Definitions
- the invention relates to the use of a loose landfill as an all-weather wearing course for riding areas according to claim 1 and a riding-field layer structure.
- riding arenas are designed according to the following principle: on an adequately firm, non-slip surface such as asphalt or gravel, an intermediate layer is applied, while on this in turn the actual riding-ground covering, the so-called wear layer is piled up.
- an intermediate layer is applied, while on this in turn the actual riding-ground covering, the so-called wear layer is piled up.
- sawdust, sawdust, sand or even mixtures of these and synthetic materials are used.
- none of these combinations can fully meet the above-mentioned requirements.
- Tread layers consisting of the materials sand or sawdust or sawdust tend to abrasion due to the stresses of riding to a considerable extent.
- This abrasion of fine microscopic particles is whirled up especially in dry and hot weather and can affect the well-being of both animals and humans and - especially in connection with the dried-up and dusty components of horse excrement that have whirled up - lead to damage to the respiratory tract.
- the particulate matter is flushed into the wear layer, closing the inner porous structure needed for moisture transport, which collects and accumulates moisture. As a result, puddles form and the riding arena becomes unusable due to sludge formation.
- the solution according to DE-OS 22 08 538 discloses a wear layer of leather waste.
- leather is principally a rotting material, i. it is attacked by the excrement of the horse. A wear layer of this material is thus maintenance and care intensive and associated with corresponding costs and labor.
- leather is slippery and slippery, especially in the wet, i. The horse hoof does not find a sufficiently secure grip, the riding arena is no longer handy enough to use it safely.
- a footing for riding courses which consists of sand and admixed to loosening Schnitzelmaterial.
- the chip material comprises a shredded textile composite.
- a surface for a playing field which has a multi-layered structure.
- the multilayer construction comprises a mesh of a polymeric material as the surface layer followed by a woven fabric. Below the fabric is then a layer comprising elastic parts, which may for example consist of carpet waste. Below this layer of elastic parts is then a base material, which forms a drainage for dissipating moisture.
- the sequence of layers is framed laterally, whereby the superficially located polymer lattice prevents slippage of the underlying layers.
- the wear layer consists of a loose pile of irregularly shaped chips of carpet tissue waste which are applied to a substrate in an appropriate thickness of substantially 10 to 30 cm.
- the surface is sufficiently grippy and rough designed to give the landfill the appropriate support.
- a further layer between the substrate and the wear layer can be dispensed with.
- the fibers of the carpet fabric are not hygroscopic, sufficiently tear-resistant and thus resistant to abrasion. For this reason, the moisture-dissipating properties of the landfill are retained even with rubbing and impact stress caused by hoof impact. Also, an adverse dust development is avoided as in conventional sand or sawdust.
- the edges of the carpet chips are created by a tearing or shredding process. This gives the carpet chips the property of matting together with continued use with each other. It arises, without the need for a deep rolling or other additional compression process of the landfill, solely by the continuous use and stress of the place a homogeneous flat surface. Due to the flat shape of the carpet chips in combination with the desired tendency to matting, they can be difficult to move through the horse's hoof. Cooling and bumps are thus difficult to form.
- a loose pile of carpet chips 1 is applied on a flat, solid and sufficiently rough surface 2 .
- layer thicknesses in the range of 10 to 30 cm have proven to be expedient. Depending on the nature of the given pad 2, however, the thickness can be varied freely.
- An intermediate layer is not necessarily provided, it can be omitted in general and is therefore not shown in Fig. 1.
- a single piece of woodchip consists of the carpet fibers 3 and a plastic layer 4 connecting them. At the edge 5 of the carpet chip, the carpet fibers 3 are frayed by a tearing or shredding process and consequently stand off the edge 5.
- the carpet chips 6 are polygonal in the application example and have dimensions of 1 to 10 centimeters in length or width. In the loose bed, they are disordered in the lateral direction, but they are arranged vertically and generally overlapping one another with their surfaces in general, so that the image of a disordered mosaic of carpet pieces results in the top view (FIG. 6). Due to the continued stress of this landfill, the carpet chips 6 mate with each other, this being favored substantially by the crack structure of the edges 5.
- the raw material shown in Fig. 4 is from stamping waste produced in the manufacture of textile trim parts in the automotive industry supply industry. It consists of the actual carpet pile 7, the structure of which has already been explained in Fig. 1, and with this associated base or support layer of foam 8, which does not apply to the riding-ground covering.
- the punching waste 13, consisting of the carpet pile 7 and the foam layer 8 are guided by an S-shaped roller assembly 9 to the peeling device, which consists of the high-pressure nozzles 10 and 11, from which emerges a high pressure water jet, the foam layer 8 from the carpet pile. 7 peels off, the carpet pile 7 remains largely intact.
- the position of the individual layers 7 and 8 with respect to the vertical direction is generally random. In order to ensure a clean separation of the layers 7 and 8 from each other, their respective position to the peeling nozzles 10, 11 must be detected automatically. In the embodiment shown here, the detection of the position takes place by optical means. Since the foam layer 8 is generally different in color from the carpet pile 7, the intensity of the backscattered intensity of a measuring beam can be used as a measure of which the respective layers 7 and 8 are located at the top or bottom with respect to the peeling nozzles 10 and 11.
- the corresponding upper or lower high-pressure nozzle 10 or 11 is put into operation and peels off the foam layer 8 from the carpet pile 7 by means of a jet of water.
- the carpet pile 7 is then shredded into carpet chips 6.
