Definitions

  • the invention relates to an apparatus for forming stacks of printed products, comprising a turntable on which the stacks are respectively formed and having a lift with which printed products can be raised.
  • Devices of the type mentioned have long been known in the printing industry and formed in particular as a so-called stacker, with which stack can be produced, in which layers are rotated 180 ° to each other.
  • the stacks are made from printed products such as magazines, brochures, leaflets, signatures and the like.
  • the supply of printed products to the device takes place, for example, in the scale flow with a suitable transport device.
  • a single feeder it is also conceivable a single feeder.
  • the removal of the stack formed takes place with a suitable funding.
  • the The printed products supplied to the device are dropped onto a packet table.
  • This package table is vertically movable.
  • In the middle of the packet table is a lift with a bottom pressure plate. With this bottom pressure plate, a formed stack for pressing and picking up a falling position can be raised.
  • a disadvantage of this device is that the bottom pressure plate must be replaced even with small format changes of the printed products. It is therefore necessary to keep several such ground pressure plates in a certain grid available. Next, there is the difficulty in this device that the folds of the printed products are not sufficiently pressed during pressing.
  • a lift is also provided with a bottom plate.
  • For pressing pressing members are provided on the bottom plate, which are pivotable and against which a stack formed by a stroke of the bottom plate can be pressed.
  • EP 0 829 441 A a device for ejecting stacked printed sheets.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned.
  • the object is achieved in a generic device in that the lift connected to the turntable is formed in two parts by two lift parts, each with a lift plate and that at least one pressing flap is provided against which a stack formed or at least one layer with a lift of the lift abpressbar is.
  • the two-part design allows the use of two lift plates, with which the folds of the printed products are better abpressbar, which is for the further processing of the pressed stack of significant advantage. Instead of a centric bottom plate thus two lift parts are used, which collectively lift the printed products stack. The lifting can be used for pressing but also for picking up a new layer.
  • the inventive device has the further significant advantage that the center of the turntable can be kept free for a Ausweossnut.
  • This ejection groove can be arranged between the two parts of the lift. This allows ejection from below, which allows a much shorter cycle time.
  • the lift has two lift parts, each with its own lift plate.
  • the distance between the lift plate and the format edge can thus always be kept constant.
  • the lift plates must therefore be replaced only with larger format changes.
  • the lift is integrated in a turntable compartment.
  • the table has a horizontally extending ejection groove. As already mentioned, this allows ejection from below, which allows significantly shorter cycle times.
  • the ejection takes place according to a development of the invention with a driver, which is vertically and horizontally movable in the ejection groove.
  • the driver is rod-shaped according to a development of the invention. This allows a particularly flexible adaptability to the stack and in particular to the stack height.
  • a layer L is understood to mean a group of printed products which are aligned in the same way. Such a situation L is in the FIG. 3 shown.
  • the layer L is formed here of printed products 33 of a scale flow 30, which is conveyed in the direction of the arrow 31.
  • the transport takes place in a conventional manner with a transport device, not shown here.
  • a stack S usually consists of several layers L, which usually rotated 180 ° to each other are. If stacks S are formed from layers L which are rotated 180 ° relative to one another, then the so-called cross-laying is used.
  • the device shown has a turntable compartment 2 with four compartment flaps 7, which are for example pneumatically pivotable for ejecting a stack formed S about a vertical axis.
  • pneumatic lines 15 and a respective pivot drive 44 are provided.
  • the turntable compartment 2 is mounted on a turntable 9 which is fixed with angle feet 23 or other suitable fastening means on a rotary ring 11.
  • This rotary ring 11 is rotatable with a motor 12, which is connected via a toothed belt wheel 14 and a toothed belt 13 with the rotary ring 11.
  • an ejection groove 10 which serves to receive a driver 18 of an ejection device 17 runs.
  • a flexible conduit 16 is provided for the pneumatic lines 15 to the turntable 9.
  • other lines can be passed through this duct 16.
  • a lift 3 is integrated.
  • This lift 3 has two layer lift parts 3a and 3b, which are arranged with respect to the ejection groove 10 substantially mirror-symmetrically.
  • the lift parts 3a and 3b are made substantially of equal parts and operate substantially synchronously with each other.
  • the lift parts 3a and 3b each have a lift plate 8, which in FIG. 1 shown with dashed lines. In the arrangement shown, these lift plates 8 are applied to the turntable 9.
  • the lift plates 8 are each mounted on a lift guide 6 and vertically movable on this.
  • the lift plates 8 are preferably by means of pneumatic cylinders 45 moves vertically along the lift guide 6, wherein both lift plates 8 are independent of each other. Preferably, both lift plates 8 are moved synchronously with each other.
  • the lift plates 8 By pressing the pneumatic cylinder 45 thus the lift plates 8 in the in Fig. 1 drawn position and moved back to the original position.
  • the lift plates 8 can be raised at most to the position of the press flaps 4, or the stroke is deliberately reduced to a predetermined level for the purpose of picking up falling layers.
  • servomotors could be used to generate the drive.
  • the two lift plates 8 are arranged at a distance from each other, so that there is a passage between them and the aforementioned ejection groove 10 is arranged freely between these layer plates 8.
