Abstract

Eine Einrichtung zur Befeuchtung (10) einer bewegten Materialbahn (12), insbesondere Papier- oder Kartonbahn, umfasst eine drehbare, die Materialbahn (12) entlang eines definierten Umschlingungsbereiches führende Walze (14) mit einem wasserdurchlässigen, eine poröse äußere Beschichtung (16) aufweisenden Mantel (18), dessen Innenseite mittels einer Auftragseinrichtung (22) mit Wasser beaufschlagbar ist und über dessen poröse äußere Beschichtung (16) die Materialbahn (12) mit aus dem Walzenmantel (18) austretendem Wasser befeuchtet wird. Eine solche Befeuchtungseinrichtung (10) bzw. Feuchtewalze kann insbesondere anstelle einer herkömmlichen Leitwalze verwendet werden.
