  • the shock suppression apparatus may be reinforced with webbing or strapping, such as by strips of Velcro®, running lengthways along the top, sides and/or bottom of the wall such that although it is composed of a number of individual inflatable structures as shown in Figure 1 and 2 the resultant composite wall structure may effectively be regarded as a single structure having the known advantages for suppressing the effects of an explosion or collision through the use of water, without using any rigid parts and whilst retaining sufficient height to ensure that damage to adjacent buildings etc. is minimised, as compared to existing self-supporting non-rigid structures of lower height.

Claims (11)

  1. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung zur Unterdrückung der Wirkungen einer Explosion oder Kollision, umfassend oder aufweisend ein Paar aufblasbare Behälter (1, 2), die mit Abstand nebeneinander liegende Wände aufweisen und an entsprechenden oberen Enden miteinander entweder direkt oder indirekt verbunden oder verbindbar sind und an ihren entsprechenden unteren Enden entweder direkt oder indirekt miteinander verbunden oder verbindbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwischen den mit Wänden versehenen Behältern eine aufblasbare Stützkisseneinrichtung (5) angeordnet ist, um die Wände des Behälters gegen Zusammenstürzen abzustützen, wenn sie mit Wasser gefüllt werden.
  2. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die oberen Enden der mit Wänden versehenen Behälter durch Gurte oder Bänder (3) miteinander verbunden sind und daß die unteren Enden auseinandergespreizt und mit einem aufblasbaren Bodenkörper (4) verbunden sind, so daß sie zusammengenommen im aufgeblasenen Zustand eine Struktur mit einem in etwa dreieckförmigen Querschnitt bilden.
  3. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Stützeinrichtung (5) teilweise oder insgesamt einen dreieckigen Querschnitt hat.
  4. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wände der mit Wänden versehenen Behälter (1, 2, 4) durch Maschenstiche miteinander verbunden sind, um dadurch ihr Nachaußenbeulen als Folge des Gewichtes des in ihnen enthaltenen Wassers zu verhindern oder zu hemmen.
  5. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jeder mit Wänden versehene Behälter (1, 2, 4) aus einer Anzahl einzelner Segmente oder Zellen besteht, die dadurch die Neigung jedes Segmentes oder jeder Zelle die insgesamt verlangte Form der mit Wänden versehenen Behälter dadurch zu gefährden, daß sie unter dem Gewicht des Wassers zusammenfallen, auf ein Mindestmaß beschränken.
  6. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Innenwände der mit Wänden versehenen Behälter (1, 2, 4) an wichtigen Stellen durch Gurte miteinander verbunden sind.
  7. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Innenwände durch Gurte miteinander verbunden sind, die an Ort und Stelle warmverschweißt sind.
  8. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die mit Wänden versehenen Behälter (1, 2) einander unter Bildung von Stufen oder Staffeln überlappen, so daß die miteinander verbundenen Behälter jeder Vorrichtung verkettet sind, um dadurch eine durchgehende Wand aus solchen Strukturen zu bilden.
  9. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Behälter miteinander längs der Wandlinie durch Stützgurte / Bänder (3) miteinander verkettet sind.
  10. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 8 oder 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Behälter miteinander durch Verwendung von Gurtstreifen oder Bandstreifen (3) verbunden sind, die jeder durch Maschen angeheftet ist und die in der Lage sind, mit benachbarten Gurten oder Bändern bei derartigen Stützstrukturen in Verbindung zu treten.
  11. Stoßdämpfungsvorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Stützeinrichtung (5) Luft oder Flüssigkeit oder ein Gemisch von beiden enthalten kann, das beispielsweise mit einem feuerhemmenden / -unterdrückenden Material oder einem gewissen anderen nützlichem Material versehen ist, das nach einer stattfindenden Explosion oder Kollision freigesetzt werden kann.