  • the two lift parts 3a and 3b each have a press flap 4, which are each movable horizontally with a pneumatic cylinder 5.
  • the press flaps 4 are each shown in a retracted position. In this layer L can be freely inserted from above into the turntable 2. In a further advanced position, these press flaps 4 protrude into the turntable compartment 2 at least partially.
  • These movements are preferably carried out with said pneumatic cylinders 5, but here is another drive, for example with a servo motor conceivable.
  • the Ausstossernut motors 28 are provided which transmit the drive movement by means of shafts 29 which are formed as a spindle on the compartment flaps 7 via unspecified transmission.
  • the loading of the turntable compartment 2 with layers L is carried out according to FIG. 3 with the help of a layer tray 32 and forks 34.
  • a layer tray 32 and forks 34 In the FIG. 3 is in the ply 32 a layer L.
  • the fork 34 is closed here and holds the position L in the position shown.
  • the fork 34 can be opened so that the layer L falls from above into the turntable compartment 2.
  • the lift plates 8 are preferably lifted with an already partially formed stack S. Before picking up a layer L of partially formed stack S is rotated by a rotational movement of the table 9 by 180 ° as indicated by arrow 35.
  • the aforementioned ejection device 17 is provided.
  • a carrier 19 which is fixed to the underside of the turntable 9 at this and which is parallel to the ejection groove 10.
  • guide rods 24 or similar guide means are provided, on which a carriage 25 is mounted, which is horizontally movable in the directions of the double arrow 26.
  • a pneumatic cylinder 21 or other suitable drive means for example a servomotor is attached.
  • a further drive 20 for example a servo motor, intended.
  • the horizontal movement can also be done pneumatically.
  • a suitable connection means 22 at the lower end of the pneumatic cylinder 21 is arranged.
  • the driver 18 can thus simultaneously moved horizontally in the directions of the double arrow 26 and simultaneously moved vertically.
  • a controller not shown here is provided.
  • FIG. 4a shows an initial state in which the turntable compartment 2 is still empty.
  • the fork 34 of the ply 32 is closed.
  • Newly supplied printed products 33 are held in the layer compartment 32 and finally form a layer L.
  • the two press flaps 4 are in the retracted position, so that the turntable compartment 2 is open at the top.
  • the two lift plates 8 are in a raised position.
  • the printed products 33 of the layer L each have a fold F on. These folds F are all one above the other and thus on the same side of the ply 32.
  • FIG. 4b shows a fully formed layer L formed in the ply 32.
  • the lift plates 8 are now moved down, the position L is guided and aligned with the compartment flaps 7 of the turntable compartment 2. Simultaneously with the closing of the fork 34, the press flaps 4 in the in FIG. 4d driven position shown. In this position, the press flaps 4 protrude at least partially into the turntable compartment 2.
  • the layer L is now raised in the direction of arrows 37 and pressed against the retracted press flaps 4.
  • the two lift plates 8 are in this case raised synchronously by corresponding actuation of the two lift parts 3a and 3b.
  • the folds F are here in FIG. 4d completely supported in the left lift plate 8 and thus these folds F can be completely and effectively pressed.
  • the lift plate 8 thus also extends into the region of the fold F.
  • the compressed layer L 'becomes Figure 4e drove down.
  • the press flaps 4 are moved to the retracted position.
  • the fork 34 remains closed so that at the same time a further layer L can be formed in the layer compartment 32.
  • the position L ' is rotated by turning the table 9 by 180 °. If a new layer L is formed in the layer compartment 32, the above-explained procedure is repeated.
  • pressing in this case however, already two layers L deposited crosswise are pressed.
  • the process can be repeated several times, so that finally there is a stack S, which consists of several layers L deposited crosswise.
  • the lifting of the lift plates 8 for pressing is adjusted according to the height of the formed stack S.
  • FIGS. 5a and 5b schematically show the ejection of a formed stack S.
  • This stack S may, as mentioned, consist of several layers L deposited crosswise.
  • the driver 18 is completely below the table 9, as shown in FIG. 5b indicated by dashed lines.
  • the driver 18 is dependent on the format immediately to the left of the stack formed S in the direction 39 raised.
  • the lifting height can depend on the height of the stack S.
  • the driver 18 is moved in the direction 38.
  • the raised driver 18 is in this case on the stack S and pushes this according Fig. 5a left to right.
  • the driver 18 is simultaneously moved back in the direction 40 and direction 41 into the starting position.
  • the ejection process can of course also be carried out in the opposite direction.
  • the ejection movement of the driver 18 can be changed in the direction 38 due to the available cycle time.
  • acceleration and speed can be changed.
  • a newly formed stack S or a new position L in the direction of arrow 42 can be moved down on the turntable 9.
  • the FIG. 5b shows an ejected stack S ', which is moved in the direction of arrow 43 to a means of transport, not shown here.
  • the ejected stack S ' is thus immediately further promoted and further processed, for example, for shipping, for example, packaged and addressed.
  • For the storage of a newly formed stack S or a new layer L therefore does not have be serviced until the driver 18 is in the rest position.
  • the downward movement of the driver 18 in the direction of the arrow 40 and the horizontal movement in the direction 41 can take place simultaneously with the storage of the stack S or the new layer L in the direction of the arrow 42. This allows a particularly short cycle time.
