Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device and a method for cleaning substantially flat surfaces, in particular windows, according to the preambles of claims 1 and 6.
- Such a device is already out of the DE-GM 298 05 169.9 known.
- the wiper block is impregnated with a cleaning liquid and the device is then guided under constant contact pressure over the surface to be cleaned.
- the dirt located on the surface is dissolved by the cleaning liquid and the remaining on the surface to be cleaned soiled cleaning liquid removed by the arranged behind the wiper block wiper blade.
- the invention is based on the object to provide an improved cleaning device, which cleans both the sealing areas of window frames without hesitation, as well as a reliable guidance of the wiper blade, in particular the leading edge of the wiper blade, guaranteed, without depending on the state of motion of the user or the contact pressure.
- the device or the method according to the present invention for cleaning substantially flat surfaces is characterized in that the device is equipped with a housing having on one side a wiper blade and a wiper block for simultaneous application to the surface to be cleaned and with side panels equipped, the side between the space to be cleaned, the housing, the wiper blade and the wiper block.
- the housing covers the wiper blade according to the present invention up to its front edge, in which it forms a leading edge which presses the wiper blade over its entire length against the surface to be cleaned.
- the leading edge of the housing ends exactly at the front edge of the wiper blade, so that when pressing the wiper blade to the surface to be cleaned, the leading edge of the wiper blade between the surface and leading edge of the housing is clamped with a predeterminable pressure and angle.
- the lateral side panels cover the housing laterally to the front leading edge, so that the entire space between the housing and the surface when pressing the device is completed and so that regardless of the user, i. regardless of the grip position, a predeterminable angle of the wiper blade is set to the surface.
- both the leadership and the setting the angle is independent of excessive contact pressure and the body or grip of the user.
- the optimal contact angle of the front edge of the wiper blade is thus preset and independent of the user, so that even laymen can clean window surfaces without streaks.
- the wiper blade is preferably made of rubber, PVC, rubber or silicone, whereby the materials silicone and rubber provide the best wiping results. These materials were not or only badly used in the prior art because they are relatively soft and a very targeted contact pressure is required to set a certain angle, which achieves the best wiping results for silicone or rubber wiper blades. However, this exact angle adjustment is not possible in the prior art, since often often the wiper blade deflects too much in the case of very soft materials and swells or sets incorrectly, so that streaks again occur. In the present invention, however, silicone or rubber wiper blades can preferably be used, since the optimum contact angle of the front edge of the wiper blade is ensured by the leading edge of the housing.
- Preferred contact angles are between 1 ° and 90 ° degrees, more preferably between 5 ° and 45 ° degrees, most preferably between 5 ° and 15 ° degrees.
- the Schor hardness of the preferred silicone used is preferably 50-85, more preferably between 60 and 65.
- the wiper blade has a thickening on the side opposite the wiping side in order to prevent it from slipping out of the holder or out of a clamping rail.
- the sponge used is preferably made of a laminated synthetic fiber, preferably of a microfiber or superabsorbent materials.
- the cleaning device illustrated above the surface 7 to be cleaned comprises a housing 1, preferably of a plastic injection-molded part with a handle 2 fastened thereto, preferably as a joint 2.
- a wiper block 3 of absorbent material is provided on the side facing the surface 7 to be cleaned.
- foam or sponge which may be provided with a fabric cover disposed.
- a wiper blade 4 is provided at a distance from the wiper block 3 and parallel thereto and also on the side facing the surface to be cleaned in the housing 1.
- This wiper blade 4 is made of an elastic material, for example rubber or PVC.
- the wiper blade is interchangeably clamped in the housing 1.
- the housing 1 with its housing projection 9 covers the wiper blade 4 substantially up to its front edge 8.
- the guide edge 6 of the housing projection 9 in use presses the wiper blade 4 over its entire length against the surface 7 to be cleaned.
- the cleaning device is further provided on both sides of the housing 1 between the rear in the wiping direction of the wiper block 3 and the longitudinal ends of the wiper blade 4 with side panels 5, 5 ', which are preferably parallel to the surface to be cleaned 7 and preferably in one piece with the housing consist.
- the lower edges of the side panels 5, 5 should be made as smooth as possible in order to allow easy sliding on the surface 7 to be cleaned.
- the wiper blade 4 is advantageously longer than the wiper block 3.
- the wiper block 3 widens advantageously trapezoidal in the wiping direction. However, it can also be rectangular or rounded.
- the wiper blade 4 arranged behind the wiper block 3 removes the remaining liquid film together with foam and dirt residues.
- the front edge 8 of the wiper blade 4 is pressed in this case over its entire length against the surface to be cleaned. This ensures that the foam and the soiled liquid are completely pushed in front of the wiper blade and removed.
- the wiper blade 4 If the cleaning process takes place in the region of a seal of a glazing, pressure is exerted on the outer edge of the wiper blade 4, which attempts to lift the wiper blade 4 from the surface 7 to be cleaned there.
- the leading edge 6 of the housing approach 9 effectively prevents this by pressing the wiper blade 4 against the surface 7 to be cleaned over its entire length. This can be removed completely along the seals remaining foam and water.
- the leading edge 6 also prevents the wiper blade 4 is lifted by harder dirt on the window and thereby result in streaks. Instead, the wiper blade removes the stubborn dirt by the reliable contact pressure of the leading edge 6.
- the side panels 5, 5 ' are extended in the front area along the housing extension up to the leading edge 6 by aperture extensions 5a, 5a', so that the entire housing 1 is sealed against the glazing and no water or foam can escape laterally.
- the wiper blade 4 is fixed by means of a clamping rail 10 on the housing 1, wherein the clamping rail 10 is releasably secured to replace the wiper blade 4.
- the wiper blade 4 preferably has V-shaped notches at the ends, which form defined front edges 8 of the wiper blade 4, so that each wiper blade 4 can preferably be used four times until it has to be exchanged.
- the clamping rail 10 also serves to return the water or the foam, which accumulates at the front edge 8 of the wiper blade 4 and which is returned by the clamping rail 10 to the wiper block 3 and sucked up there again.
- the cleaning liquid thus runs in a circle from the wiper block 3 to the surface to be cleaned, is there withdrawn from the front edge 8 of the wiper blade 4 and pressed back into the wiper block 3, since it can not escape laterally through the side panels 5, 5 '.
- the side panels 5, 5 'and extensions 5a, 5a' ensure that the housing 1 rests firmly with the wiper blade 4 on the surface to be cleaned, wherein the leading edge 6 of the housing projection 9 ensures that the wiper blade 4 in operation only until bends to a predetermined angle and remains through the leading edge 6 at this angle during the cleaning process.
- the wiper blade 4 assumes at the front edge 8 an acute angle ⁇ of about 1 ° to 90 ° degrees, preferably 5 ° to 15 ° degrees relative to the surface to be cleaned.
- the handle 2 is rotatably mounted via a hinge 11 on a handle holder 12 of the housing 1, so that the handle 2 can be raised to a predetermined angle ⁇ , without the angle of the housing 1 opposite the area 7 changed.
- a predetermined angle ⁇ is adjustable via a stop within the handle holder 12.
