Abstract
La présente invention a trait à une trousse d'essai diagnostique pour la détection de la présence ou de l'absence d'une protéase (par exemple, l'aminopeptidase) au sein d'un échantillon d'essai. La trousse d'essai comporte un substrat qui est capable d'être clivé en présence de la protéase pour la libération d'un composé. La trousse comporte également un dispositif d'écoulement latéral comprenant un support chromatographique. Le support chromatographique définit une zone de détection au sein de laquelle est contenu un premier réactif (par exemple, l'ion diazonium) qui est capable de réagir avec le composé pour former un deuxième réactif (par exemple, un composé azoïque aromatique). Le deuxième réactif présente une couleur qui est différente de la couleur du premier réactif. Le dispositif d'écoulement latéral comporte également un matériau absorbant disposé adjacent au support chromatographique, le matériau absorbant recevant l'échantillon d'essai suite à son écoulement à travers le support chromatographique.
