Definitions

  • the invention relates to a harness for racing cars according to the features in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Harness straps are personal restraint systems which, especially when used in racing cars, have a split lap belt, two shoulder straps and two crotch straps that can be joined directly or indirectly to a central belt buckle (List of offers by Schroth Safety Products GmbH, Im Ohl 14, 50714 Arnsberg “Weight and Price Comparison for Open Wheel Racing Harnesses ").
  • the crotch straps can be fastened to a T-shaped fitting (Profi III-6 and Profi II-6), with a fitting tongue in a corresponding fitting Insertion of the belt buckle is inserted from below.
  • the distance between the fastenings of the crotch straps on the T-shaped fitting is intended that the crotch straps should rest laterally on the legs of a driver and thereby the risk of genital injury is avoided.
  • T-shaped fittings can bend in an accident so U-shaped upwards that the opening lever of the buckle, which must show according to the regulations of the racing organization FIA down, in his freedom of movement is considerably restricted and the belt buckle can not be opened.
  • T-shaped fitting can hinder unhindered sliding through designated openings on seats, which are designed as so-called "extrication seats".
  • the drivers remain fixed to them after an accident, so that they can be stabilized together with the seats and thus lifted out of the race cars in a manner that spares the vertebrae.
  • the state of the art also includes an embodiment of a harness belt with split lap belt, shoulder straps and crotch straps (Profi III-6F and Profi II-6F) in which the crotch straps over the thighs of a driver are respectively attached to the partial lengths of the lap belt by the belt tongues D-shaped rings and from these rings obliquely upwards past the belt buckle are guided in the area of the belt tongues of the shoulder straps.
  • the crotch straps point to their closure close Ends loops through which the belt tongues of the shoulder straps can be inserted and then snapped into the buckle.
  • the belt arrangement has two partial lengths of a lap belt, which can be joined together by means of belt tongues with the belt buckle and also separated therefrom.
  • the belt tongues facing away from the ends of the partial lengths are inserted over other belt tongues through vertical slots of attached to the pilot seat brackets.
  • On the back of these consoles bolts are guided through holes in the belt tongues, so that the belt tongues are fixed to the consoles.
  • the bolts can be manually or automatically disconnected from the belt tongues when the pilot's seat is catapulted with the pilot out of the aircraft.
  • Loops are pushed over the belt tongues, which form end components of partial lengths of an overall Y-shaped crotch strap.
  • the deflected over the brackets part lengths are passed between the buttocks of the pilot and the top of the pilot seat to a parallel to the front of the pilot seat in a recess extending round guide element from which only a shaft portion between the legs of the pilot obliquely backwards to the buckle extends.
  • the recess is also a hand lever for triggering the Schleudermechanismusses.
  • the shaft part can be coupled directly to the belt fastener via a belt tongue.
  • two loops in a V-shaped configuration are provided at the end of the shaft part located just before the belt buckle, which loops are pushed over the ends of the partial lengths of the lap belt. Thereafter, the belt tongues can be coupled with the belt buckle.
  • the structure of the known belt arrangement is therefore adapted to the requirements of a pilot who is to be kept properly on the one hand in all aircraft situations and movements on the pilot's seat, on the other hand, however can easily disconnect from the pilot's seat when he leaves the aircraft normally or when he must be in an emergency in the air after dropping the pilot's seat off the plane from the pilot's seat.
  • the bolts are manually or automatically separated from the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt, so that the abutment for the partial lengths of the lap belt and the partial lengths of the crotch omitted and the pilot easily from the Pilot seat can separate.
  • the invention is - based on the prior art - the task of creating a harness for racing cars, in which the described disadvantages of the known embodiments can be avoided.
  • the crotch straps are now held directly by the partial lengths of the lap belt.
  • the portions of the lap straps adjacent ends of the crotch straps are provided with loops which are pushed over the belt tongues at the partial lengths before the insertion of the belt tongues. Subsequently, the belt tongues of the partial lengths can be inserted into the corresponding receptacles in the belt buckle and latched there.
