Definitions
- the invention relates to a diamond dressing wheel from a rotationally symmetrical body that on its peripheral surface and / or its one end face is covered with randomly shaped diamond grains, and recesses are formed in its peripheral edge in which elongated diamonds are inserted and fastened are.
- Dressing wheels are made with diamond grains on their circumference occupied, directly on the peripheral surface and / or on the front, adjacent to the peripheral surface Ring surfaces.
- the diamond grains are included the rotationally symmetrical body connecting metal stored and in this way on the surface of the rotationally symmetrical Body attached. This attachment is preferably done by galvanic or chemical Instruct. Covered with diamond grains.
- Dressing wheels primarily serve to shape the surfaces grinding tools worn during operation, this shaping by a grinding process can be carried out in which the touching Surfaces of the grinding tool to be dressed and the dressing wheel at a different speed rotate.
- Such dressing discs are not only used because of the Diamond material, but also because of the high accuracy to be carried out in relative manufacturing small quantities expensive. Therefore, if possible long service life sought. But these are through the Abrasion of the surfaces of the diamond grains and falling out the diamond grains from their through the metallic Order frames made on the rotating body limited. This falling out is one hand due to the grain shape of the diamonds, their change in shape due to the abrasion and the lower hardness of the embedding Metal below that created in the grinding operation Due to heat. This wear occurs first and primarily on the edge areas of the dressing wheel on because the diamond grains on these only find little hold.
- the geometric by two with their largest diameter together adjacent truncated cones is formed and its Circumferential surface thereby a middle in the peripheral surface has lying edge, are on both sides of this Edge recesses formed in the dressing tool, which lie in radial planes, diagonally to the axis of the dressing tool run and inserted into the diamond needles and are attached.
- This dressing tool has two serious disadvantages: the area of application of this Dressing tool is on a specific grinding wheel Geometry limits uni over the course of its service life this dressing tool becomes effective Grinding surface due to wear of the grinding diamond needle face and the associated shortening the diamond needle getting wider.
- the invention avoids the disadvantages of the prior art Technology. It is the object of the invention with simple Average wear on the edge area of the dressing wheel lower and thereby a significant To increase the service life of dressing discs.
- the invention is that the recesses in which inlaid and fastened the elongated diamonds are grooves in an end face of the dressing wheel that are approximately radial and that extend up to extend the peripheral edge.
- These elongated diamonds are essentially radial arranged and protrude with their end into the peripheral surface. They reduce wear on the dressing wheel entirely considerable, because they sit in their metallic frame made of galvanically or chemically deposited metal due to its elongated shape, it is considerably firmer than the diamond grains and this metallic setting lies outside the contact area of the tool to be dressed and dressing wheel and is therefore much better and cooled more intensely than metal at the point of contact itself. It is understandable that these elongated diamonds hence the most likely to wear edge areas the dressing wheel very effectively Protect wear.
- This dressing disc is manufactured in the kind that in the end face in the edge area of the dressing wheel Recesses approximated in the form of grooves be introduced radially that elongated in these grooves Diamonds are inlaid and that these with a deposited metal attached to the dressing wheel become.
- the elongated diamonds are initially included a tiny amount of glue on the dressing wheel pinned and then attached by metal application. In this way, the elongated diamonds are obtained a very exact and a very tight fit or in the dressing wheel.
- the diamond dressing disc is advantageous if the elongated Diamonds perpendicular or under a point Angle to the axis of rotation of the dressing disc are.
- the dressing wheel 1 consists of a rotationally symmetrical Metal body, the center of a hole 2 for has a wave.
- the dressing disk 1 On circumference 3 and on both the end edge regions 4, 5 is the dressing disk 1 each with an annular layer of diamond bodies busy.
- the dressing disk is in the annular edge region 4 1 provided with grooves in which elongated Diamonds 6 are inlaid. These extend through to the edge of the dressing wheel 1.
