that surrounds the entire circumference, on mentioned middle part outside longitudinally slidable and slidable, hollow cylindrical, elongated reinforcement sleeve anchored and finally ends with a screw head.
- the there reinforcement sleeve is on the outside of the stick, surrounding the same, loosely rotating and slidably arranged.
- Such an external, loosely rotatable sleeve can be added to the for a crutch extremely important mechanical strength of the local one, through the L-opening in the wall mechanically weakened hollow middle part of the stick make practically no contribution: Because, for the manipulation of the tip of the stick provided longitudinal and rotary sliding of the reinforcement sleeve provided there enable, it is essential that there is a corresponding gap between the outside of the hollow floor part and the inside of the outside reinforcing sleeve his. In the known solution according to this DE-U is also the disadvantage given that by arranging the reinforcing sleeve on the outside, the A crutch with a thickening that is considerably disturbing in its appearance.
- CH 6032 A which is one Stick with retractable and extendable tip is concerned, with an extremely robust handle and thick-walled cane rod anchored pin protrudes radially inwards and in an L-shaped guide recess of a thin-walled guide sleeve with the the sliding tip shaft, which carries the end tip and is connected to the handle knob protrudes and is adjustable there in a retracted or extended position.
- Disadvantage of this known type is the massive embodiment of both the cane and the Stick tip shaft, which becomes a high, practically a stick made of solid material appropriate weight leads. This massive construction is in stark contradiction to the thin-walled guide sleeve of the handle, which any stronger support load in Unable to withstand use.
- the present invention has set itself the task at a comparatively low Manufacturing effort to create a walking support as defined in the beginning, which is through ease of use, overall low weight, low maintenance, high strength and high security and stability of the construction in the two End positions of the end tip.
- the invention thus relates to a stick, hunting stick, mountain stick, tourist stick, Sick or disabled support or cane, crutch or crutch support part, such as is defined in claim 1.
- the backdrop-like guide recess in one Vertical load, but also any transverse forces that occur, the Tube of the crutch is arranged from the inside reinforcing guide sleeve so that the material weakening otherwise caused by said recess in the Pipe wall due to the presence of these inside the hollow crutch part adjacent or possibly even materially connected guide sleeve doesn't matter anymore.
- the bayonet-type lock is favorable for the safety of use of the new crutch Embodiment of the guide recess corresponding to an "L" in its basic form, depending on the "handedness" of the user, the L-crossbar to the right or can be directed to the left, thereby increasing the mechanical stability that the support-load-bearing capable of the guide recess Guide sleeve in through no other recess located in the area weakened tube of the crutch and that the tube of the Stockes or floor lower part with adjustable sticks with the guide sleeve over a large force absorption area is connected.
- a major advantage of a guide recess for the pole tip guide piece and a further manipulation guide recess arranged at a distance from it is that their mutual positioning on the stick or axially aligned or not aligned on the crutch, so it can be arbitrary and therefore on mechanical requirements on the one hand and ease of manipulation on the other easy to be considerate.
- the separate manipulation mechanism provided in accordance with the present invention for the pole tip guide piece has the advantage that the pole tip guide piece ensures the absorption of the forces when leaning on the stick while the manipulation mechanism is exposed to practically no stress.
- Manipulation elements for the stick tip mechanism in the vicinity of the handle or the The grip and armrest part of a crutch, a stick, or a crutch is one particularly easy to use.
- the mechanical system is particularly resilient if - as in claim 2 alternatively provided - a doubling of the guide projection or pin and Guide recess is provided, resulting in a more even distribution of the vertical load on the hollow part of the crutch.
- the support load-bearing guide pin forms a second manipulation element for the cane tip guide mechanism by being equipped with a manipulation element, such as a knurled wheel.
- a particularly good securing of the position of the pole tip can be achieved with a manipulation element which enables a clamping position to be fixed, as provided for in claim 5 .
- Such a clamping position fixation is also provided according to claim 4 previously discussed.
- an auxiliary guide sleeve arranged there with a recess congruent to the manipulation guide recess can be provided to compensate for the weakening of the material of the hollow hollow part of the crutch or of its wall through the manipulation guide recess, as disclosed in claim 6 .
- the actuation mechanism of the new one is pleasant to use and runs smoothly Walking crutches can be designed if - as per a preferred feature of the Claim 7 provided - a sliding-friendly plastic coating of the same, for. B. with Teflon, is available, or the same parts that are subject to sliding displacement even from a mechanically highly stressable, sliding-friendly plastic, such as e.g. Nylon, ABS polymers, or from a, preferably lubricant-soaked, high-strength pore or sintered light metal are manufactured.
- a mechanically highly stressable, sliding-friendly plastic such as e.g. Nylon, ABS polymers, or from a, preferably lubricant-soaked, high-strength pore or sintered light metal are manufactured.
- the new walking support in this embodiment can be operated both right-handed and left-handed without problems is.
- the wrong T-shape corresponds to the capital letter "L", which has an L-crossbar on its longitudinal beam, mirror-symmetrical to the right and to the left.
- An additional increase in the security of the position fixing of the pole tip can be achieved with terminal snap-in recesses at the ends of the crossbar of the inverted T-shaped guide recess.
- a division of the support, crutch or the like according to the invention into a handle and arm part and a load bearing or support part according to claim 12 is advantageous.
- Particularly tubular, both in terms of availability and strength, is a tubular-cylindrical design of the hollow crutch part.
- the claim 12 also calls preferred materials for the new crutch or its support part.
- telescopic sticks are widely used not only as and rehabilitation sticks, but especially for tourism in the broadest Senses, in particular to relieve the support and walking apparatus, the joints of the Legs, preferably the knee joints, insert, with the lower end of the stick completely individually to these currently existing soil conditions, e.g. Glacier ice, rock and e.g. the floors of an accommodation are adjustable.
- the stick end tips can be integral with the guide piece be trained, they can be soldered, glued, poured into the same, be pinched, shrunk, pressed or screwed in. You can do any any, tailored to a specific or general purpose, geometric shape, from a simple conical shape to a concave shape Shape with a crater-like, peripheral ring edge, rich. Is particularly preferred a crown shape, roughly in the manner of the contour of drill bits.
- the material of the end tips is preferably either hardened steel or sintered hard metal material, e.g. the "Widia" material.
- the end stubble of the new crutch which can be made of any suitable or customary material or its design, it is equipped with a load-receiving and distributing annular disc for supporting load distribution and force transmission Claim 13 particularly preferred.
- This so-called ring letter can be used to achieve an improved load or Force distribution or introduction into the end stubble has its own extension exhibit.
- FIG. 1 very generally shows one with a lower support or Attachment part 55 and one with the same by a not shown Connecting member 556 connected, upper arm support and grip part 56 formed Crutch stick 5, at least the support and attachment part 55 being a tubular hollow part 500 is trained.