  • An advantage of this arrangement is that the belt tongues of the shoulder straps do not need to be lengthened and, consequently, cause no more inconvenience to a driver of a formula vehicle. Also, the direct flow of force from the shoulder straps on the belt buckle and the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt is ensured in the crotch straps. The driver can be properly fixed to his seat, so that even in the event of an accident inadmissible acceleration of the head and chest can not occur. Furthermore, the crotch straps can be properly guided along the thighs, so that the risk of genital injuries can be excluded. An impairment of the function of the belt buckle, especially after an accident, is excluded in principle.
  • the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt can be inserted fixed in position in the belt fastener. This avoids that the belt tongues in the circumferential direction, that is parallel to the body surface, can rotate relative to the belt buckle. This measure of the position fixation of the belt tongues allows the direct transmission of power from the shoulder straps into the crotch straps.
  • the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt have a triangular shape Configuration on and the recordings in the belt buckle are adapted to this configuration. Since leverage results from the offset of the introduction of force through the shoulder straps and the force transmission through the crotch straps during an accident, the belt buckle is designed together with the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt so that the recordings in the belt buckle can absorb the lever forces occurring properly.
  • the position of the loops of the crotch straps on the belt tongues of the partial lengths of the lap belt is ensured by the fact that the belt tongues between the free detent ends, which are inserted into the belt buckle, and the fastenings of the partial lengths are stepped. An inadmissible slipping of the loops in the direction of the belt closure is thereby avoided.
  • crotch straps are at least one of the thorax extending through the bar tangential following below the driver or possibly further back to fix.
  • the crotch straps according to the invention are designed so that, starting from an imaginary center line, which runs vertically through the closure, the loops are connected at an angle of ⁇ 180 ° with the crotch straps.
  • the crotch straps lie flat on the thighs.
  • these should not be attached to a transversely mounted to the direction anchorage, but at a distance to be defined on two individual, longitudinally aligned to the vehicle anchors. As a result, the flat crotch is further supported.
  • the pelvic tongue tongues according to the invention are therefore designed in their partial lengths so that the loops slipping away from the closure catch themselves on the tongues, even if all the belt parts are under a bias.
  • FIG. 1 denotes a harness belt in FIG. 1, which is intended for a driver of a racing vehicle (formula vehicle).
  • This harness belt 1 comprises two shoulder straps 2, a two-part lap belt 3 and two crotch straps 4, of which the shoulder straps 2 and the partial lengths 5 of the lap belt 3 are brought together in a belt closure 7 located centrally in front of the body 6 of the vehicle occupant.
  • the shoulder straps 2 belt tongues 8.
  • the partial lengths 5 of the lap belt 3 have belt tongues 9 with triangularly configured detent ends 10 which can be inserted into the seat belt closure 7 in receptacles 11 adapted to this configuration. Due to this design, a relative movement of the belt tongues 9 of the partial lengths 5 in the circumferential direction according to the double arrow 12 relative to the belt closure 7 is excluded.
  • the belt tongues 9 of the partial lengths 5 are formed in the region 13 between the locking ends 10 and the fasteners 14 of the belt tongues 9 at the partial lengths 5 in the direction of the fasteners 14 down towards leaning. Due to this slimming reduces the risk that end loops 15 of the crotch straps 4 from the belt tongues 9 during the insertion completely or partially slide down.
  • the belt tongues 9 of the partial lengths 5 are in the region of the attachment 14 by extensions 16 designed so that the belt tongues 9 are sewn into the ends 17 of the partial lengths 5 of the lap belt 3 largely tilted and secured against rotation.
  • the belt tongues 9 of the partial lengths 5 are provided in the region of the fastenings 14 with recessed grips 18 in order to facilitate the insertion of the detent ends 10 into the belt fastener 7.
  • the belt tongues 9 are designed to reduce weight with openings 19, wherein the openings 19 in the region of the fasteners 14 are ideally adapted to the profile of the maximum bending forces expected in the fasteners 14.
  • the regions 13 of the belt tongues 9 are therefore overlapped loosely by the loops 15, which are connected at the obtuse angle ⁇ with the ends 20 of the crotch near the ends 4, in particular sewn.
  • the connection area is designated 21.
  • FIG. 1 shows only a partial length 5 of the lap belt 3 with the associated belt tongue 9 and a crotch strap 4 with a loop 15.
  • the second part 5 of the lap belt 3 and the second crotch strap 4 with loop 15 have been shown with the exception of the belt tongue 9 to simplify the drawing only in dash-dotted lines.
