Abstract

L'invention concerne un acier de construction léger déformable, résistant à la fragilisation due à l'hydrogène et à propriétés TRIP et TWIP. Cet acier de construction contient les constituants suivants en pourcentages en poids : C 0,05 à <= 1,0, Al 0,0 à <= 11,0, Si 0,0 à <= 6,0, Al + Si > 0,05, Mn 9,0 à <= 25,0 et H < 20 ppm, le reste étant constitué de fer et des éléments indésirables habituels de l'acier, des phases différentes étant présentes en fonction de la composition de l'alliage. L'acier selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'on associe une teneur plus élevée en C à une teneur plus faible en Mn et une teneur plus faible en C à une teneur plus élevée en Mn, les paires de valeurs C-Mn se situant, dans un système de coordonnées C-Mn, approximativement sur une ligne de jonction droite qui est distante de la ligne de jonction des paires de valeurs C-Mn en équilibre entre les phases austénite et martensite.
