Abstract

Offenbart wird ein Sicherheitselement (3) für einen Datenträger (1), umfassend ein transparentes oder transluzentes Substrat (4) mit einer Vorder- und einer Rückseite, eine auf der Vorderseite angeordnete, optisch variable Vorderseitenschicht (5) und eine auf der Rückseite angeordnete, optisch variable Rückseitenschicht (6), wobei die Vorderseitenschicht und die Rückseitenschicht in einem Überlappungsbereich überlappend angeordnet sind und innerhalb des Überlappungsbereichs zumindest eine Strukturierung (9,10,11) in Form einer Veränderung oder einer Aussparung in der optisch variablen Vorderseiten- und/ oder der optisch variablen Rückseitenschicht ausgebildet ist.
