Definitions

  • the invention relates to a Sporenbügel according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for producing a Sporenbügels.
  • Such a Sporenbügel is known from GB 17 481 A.
  • This known Sporenbügel is made as follows: To produce a spur strap two blanks are cut from a rod-shaped profile material with D-profile. These blanks are now bent. Each blank is given the shape of a half U with it integrally attached, half Sporenarm. A finished bent blank is shown in Figure 1 of GB 17481A. Then, the two bent blanks are joined, they are connected between the two half spore arms and it is arranged between them an axis and a spur wheel.
  • the temple parts of Sporenbügeln are alternatively also made in one piece by casting, usually then equal to the spores is made in one piece during casting.
  • Cast iron or Sporenbügel have an attractive, rounded outer surface, which not only signals a high quality, but also visually gives a good picture.
  • Cast spur bars usually have an irregular cross-section, they are thicker in the middle region of the legs than at the top or bottom of the legs. This material thickness leads to a noticeable strength and rigidity of the U-shaped bracket part. Now, however, cast spur bars are relatively expensive to produce, requiring a relatively large amount of device-related effort both in terms of equipment and craftsmanship.
  • Sporenbügel are also known, which are manufactured as follows: First an elongated blank punched out of sheet metal, then bent so that the U-shaped bracket part is formed, finally, the spore is attached to the outside of the base of the bracket part.
  • Sporenbügel have a flat cross-section of their legs. This has a visual effect, due to the flat legs of their temple parts they are clearly distinguishable from cast spurs. Its outer surface is smooth and even. They are not as resistant to bending as cast spur bars.
  • a blank made of sheet metal is still created, which is relatively elongated. At its two free ends it has attachment means for the spur stirrup, for example, strap eyelets. In the area of the belt eyelets and thus in the region of the free ends, the blank preferably has widenings or expansion areas in order to make room for the strap eyelets.
  • each leg can now extend in one piece starting from the extension region at a free end to the extension region at the other free end.
  • each leg it is also preferable for each leg to have its own bead, which ends in the region of the base, so that the base is unembossed, that is, it retains its rectangular cross-section. This has the advantage that the outer surface of the base remains straight, so that there spores can be better recognized.
  • the expansion areas in which the strap eyelets are not marked are not marked.
  • edges which are normally sharp when cutting are advantageously rounded. This saves additional processing steps to smooth the edges. Nevertheless, it is not excluded, the edges also edit elsewhere, for example, by grinding and polishing.
  • the shape of the curvature on the outer surface of at least the legs is arbitrary.
  • the curvature can also be formed differently at different locations of the legs.
  • the curvature is carried out in such a way that the best possible overall aesthetic appearance is achieved. In general, therefore, the curvature is as smooth and fluid as possible, but this does not rule out that special local features are pronounced, such as projections, stars, etc., especially for riders who appreciate such salient features, such as Western riders.
  • the blank for the temple part has the shape that largely determines the later appearance of the spine strap.
  • the legs have a relatively small height and increase towards the rear, towards the base, in their height.
  • the blank can also have any shape, such as jagged edges etc ..
  • the Sporenbügel has in a known manner a U-shaped bracket member 20 and a spurs 22.
  • the Sporenbügel may be releasably or permanently connected to the bracket member 20.
  • the bracket member 20 has a relatively short base 24 and two legs 26 extending therefrom on both sides, which are substantially identical in construction.
  • a projection 28 is provided, which protrudes outwards to the spores 22 to be fastened.
  • the bracket 20 is made of a blank, which is partially shown in FIG. It is hinged symmetrically to a line of symmetry 30. Dashed is the area indicated on the later outside of the spurs 22 sits.
  • extension regions 32 which are each formed approximately head-shaped. In them, two mutually parallel or at an angle to each other extending slots 34 are formed as eyelets for a fastening belt.
  • the extension regions 32 belong to the legs 26.
  • each leg 26 has its own bead 36. This begins behind the flared area 32 and ends in front of the base 24.
  • the base 24 is thus unembossed, see FIG. 2, so that the spore 22 can simply be fastened to it.
  • the blank as shown in Figure 1, is made of a stainless steel sheet of 2.5 mm thickness by punching.
  • the slots 34 are formed with.
  • this blank is then embossed by embossing a bead 36 in each of the two legs 26, this state of the blank being shown in FIG. Subsequently, the now embossed blank is bent into the U-shape so that the U-shaped state according to FIG. 2 is present.
  • FIGS. 3 to 5 show different cross-sectional shapes of the legs 26 in the region of the section line III-III. These different cross-sectional shapes should demonstrate that one has on the concrete configuration of the bead 36 relatively much influence, so you can specify significantly different shapes, such as a comparison of Figures 3 and 5 shows.
  • a bead is local deeply impressed, while in the embodiment of Figure 4, the bead extends over virtually the entire height of the profile.
  • the bead does not extend in height over the entire height of the leg 26, so there is a training, which is to be settled between those of Figures 4 and 5.
  • the curvature 38 on the outer surface of the legs 26 can clearly be seen from the three cross sections shown.
  • Figure 4 shows that the edges are rounded so that no edges protrude. This can also be formed in the other cross-sectional shapes.
  • FIG. 6 shows an embodiment in which the embossing is drawn through along the center line of the blank into the region between the two oblong holes.
  • the finished spur bar is electropolished.
  • the embossing is done in the usual way with a male and a female.
  • Other methods to form the bead 36 are not excluded, for example, the bead may also be rolled, pressed in, etc.
  • Figure 7 shows a cross-sectional shape in a section corresponding to III-III in Figure 2, but now with wave-shaped profile.
  • Other profile shapes e.g. W-shaped, S-shaped, C-shaped, U-shaped are possible.
  • the profile shapes according to FIGS. 3 to 5 can also be realized mirror-inverted. Then, the bead 36 is on the outside and the bulge 38 on the inside of the leg 26th
