Definitions
- the invention relates to a static mixer for mixing a plurality of, in particular pasty material components, having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- a static mixer is known from DE 2 262 016.
- the static mixer is particularly intended for mixing a hardener and a binder of a synthetic resin mortar. In principle, more than two material components can also be mixed.
- the material components are, for example, from a cartridge off and pressed through the static mixer.
- Such static mixers are known per se. They have a tube as a housing, which forms a passageway. In the tube or passage channel helical mixing elements are arranged one behind the other.
- the mixing elements can also be understood as axial sections of a single, continuous mixing element.
- the passages may be recesses or breakouts of the mixing elements.
- the passages are achieved by an angular offset of mutually facing end and initial edges of successive mixing elements and / or by an axial distance of successive mixing elements.
- the invention has for its object to further develop a static mixer of the type described above so that a compressive force is reduced and mixing is improved.
- the static mixer according to the invention with the features of claim 1 has Mixing elements with gradients of different sizes.
- the different sized slopes cause different flow velocities through the static mixer of pressed material components, whereby mixing is improved.
- a homogeneous mixing of material components with different viscosities can be achieved.
- mixing elements with larger and smaller pitch alternate.
- a further improvement of the mixing of the material components is achieved in that mixing elements are provided with different pitch direction (right or left hand), which give the material components pressed through the static mixer a right or left twist.
- the mixing elements arranged one behind the other alternately have a different pitch direction.
- An embodiment of the invention provides that mutually facing starting and ending edges of mixing elements arranged one behind the other are angularly offset from one another. A reduction of the pressing force of the material components by the static mixer and a good mixing is achieved by optimizing the geometric relationships of the mixing elements.
- An embodiment of the invention provides that mixing elements with a small increase in the longitudinal direction of the static mixer are shorter than mixing elements with a large gradient. The small pitch mixing elements impart greater swirl to the extruded material components than the high pitch mixing elements. This makes it possible to achieve a reduction in the press-through force.
- mixing elements with a small pitch have a length which corresponds approximately to 0.5 times a transverse or diameter of the passage of the static mixer.
- the mixing elements with a large pitch have a length which corresponds approximately to 0.9 to 1.0 times the transverse or diameter of the passage channel of the static mixer.
- a mixing element has a twist angle of approximately 180 °.
- twist angle is meant the angle by which a mixing element is twisted around itself in its longitudinal direction. At a twist angle of 180 ° are the beginning and end edge of the mixing element parallel to each other.
- the mixing elements with small and large pitch can have the same angle of rotation.
- FIGURE shows a static mixer according to the invention.
- the static mixer 10 has an injection cannula 12, which forms a tubular housing of the static mixer 10.
- An interior of the injection cannula 12 forms a passage channel 14 for pressing through to be mixed material components.
- the injection cannula 12 has an internal thread 15 for screwing onto a cartridge, not shown, or the like.
- Container from which the material components to be mixed can be pressed out and can be pressed through the injection cannula 12.
- the injection cannula 12 may be conical.
- mixing elements 16 with a small pitch and mixing elements 18 with a large pitch alternate each other.
- the direction of the slope of the mixing elements 16 with a small pitch is opposite to the direction of the slope of the mixing elements 18 with a large pitch, it is the mixing elements 16 with small pitch to the right and the mixing elements 18 with large pitch left-handed or vice versa.
- An axial length of the mixing elements 16 with a small pitch is shorter than an axial length of the mixing elements 18 with a large pitch.
- the axial length of the small pitch mixing elements 16 is approximately 0.5 times a diameter of the passageway 14, and the axial length of the high pitch mixing elements 18 is approximately 0.9 to 1.0 pitch.
- Both the mixing elements 16 with small pitch and the mixing elements 18 with high pitch have a twist angle over its axial length of approximately 180 °, so it is the one the end of the injection cannula 12 or the inner thread 15 facing the starting edge 20 approximately parallel to a front end of the injection cannula 12 facing end edge 22 of each mixing element 16, 18.
- mutually facing end and beginning edges 20, 22 successive mixing elements 16, 18 are in aligned at right angles to each other, so they have an angular offset of about 90 °.
- the mixing elements 16, 18 are integrally with each other, for example. Made by spreader casting of plastic.
- the cartridge contains two separate components, for example a binder and a hardener of a 2-component synthetic resin mortar.
- the two components are pasty and can have different viscosities.
- the two components are pressed out of the cartridge together and in a predetermined volume ratio to each other. It is also possible for more than two material components to be pressed through the static mixer 10 according to the invention and thereby mixed with one another.
- the material components are divided at the initial edges 20 of the mixing elements 16, 18 in two strands of material and merged at the passages 24 between the end and Conversesrändem 22 successively mixing elements 16, 18 again. Since the mixing elements 16, 18 are alternately right- and left-handed, a twist imposed on the pressed-through material strands by the screw shape of the mixing elements 16, 18 at the transition from a mixing element 16, 18 to the subsequent mixing element 18, 16, ie in the region of the passages 24 between the mixing elements 16, 18, vice versa. The previously split strands of material are brought together during the merging and thereby mixed together.
- the flow rate of the material strands and the material components when pressed by the static mixer 10 according to the invention changes.
- the flow rate increases and decreases alternately repeatedly over the length of the static mixer 10. This causes a thorough mixing of the material components.
