Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for spraying a fluid according to the preamble of claim 1. It also relates to a method for producing the device and its use.
- the spray can In order to avoid propellants for reasons of environmental protection in sprays propellants, it is known to use in the spray can an inner container made of rubber-elastic material, which is filled with the liquid to be sprayed and thereby expands. The elasticity of the rubber exposes the contents of the container to pressure which, upon actuation of the valve connected to the inner container, results in atomization of the spray liquid.
- a rubber-elastic material among other things, silicone rubber is proposed, which contracts reversibly so far that only a small residual liquid quantity remains in the inner container.
- EP 0 361 091 A1 discloses an inner container made of a silicone rubber inner layer and an outer layer made of natural rubber
- WO 2005/012136 A1 discloses an inner container which consists of a silicone rubber tube whose end remote from the inner container opening is closed by folding over is.
- the folded end can not be reliably sealed.
- the known sprayer is thus unusable.
- the object of the invention is to provide a spraying device that meets all requirements in terms of pressure, low residual fill and tightness.
- the silicone rubber container at its end facing away from the container opening on a closed end formed by spraying the container.
- the container is also completely dense at this end.
- the device according to the invention is suitable for spraying any fluids, that is to say for liquids, but also as dispensers for gel- and cream-like or pasty or pulverulent fillers or gases, for example in household, pharmacy, cosmetics, chemicals and foodstuffs.
- the obturator which is provided at the container opening, is preferably a valve, but may also be a cock, a slide or the like.
- the actuation of the obturator can be done in different ways.
- a valve can be actuated by a push button or a hand lever. Due to the elasticity of the silicone rubber, the content of the filled container is exposed to the necessary pressure to atomize the appropriate amount of spray liquid on actuation of the obturator.
- the silicone rubber container preferably has a wall thickness of 2 mm to 8 mm, in particular 3 mm to 6 mm, and a Shore hardness of 10 to 100, preferably 30 to 60, in particular 40 to 60 on.
- the Shore hardness and the wall thickness can also be used to set the pressure at which the spray liquid or other fluid emerges from the shut-off device.
- a rather high Shore hardness e.g. for a wound spray a rather low Shore hardness is used.
- the silicone rubber or silicone rubber container may have any shape. In the empty state, however, it is preferably formed tubular, with its length may be, for example, 5 cm to 20 cm. However, when filled, the container may also have a different shape, e.g. be spherical. Thus, a spherical shape is particularly advantageous for large containers, which can be used for example for humidification. Such a container may e.g. be filled with 5 1 of water and more.
- the container When empty, the container has only a small outer diameter of preferably 5 mm to 30 mm, in particular 10 mm to 18 mm. That is, with a wall thickness of, for example, 5 mm and an outer diameter of, for example, 12 mm, the inner diameter is only 2 mm, so that only a small residual amount remains in the container, in view of the fact that the container up to 5 times, if necessary even on the 8-fold and more of his Outside diameter can be stretched during filling. In this case, the residual amount can be further reduced by the fact that in the container, a preferably rod-shaped displacer is introduced.
- the container preferably has a wall thickness which gradually decreases from the container opening to the closed end of the container.
- the decrease in the wall thickness total, for example, be 5% to 30%.
- the silicone rubber container may be connected directly to the obturator, e.g. with a valve.
- the container is preferably connected to the valve with an adapter.
- the adapter is preferably formed by a length of pipe which is connected to the silicone rubber container e.g. can be connected by high-frequency, in particular ultrasonic welding, or by molding, as explained in more detail below.
- the pipe section may be provided with annular ribs, the edges of which are pressed into the silicone rubber in order to strengthen the connection.
- the adapter can be attached in any way.
- the valve at least in the region where it is connected to the adapter, consists of the same or a similar plastic as the adapter, adapter and valve can be thermo-welded, for example.
- the adapter may be made of polyamide and the valve made of the same material at least in the area where it is connected to the adapter.
- the Adapters are glued to the valve, or latched into the valve, screwed or the like may be formed.
- the device according to the invention may consist only of the silicone rubber container and the valve and optionally the adapter, the e.g. tubular silicone rubber container can be taken directly by hand when using the device according to the invention.
- the silicone rubber container can also be arranged in an outer container.
- the outer container may e.g. a carton, optionally also a bottle, e.g. with a screw cap, which can be attached to the valve. Because of its small outer diameter in the empty state, even at its end remote from the container opening, the container can be introduced into a bottle even through a narrow bottle opening.
- the bottle may be transparent, e.g. be a glass bottle to visually check the condition of the inner container. It can e.g. also be a plastic bottle.
- a can is used as the outer container, which can correspond to a conventional spray can. If then also a commercially available for spray can valve is used, the device of the invention can be very economically form a spray can.
- an injection molding tool which has an outer shape and a core, wherein the silicone rubber material is injected into the cavity between outer shape and core.
