Definitions
- Overflow channels are often arranged in the edge area of a swimming pool, where they serve to accommodate the - usually when using the pool - passing over the edge of the pool water.
- the water taken up by an overflow channel is first fed via lines to a collecting tank (surge tank). With a certain amount of water in the reservoir, a filter system turns on, by means of which the water is purified before it is returned to the pool.
- the collecting container is necessary insofar as it can not be ensured by the overflow channel that the activated filter system is always supplied with a sufficient amount of water.
- the installation of a collecting tank upstream of the filter system is also cost-intensive, moreover, there must be space for installation.
- Object of the present invention is to provide a device which allows a combination of the beneficial effects of both systems and also easy and inexpensive to manufacture.
- the component for connecting an overflow channel to a drainage pipe, via which directly or indirectly into the overflow water penetrating water is fed to a filter a Skimmergephaseuse in which a water drainage regulating floating body is arranged.
- the floating body is designed as a ring with a tubular extension and can be inserted into the lower housing part.
- the float or parts of the float are made of a material that has a lower specific gravity than water and thus is able to float on the water surface.
- the lower housing part is at least partially double-walled.
- the guide is designed such that the float can rise and fall according to the respective water level. The guided in the lower housing part tubular extension of the float prevents it, that the water can pass from the overflow channel to the water outlet opening.
- a catcher is arranged as a pre-filter in the lower housing part. In the water floating fibers, hair and other coarse impurities are thus filtered out by the catcher already. For cleaning purposes, the catcher as well as the float from the lower housing part can be removed.
- FIG. 1 shows a section through a built-in inventive component.
- Fig. 3 is a section corresponding to FIG. 1 with an unloaded
- the lower housing part of the skimmer housing 1 is cylindrical in the present example.
- a water outlet opening is provided centrally around which a nozzle is formed, which is attached to the pipe socket of a water-discharging line 7.
- the side walls of the lower housing part are double-walled up to a certain height, wherein the inner side wall 5 at the upper end has an annular shoulder on which the collar edge of a collecting basket 4 rests.
- the catcher 4 is if necessary - for example, for the purpose of emptying and / or cleaning - removable by the cover 9 of the upper housing part is removed.
- the non-double-walled area of the lower housing part and the space between the side walls take up the floating body 3.
- This has a likewise cylindrical basic shape, wherein on a ring of a buoyant material, a tubular body is attached, which in the
- Fig. 1 Side wall gap of the lower housing part is guided.
- the guide allows a rise and fall of the float 3 depending on the respective water level.
- Fig. 1 the position of the float is indicated at an empty overflow channel.
- two other positions are indicated, among others. the position at maximum water level.
- the cover 9 has openings through which accumulating surface water or water spray in the Skimmergeophuse 1 and thus also the filter unit can be supplied.
- the openings in the cover 9 also help to form the surface slip-resistant. What is a common requirement in wet areas. This effect can be enhanced by a profiling of the surface, for example by the formation of grooves and / or webs.
- the cover 9 forms an inspection opening in order to reach the internal components of the component, such as floating body 3 and catching basket 4.
- 3 and 4 illustrate the operation of a component according to the invention.
- Fig. 3 the position of the float at a mean water level in the overflow troughs 2 is shown. Due to its low specific weight, the upper ring of the float 3 is slightly above the water surface (height + H1). At the attached to the ring tubular body of the float 3, the water of the overflow troughs 2. Only when the water in the overflow troughs 2 in motion, for example, when using the pool by passing over the pool edge or sloshing water that can in the overflow troughs 2 run water briefly over the ring of the float 3 and thereby burden him so that it is depressed (see Fig. 4, height -H2).
