Abstract

Ein Brenner für den Einsatz in einem Gaskochfeld weist eine Zuleitung (2) für ein Gemisch (1) aus Brenngas und Verbrennungsluft auf und eine nachfolgende, offene Verbrennungszone (8) für das Gemisch. Zwischen der Gaszuleitung und der Verbrennungszone (8) ist ein katalytisch aktiver, gasdurchlässiger Körper (3) angeordnet, durch den das Gemisch zu der Verbrennungszone (8) strömt. Der Körper (3) ist ausgebildet zur teilweisen Verbrennung des Gemischs darin in einer ersten Verbrennungsstufe. Er weist seitliche Austritte (7) auf, an die sich die offene Verbrennungszone (8) anschließt, wobei sich das noch nicht vollständig verbrannte Gemisch in der offene Verbrennungszone (8) mit Sekundärluft (9) vermischt und in einer zweiten Verbrennungsstufe verbrennt.
