Definitions

  • the invention relates to a switching device, in particular for bicycle gearshifts, with a fastening device for mounting the switching device to a handlebar or the like steering device and with a lever for manual operation.
  • Bicycles or other powered by muscle power vehicles often have at least one gear shift, which is controlled by a switching device.
  • Known switching devices have, for example, a shift lever for upshifting and a second shift lever for downshifting.
  • at least one finger must be more or less released from the handlebars, whereby the handle is loosened around the handlebars.
  • the driver no longer has full control over the bike, which can be problematic, especially in the field.
  • Another known switching device provides a shift lever, which can be operated only in one direction and the Switching direction over the length of the switching path is defined.
  • it is difficult to find the limit between upshifts and downshifts, especially on uneven routes, so that a connection can not be excluded.
  • This object is achieved in that a single shift lever is provided for both switching directions, that the shift lever is pivotally mounted about two different axes and each pivot axis is assigned a switching direction.
  • the shift lever is arranged so that the handle does not have to be loosened around the handlebar when switching. This results in better control over the bicycle and greater driving safety.
  • the shift lever is arranged so that it is arranged in the direction of travel on the handlebar and a switching direction with the thumb and the other switching direction can be operated with the index finger.
  • This can be kept enclosed when switching the handlebars.
  • it is possible to brake when switching, since at least in modern hydraulic disc brakes with a finger sufficient brake pressure can be applied.
  • it is possible in any driving situation to retain control and make safe gear changes.
  • the shifter preferably with your thumb and forefinger is operable, the lever can also be operated with other than the intended fingers or even with just one finger.
  • the switching directions are clearly defined and virtually impossible interconnection. It is particularly expedient if the two pivot axes are arranged at an angle to each other, preferably substantially perpendicular to each other, as it corresponds to the anatomical arrangement of the thumb and forefinger.

  • the cable 9 acting on the toothed disk 7 is taut and the gear shift is moved into a different gear.
  • the shift lever 10 springs back to its original position.
  • the toothed disc 7 also turns back so far until the housing cam 19 engages the next tooth 8 and blocks the backward movement.
  • the shift lever cam 13 resiliently gives way to the teeth 8.
  • the shift lever 10 is then again m the starting position, as shown m Fig. 7, but the toothed disc 7 is further rotated by a tooth 8. It is expedient if the tooth spacings are adapted to the switching path of the controlled gearshift.
  • the shift lever 10 is now reset when released by its own return spring to its original position.
  • the housing cam 19 is again rotated in a Eingriffläge on the toothed disc 7.
  • the shift lever cam 20 lifts out of engagement of the toothed disk 7, so that it is rotated back by the cable 9 to the stop on the housing cam 19.
  • the switching process is therefore divided into two phases and is completed only when you release the shift lever 10.