- the silicone rubber material is preferably injected via a nozzle in the outer mold, which faces away from the container opening End of the cavity is provided so that in the nozzle-facing portion of the injection mold, the closed end of the container is formed.
- the adapter is inserted during injection of the silicone rubber container into the injection mold at the end facing away from the nozzle end of the cavity in order to connect it firmly with the silicone rubber container.
- the adapter can immediately after it, e.g. has been injected from polyamide, so be placed in the hot state in the injection mold for spraying the silicone rubber container. This creates a particularly intimate connection between silicone rubber container and adapter.
- the core for injecting the silicone rubber container may be plugged into the cavity in the tubular adapter in the injection tool for positioning.
- the core preferably consists of a bending-resistant material, for example ceramic, or a bending-resistant metal material, optionally also of a metal tube, in which the end projecting into the cavity is closed in order to maintain the predetermined wall thickness of the silicone rubber container exactly.
- the core can be correspondingly tapered.
- the silicone rubber container has been injected, the outer mold is opened, the silicone rubber container with the adapter molded onto it is removed and the core is pulled out of the adapter.
- the above-described processes for producing the silicone rubber container can also be performed automatically.
- the core may also remain in the container as a lost core to form a displacer rod.
- the device according to the invention is suitable for example for spraying water and oxygen.
- older people in particular suffer from the summer heat. These people can be given relief by making available to them the device according to the invention for spraying water and oxygen.
- the water can then be sprayed as a fine mist, for example, in the face or on the arms. Due to the resulting evaporation cold it acts as a coolant.
- the finely atomised water also counteracts the drying out of the mucous membranes of the mouth and nose.
- the directly added oxygen also acts as an invigorating shower.
- the silicone rubber container may be e.g. in a spray can filled with water to which oxygen has been pressed. Also, it is possible to fill the water in the silicone rubber container and the oxygen in the space between the silicone rubber container and the can. With two separate or one multi-way valve, the water can then be sprayed separately together with the oxygen or the water and the oxygen.
- the silicone rubber material used to spray the container of the device according to the invention may include Solid rubber or a liquid rubber, for example, an "Elastosil” rubber from Wacker-Chemie AG.
- a multi-valve system offers the possibility of connecting several silicone rubber containers in series, combining them in a valve and spraying them as a composition, e.g. a 2-component adhesive.
- the level of the container can be seen the level of the container. It can be applied a certain amount, which can be defined by a mark on the hose. Especially with 2-component mixtures exactly a certain mixing ratio can be achieved.
- Figure 1 shows a longitudinal section through an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through an injection molding tool for producing the silicone rubber container of the device according to the invention.
- the device as outer container 1 has a can with a valve 3.
- a silicone rubber container 2 is arranged, which is hatched in the empty state and shown in dashed lines in the filled state.
- the valve 3 is fixed to a plate 4, which is flanged at 5 around the edge at the opening of the can 1.
- the valve 3 consists of the valve body 6, which is loaded with a compression spring 7 in the closed position.
- the valve body 6 has a shaft 8 on which a push button 9 is guided, wherein the shaft 8 and thus the valve body 6 pushes the valve body 6 in pressing the push button 9 according to the arrow 10 in the direction of the can 1 in the open position, whereby the fluid, not shown in the drawing in the filled container shown in dashed lines 2 passes through a transverse bore 11 and the longitudinal bore 12 in the shaft 8 to the outlet bore 13 in the push button 9 and is sprayed.
- the silicone rubber container 2 is connected via a tubular adapter 14 with the valve housing 15, for example by welding with the hollow pin 16 on the valve housing 15, which projects into the adapter 14.
- the silicone rubber container 2 is sprayed at its opening 20 with its end portion 2 'on the adapter 14.
- the adapter 14 has a plate 17 and on the container 2 side facing in cross-section barb-shaped annular ribs 18 which engage in the silicone rubber. With 19 of the sprue is designated, which arises when spraying the silicone rubber container 2 at its closed end 2 ".
- the wall thickness w of the container 2 in the empty state can be eg 5 mm, the inflatable length 1 of the empty container 2 eg 150 mm.
- the outer diameter d of the empty container 2 may be 12 mm, for example. Over the length 1, the Wall thickness w of the container 2 from the adapter 14 to the closed end 2 '' decrease.
- an injection mold 21 is used to produce the connected to the adapter 14 silicone rubber container 2, an injection mold 21 which consists of an outer mold 22 and a core 23, wherein between the outer mold 22 and the core 23, a cavity 24 is formed, the shape of the empty container 2 corresponds.
- the adapter 14 is inserted at one end of the cavity 23.
- the core 23 is inserted for positioning in the cavity 24 with its one end in the tubular adapter 14.
- the adapter 14 is in turn fixed by engagement in the axial recess 25 in the outer mold 22 and by engagement of its plate 17 in an annular groove 26 in the outer mold 22, wherein in the plane of the plate 17, the dividing joint 27 of the outer mold 22 extends. Via the nozzle 28, the silicone rubber is injected into the mold cavity 24.
