Abstract

Es wird ein Kalander (1) zum Glätten einer Faserstoffbahn (2), insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, bei der die Bahn (2) durch mehrere Nips (6, 7) geführt ist, die jeweils zwischen einer Walzenoberfläche und einer Gegenfläche gebildet sind.
Man möchte die Qualität der Oberfläche der Bahn (2) volumenschonend verbessern.
Hierzu sind die Gegenflächen jeweils durch einen durch einen Anpreßschuh (8, 11) gegen die Walzenoberfläche gepreßten umlaufenden Mantel (4, 5) gebildet und die Walzenoberflächen von mindestens zwei Nips (6, 7) sind auf derselben Walze (3) ausgebildet.
