  • the inflatable body is exposed to wear due to the placement and removal of the clothing.
  • the inflatable body is preferably made of a thin material, but this disadvantageously reduces the durability.
  • the garment to be smoothed is preferably pulled over the inflatable body in the moist state and dried under tension there. This in turn means that the inflatable body is also moistened and detergent residues get into the inflatable body with the moisture in washed garments.
  • a removable inflatable body can be washed to remove detergent residues or other impurities, but this places great strain on the inflatable body material.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide an additional device for a device for smoothing clothes with a flexible inflatable body or a device for smoothing clothes with a inflatable body, with which an increased life can be achieved.
  • the inflatable body can be protected by using a coating.
  • the abrasion is reduced because the garment to be smoothed only comes into contact with the cover and only rubs against it when being pulled on and off.
  • the coating acts as a buffer zone that can absorb moisture from the garment to be smoothed together with any impurities and detergent residues that may be present. The coating reduces the stress due to the pressure prevailing inside the inflatable body and thus the mechanical loading of the inflatable body, which means an extension of the lifespan of the inflatable body.
  • the coating must pass on the outward pressure of the inflatable body to the outside and be able to direct the air flowing out of the inflatable body to the garment to be smoothed. All that is required is that the coating is air-permeable and can withstand the surface pressure of the inflatable body. Any breathable fabric can meet these requirements. In contrast, the inflatable body must also be tensile, since it must be able to withstand the inflation pressure even without a piece of clothing being pulled on. Furthermore, the inflatable body must have devices for airtight connection with the devices for inflating. The coating is designed to be considerably simpler, is therefore less expensive and, in particular, can be provided much less expensively than an inflatable body. This makes it possible to design the cover as a consumable that can be replaced with a new one after some time. For example, the cover can be made from a nonwoven fabric.
  • Non-stretchable and / or elastic material can be used as the material for the covering.
  • a covering made of a non-stretchable material it is achieved that the size expansion is limited and clothes can also be smoothed, for which a pressure from the inside would be disadvantageous. These are in particular knitwear or knitwear that would otherwise expand too much. If, on the other hand, the covering is made elastic, a size adjustment can be achieved in a specific area that is dependent on the elasticity.
  • the cover is preferably permeable to air over its entire surface, so that the item of clothing to be smoothed is evenly pressurized with air and dried. that can. If the garment is irregularly thick over its surface, it may be advantageous to provide the cover with an irregular air permeability over its surface.
  • the air permeability of the different areas of the covering can be adapted to areas of different thicknesses or quick-drying areas of a specific type of clothing item to be smoothed. For example, in men's shirts, the shoulders and the area between them on the back are generally double-layered. This makes the shirt more difficult to dry at this point. The same applies to the cuffs.
  • a cover can therefore be designed in such a way that it has greater air permeability at the points where the cuffs or the shoulder areas rest on the surface.
  • the air release can thus be adapted to the different items of clothing with different covers so that they can be dried evenly.
  • faster drying can be achieved under certain circumstances, since by reducing the air throughput at places where the fabric dries faster, the air throughput at other places where the fabric dries more slowly, and thus the drying at these Bodies can be accelerated.
  • the energy consumption can be reduced, since the proportion of air or heat that is unnecessarily emitted in places of clothing that are already dry can be reduced.
  • a shirt-like cover especially for short-sleeved shirts can be designed in such a way that the ends of the sleeves are not permeable to air, since the air emerging from the inflatable body at this point cannot act on a section of a short-sleeved shirt anyway.

If the button strip tensioner 3 is connected at its upper end to increase the stability with a frame arranged inside the inflatable body 1, this connection is advantageously designed to be detachable in order to cover the cover 8 to be able to raise. If the connection cannot be released, the cover 8 can be designed such that it can be opened on one side, so that in the open state it is threaded between the inflatable body 1 and the button strip tensioner 3, placed around the inflatable body 1 and then closed again can.
  • the cover 8 changes the dimensions of the inflatable body 1 little and yet fits tightly and without folds on the inflatable body 1, the cover 8 can be made elastic.
  • An elastic coating 8 can also be used to reduce the outward tension of the inflatable body 1. This can be advantageous, for example, for items of clothing that yield slightly from the inside when subjected to great tension.
  • FIG 3 shows a cover 8 according to a second embodiment, in which the cover 8 is used to reduce the dimensions of the inflatable body 1.
  • This can be advantageous for smoothing small items of clothing in which the inflatable body 1 has many folds within the item of clothing to be smoothed, which folds lie against the inside of the fabric of the item of clothing and can cause impressions. These could become apparent on the outside and worsen the smoothing result.
  • With the help of the smaller cover 8 it is achieved that a smooth surface lies against the inside of the fabric of the garment and that no folds can be seen on the inside.
  • This embodiment is used in particular for smoothing short-sleeved shirts and therefore has shortened sleeve sections. Because of the shorter sleeves which are open at the front, the cover 8 according to the third embodiment has a smaller surface area, is simple in terms of shape and can therefore be produced more cost-effectively.
  • the cover 8 can also be given a shape whose type differs from that of the inflatable body 1. This can be an advantage for items of clothing in which a bloating pressure that acts uniformly over the inner surface does not lead to an optimal smoothing result, as can be the case, for example, in blouses with unusual cuts.
  • some items of clothing have areas that require external pressure, such as is exerted when ironing, for a correct smoothing treatment. This can be, for example, in areas in which the tissue has been folded and sewn in this state. Such an area can be, for example, the transition between a wide sleeve and a cuff.
  • the coating 8 can be designed that it does not inflate or only inflates to a certain extent in these areas. These areas can then be smoothed with an iron in a conventional manner.
  • the cover 8 shown in FIG. 4 according to a fourth embodiment also reduces the dimensions of the inflatable body 1, but is closed on the sleeves in contrast to the previous third embodiment. This has the advantage that less air is lost at the ends of the sleeve sections of the inflatable body 1, which air cannot be used to smooth a section of the garment anyway.
  • the cover is available as an accessory, with an assortment of covers staggered according to common clothing sizes, such as. B. SX, S, M, L, X, XL, XXL is provided. Furthermore, the covering can be provided in predetermined cuts which influence the shape of the temple manikin.
