- the invention is based on a snorkeling device for a submarine, this device having a fresh air line and an exhaust line as well as one provided in the tower of the submarine and out of the tower retractable head unit from a tubular casing with an inner Fresh air pipe and an inner exhaust pipe.
- Such snorkeling devices are generally known and are used to this, in particular the exhaust gases of those operated with liquid fuel Drive motors of the submarine to the atmosphere above the water surface dissipate.
- the submarine is located in a specific one Diving depth below the water surface, the head unit the snorkeling device is extended upwards, that the top of this head device is above the water surface located.
- the exhaust gases from the drive motor are then by means of the exhaust pipe of the snorkeling device is discharged to the atmosphere.
- the object of the invention is to improve a snorkeling device of the introductory kind in such a way that for the Crew of the submarine a sufficient and harmless survival atmosphere is ensured. Furthermore, the snorkeling device be designed so that the engine exhaust gases over different Paths can be removed from the submarine.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the lateral exhaust gas outlet holes in at least one row with a small one Distance from each other arranged along the circumference of the jacket tube are. These holes can be designed as elongated holes his.
- the nozzle design can also be constructed to be lockable, the upper one Provide wall area of the inner exhaust pipe with side gas outlets is.
- a feature in that the exhaust pipe is one inside the submarine provided gas exchange device for exchanging the gas atmosphere is assigned inside the submarine.
- the gas exchange device can include a fan or compressor and additionally or alternatively, a supply of compressed oxygen and Nitrogen to create a better or artificial atmosphere in include the submarine.
- the respective supply of oxygen and nitrogen is advantageously carried in gas containers.
- Fig. 1 is an extended, generally designated 1 head unit a not shown snorkeling device 21 for a submarine shown.
- the snorkeling device 21 comprises one in the usual way Fresh air line 2 and an exhaust gas line 3.
- the fresh air line has one vertically movable fresh air pipe 4 and a vertically movable exhaust pipe 5, both arranged inside a casing tube 6 and are movable together with this.
- the fresh air pipe 4 and the exhaust pipe 5 together with the casing tube 6 form the head unit 1, the in the usual way by means of a hydraulic cylinder stroke drive (not shown) vertically extendable and retractable from the tower of the submarine is.
- the upper end of the is in the extended state Head unit 1 above the sea surface 7 (Fig. 1), so that fresh air about the openable, closable fresh air pipe 4 and the additional fresh air line 2 are inserted into the interior of the submarine can.
- the casing tube 6 in its upper peripheral area with a plurality of lateral Provide exhaust gas outlet holes 8. These exhaust outlet holes are in the casing pipe below the upper end 9 of the inner fresh air pipe 4 arranged.
- the inner exhaust pipe 5 ends with its upper end 10 in the area of the lateral gas outlet holes 8, as shown in FIG. 1. This Formation of the head unit 1 allows the side to exit the exhaust gas 11 flowing out of the casing pipe 6, as indicated by the arrows 12.
- exhaust gas outlet holes 8 in the casing 6 are arranged, as shown in FIG. 1.
- the exhaust holes are themselves preferably designed as elongated holes in order to take up little space to ensure the largest possible gas outlet area.
- An alternative embodiment for the non-impairing derivation of exhaust gases 11 from the exhaust pipe 5 is that Upper end 10 of the exhaust pipe 5 an upward-acting exhaust gas acceleration device 14 has.
- the acceleration device 14 consists of a nozzle formation 15. This nozzle formation can be designed so that the upper end region the exhaust pipe is designed as a taper. Thereby the exhaust gas 11 is accelerated when it exits the exhaust pipe 5 and in this way develops a considerably increased outflow rate and thus an increased outflow force.
- Such a configuration of the upper end 10 of the exhaust pipe 5 ensures in calm or weak winds also that the Exhaust gases flowing out of the exhaust pipe 5 do not again have the Fresh air tube 4 are sucked into the interior of the submarine.
- the taper 15a can have an inner body 15b, which is designed to accelerate the flow, z. B. plug-shaped, as shown in Fig. 3.
- This inner body 15 b is in Tapered area positioned so that a strong outflow rate the exhaust gases from the exhaust pipe 5 takes place.
- the inner body 15b can be translational be designed to be movable up and down. Then he also has that Function of a closing body to close the exhaust pipe 5, when the submarine dives.
- the nozzle design can 15 to create an annular gap 16 from a pipe section 17 for a supply air mixing into that from the nozzle formation 15 escaping exhaust gas to be surrounded.
- the Exhaust pipe 5 outflowing gas diluted so that, if exhaust gas in the fresh air tube 4 arrives, the degree of danger of the so sucked Exhaust gas is very low and can be neglected.
- FIG. 4 A third embodiment for preventing exhaust gas from being sucked back is shown in Figures 4 and 5.
- the upper end 10 of the exhaust pipe 5 is designed to be closable, and the upper wall area of the Exhaust pipe is with side gas outlets 18 which are at the level of the side Gas outlet holes 8 of the casing tube 6 are provided.
- this will be the top one Formation of the exhaust pipe 5, as described in connection with FIG. 3 is applied; that is, the top end 10 of the exhaust pipe 5 has a nozzle configuration 15.
- a vertically movable closing body 19 is provided, which is preferably aerodynamically designed, as shown in the figures 4 and 5 can be seen.
- the exhaust pipe is closed at the top shown.
- This operating state is applied when the winch 13 have a higher wind speed, e.g. from wind force 3 Beaufort.
- the exhaust gases 11 flow through the side gas outlets 18 from the exhaust pipe 5 and are due to the wind forces immediately deflected laterally and the side gas outlet holes 8 of the jacket tube 6 blown so that they laterally from these holes emerge from the jacket tube.
- the exhaust pipe 5 is shown in the open position. This mode of operation is used when there is no wind or light winds (e.g. below wind force 3 Beaufort) applied. It can be seen that the exhaust gases 11 essentially vertically and accelerates upwards from the exhaust pipe 5 into the Exude atmosphere. Small portions of the exhaust gas can enter the exhaust pipe 5 also leave and close via its side gas outlets 18 the lateral gas outlet holes 8 of the casing tube 6 flow around to leave the snorkel this way.
- FIG. 6 Another embodiment of the snorkeling device 21 is shown in FIG. 6 shown.
- the entire snorkeling device is shown so that you have the full fresh air line 2 and the full Exhaust pipe 3 recognizes.
- About the fresh air line 2 is more common Way, the entire interior of the submarine 20 and its drive motor 22 supplied with fresh air.
- the exhaust pipe 3 the exhaust gases of the engine 22 via the snorkeling device 21 from the Submarine escaped.
- 6 shows the snorkeling device 21 with extended head unit 1 so that fresh air gets into the submarine, while the exhaust gases from the engine 22 are discharged to the atmosphere.
- Figures 1 to 5 trained top of the snorkeling device 21 used are used.
- the head unit 1 is in the tower 23 of the submarine 20 retracted, both the fresh air pipe 4 and the exhaust pipe 5 the head unit 1 are closed at its upper end.
