Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a grinding tool for natural stone, artificial stone and industrial floors according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Stone slabs of natural stone (marble, granite, basalt, etc.), artificial stone (terrazzo based on cement, PU or epoxy) and industrial floors (concrete, mastic asphalt, screed polished, etc.) without surface glaze are pre-sanded once before delivery. Especially with natural stone we often ground again in the laid state.
  • the present invention now has the object to improve a grinding tool for natural stone, artificial stone and industrial floors of the type mentioned in such a way that the advantages of the known grinding tools are retained, but the device can grind and edit depressions and joints of plate floors.
  • This object is achieved by a grinding tool for natural stone, artificial stone and industrial floors having the features of claim 1. Further inventive features are evident from the dependent claims and the advantages thereof are explained in the following description.
  • a prime mover 45 is shown as e.g. is used for sanding natural and artificial stone floors.
  • a drive 44 e.g. an electric or internal combustion engine drives one or more shaft journals 2.
  • This shaft journal 2 is connected to a base plate 3.
  • the base plate 3 is rotated via the shaft 2 by means of drive 44 in rotation.
  • a releasable connecting element 10 (Figure 2) is attached.
  • a hook-and-loop fastener is advantageous (FIG. 11).
  • a releasable adhesive bond as used for attaching skins to skis.
  • the side with the base 13 is fastened to the base plate 3, while the mat 4 to be fastened (FIG. 11) is provided with a suitable hook and loop 14, for example felt.
  • the use of a detachable connection element 10 offers the great advantage of being able to exchange mats 4 and diamond tools 5 quickly and easily.
  • a mat 4 is detachably connected directly or via a carrier 12 ( Figure 2) with the base plate 3.
  • the mat 4 is eg an elastic polyether and is called by the users "Poly decisivher Päd.”
  • the velcro 14 of the connecting element 10 is fixedly connected to the mat 4.
  • the diamond tools 5 are glued with special adhesive.
  • the entire unit consisting of support 12, membrane 11, mat 10 and diamond tools 5 can be connected to the base plate 3 via the detachable connecting element 10. If the carrier 12 and the membrane 11 are dispensed with, the mat 4 with the hook and loop fastener 14 and the glued-on diamond tools 5 forms a unit which is detachably fastened on the base plate 3 by means of a connecting element 10. This arrangement is quite sufficient for simple applications and tools.
  • equipped grinding tools 1 bring the advantage that the diamond tools 5 can be changed very quickly. This is important for the grinding process, since different grains of the diamond tools 5 are used at the beginning and for the final finish of a surface. Regardless of the grain and property of the diamond tools 5, the construction of the tool with base plate 3, connecting element 10 and mat 4 on which the diamond tools 5 offers the possibility that each diamond tool 5 automatically adapts to the respective situation in voids, joints and slightly uneven surfaces. If, as shown in FIG. 2, a carrier 12 is used, then the hook and loop 14 of the connecting element 10 is firmly connected to the carrier 12.
  • the carrier 12 is for example made of impact-resistant plastic or hard rubber.
  • FIG. 3 it is therefore shown how a base plate 3 with a plurality of such units, called grinding inserts 20, can be equipped.
  • These grinding inserts consist of connecting element 10 ', carrier 12', membrane 11 ', mat 4' and diamond tool 5, 5 '.
  • recesses are provided in the base plate 3 in which the cams 21 of the grinding inserts 20 (FIGS. 4 to 7) are received.
  • the grinding inserts 20 are so clearly positioned on the base plate 3 and can be replaced individually. In this way, grinding inserts 20 with diamond tools 5 different grain size or Grinding inserts 20 are used with hard mat 4. Especially with heavily damaged natural stone floors, it is advisable to work with diamond tools that are attached to a solid or at least hard-elastic base.
  • the use of the soft mat 4 proves to be a disadvantage.
  • the diamond tools 5 follow every unevenness of the ground, but can not grind all areas at really big height differences.
  • harder substrates are used for the diamond tools 5 and fastened to, for example, the membrane 11 or even directly to the base plate 3.
  • the flexibility of the presented grinding tool makes this possible.
  • Diamond tool 5 'as shown in Figure 6 and Figure 7 with a plastic cap 32 are provided.
  • a mixture of fingers 31 can be used with different diamond tools 5 in a multiple carrier 30.
  • the structure of this device is slightly different from that presented above, but always the same is the basic principle after the diamond tool 5 is glued directly or indirectly on a flexible and elastic pad in this idea on a mat 4.
  • the multiple carrier 30 has in the provided for receiving the fingers 31 openings as shown in Figure 10, a mat 4 'and a connecting element 10' on. With this connecting element 10 ', the finger 31 is detachably connected to the multiple carrier 30.
  • the opening of the multi-carrier 30 is chosen so large that the fingers 31 can move on the mat 10 'in a certain range.
  • the fingers 31 are provided with a plastic attachment 32 grosserer height. This attachment may comprise the diamond tool 5 as shown in FIG. 6, or the diamond tool 5 may be fixedly connected to the plastic attachment 32 as shown in FIG. 4 and in FIG.
  • Certain diamond tools 5 must be particularly hard and are therefore brittle. Since the fingers 31 have a certain height, and the plastic cap 32 is easily tinted, the user can quickly recognize with this method by appropriate coloring, which grain of the diamond tool 5 he uses. This facilitates the rapid change of the diamond tools 5.
  • the connecting element 10, 10 ' may be as mentioned above a hook and loop fastener (Figll).
  • the base 13 will normally be fastened to the base plate 3 and make the textile hook and loop 14 on the mat 4, on the carrier 12, 12 'or on the multiple carrier 30.
  • the plastic attachments 32 of the fingers 31 are provided with the Velcro 14 and on the mat 4 'which is connected to the multi-carrier 30, the base 13 is made firm.
  • this arrangement is not important. Certain operations may favor the arrangement in reverse.
  • a very big advantage of the tools produced and designed in this way is the possibility of their use. While conventional tools can normally only be used for so-called "wet grinding", the tool presented here can also be used for so-called “dry grinding”. With the corresponding suction devices dry grinding offers the possibility of different grinding patterns, which is of great advantage for the restored beauty of a stone floor.
