Definitions
- the invention relates to an oil pump drive for a motor vehicle, comprising a Impeller with a hollow axle and a drive shaft, which in the hollow axle the impeller rotatably engages. Furthermore, the invention relates to an oil pump with such an oil pump drive.
- Oil pumps in motor vehicles are used for lubrication and cooling Oil required by the engine and transmission to a sufficient operating pressure bring and circulate in the oil circuit.
- an oil pump drive which is driven by the engine of the motor vehicle Drive shaft with a part of the oil pump to be rotated (hereinafter as "impeller") coupled.
- the operative connection between impeller and drive shaft is typically made by the drive shaft rotatably engaged in a cylindrical hollow shaft of the impeller.
- the hollow axle the impeller has for this purpose two opposing, radial inwardly drawn abutment surfaces, and the cylindrical drive shaft is equipped with two flats with corresponding counter-abutment surfaces.
- an oil pump drive to provide a smoother running behavior.
- the oil pump drive according to the invention contains a pump wheel with a hollow axle and a drive shaft which rotatably in the hollow shaft of the impeller intervenes.
- the impeller may be for which the oil pump drive should be used, designed differently. Especially This can be designed as an internal gear of a gear pump or a sickle pump be.
- a torque or a Rotation are supplied, wherein the drive shaft in turn usually from the crankshaft of the engine is driven.
- the oil pump drive is characterized characterized in that on the hollow shaft of the impeller and on the Drive shaft is formed in each case exactly one contact zone, the two Contact zones during operation of the oil pump drive touching each other and force transmitted from the drive shaft to the impeller. Typically it is at the contact zones to relatively small, contiguous Patches.
- the hollow axis of the impeller and the drive shaft each cylindrical with a radially inwardly standing "primary" stop surface educated.
- said "cylinder with stop surface” the impeller an inner surface (the hollow axis) and the drive shaft defines an outer surface.
- the dimensions and shapes of the hollow shaft and the drive shaft so coordinated that the drive shaft fits with a predetermined game in the hollow shaft of the impeller and at the primary stop surfaces of the drive shaft or impeller in each case a contact zone for the desired power transmission is specified.
- the hollow axle the impeller and the drive shaft each have a "secondary", radially inward standing stop surface, which is the primary stop surface substantially diametrically or mirror image opposite.
- the secondary Stop surfaces serve the tangential clearance between the drive shaft and to limit the impeller in an adjustable manner.
- the "tangential" game the (angular) game, with which the drive shaft (for example, in a reversal of the direction of rotation) free and can rotate to the impeller without operative connection.
- projections may be provided which allow a constructively defined setting of the desired game.
- the invention relates to an oil pump, which is an oil pump drive of the type described above.
- this may be Oil pump to act around a gear pump or a sickle pump.
- Figures 1 and 2 are the essential parts for the present invention an oil pump of a motor vehicle according to the invention shown, wherein the same Reference numerals in the two figures stand for the same components and Figure 1 also alike for an oil pump according to the prior art ( Figure 3) would apply.
- the oil pump may be, for example, a Gear or sickle pump act. Shown here is a gear pump, at which is an internal gear or impeller 1 of the crankshaft of the motor vehicle is driven in rotation and this rotation to an eccentrically mounted, internally toothed Outer wheel 7 passes.
- Figure 1 are of this constellation only the impeller 1, the outer wheel 7, a part of the housing wall 3 of the oil pump and a drive shaft 2 shown.
- the drive shaft 2 carries at one end a pulley 4 for driving ancillaries such as e.g. the water pump and the generator.
- a coming from the direction of arrow II pin (not shown) couples the drive shaft 2 with the crankshaft (not shown) of the motor vehicle.
- the drive shaft 2 further engages against rotation in the hollow axle the impeller 1, so that they can take the latter when they themselves is driven by the crankshaft of the motor vehicle.
- Figure 3 shows how the non-rotatable coupling between the drive shaft 2 'and impeller 1 'is realized in conventional oil pump drives.
- the reference numbers of Components corresponding to those of FIGS. 1 and 2 are shown in FIG 3 with a dash.
- the hollow axle of the Impeller 1 ' two parallel stop surfaces 5a' and 5b ', which narrow the otherwise cylindrical inner surface of the hollow shaft.
- the basically cylindrical outer surface of the drive shaft 2 ' has accordingly on two opposite sides flats 6a ', 6b' on.
- the surface 5a opposite abutment surface 5b of the Impeller 1 also has a radially inwardly directed projection. This serves to the range of motion between drive shaft 2 and pump 1 narrowing in the tangential direction and thereby rotational vibrations between Drive shaft 2 and impeller 1 to minimize. This also causes the generation of noise reduced during operation of the oil pump.
- FIG. 2 Another advantage of the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2 is that that the margins or tolerances between drive shaft 2 and Impeller 1 in the two directions perpendicular to the drive shaft 2 directions (radially, d. H. in Figure 2 up and down, and tangential, i. in Figure 2 to the right and left) can be specified independently.
