Definitions

  • the invention relates to a Verhegelungsmechanismus for a housing with a lid, in particular a luggage box, with at least two locks, which are each connected by means of a transmission element with a push button.
  • the invention also relates to a lock for such a locking mechanism with a locking bolt device, the at least one
  • Locking bolt carries, with a latch having at least one pivotable about a pivot axis locking hook for detecting the locking bolt for locking the lock, of the elements housing and cover the one locking bolt means and the other receives the case or carries, and with a manually operable drive means for Swiveling away the closing hook of the locking pin for unlocking the lock, wherein the locking pin device carries two locking pins, wherein the case has two each pivotable about a pivot axis locking hook and wherein the drive means is designed for common pivoting of the locking hooks.
  • the primary function of such a lock in use with an aircraft is to securely lock and unlock the lid or luggage tub or chute of a luggage box in all flight conditions, including emergency landing conditions.
  • the drive means within the lock is connected by a mechanical link to a push button or handle mounted on the lid so as to be operable from outside the luggage box.
  • the operation of the knob or handle leads in the known lock to a rotational movement of the mechanical link, through which the lock is unlocked.
  • the lock is designed so that inadvertent opening in the loaded or unloaded state of the luggage box is prevented.
  • the latch of the lock has a fail-safe function. This purpose serves a double lock.
  • This double locking is done in the known lock on the one hand by a locking pin, which is detected by a locking hook, and on the other by a locking pin which protrudes from the case when the lid of the luggage box is open, but at the closing of the lid of the luggage box by the locking bolt means is pressed into the housing of the trap.
  • Both the locking pin and the locking pin are each capable of carrying the required loads.
  • the locking bolt device is adjustable in two axes.
  • the locking pin also serves as a stop for an end stop. This has the disadvantage that with each adjustment of the locking bolt device and the stop of Endstops adjusted and must be readjusted.
  • the opening of the lock takes place by pulling the operating handle. But since there is no transmission between the operating handle and the shaft, a higher operating force is required.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an advantageous alternative to each of the aforementioned locking mechanism and the aforementioned lock. This object is achieved in a locking mechanism of the type mentioned in the present invention, that between each lock and the push button a freewheel is mounted, in cooperation with the
  • Lock holds the push button in the depressed position, as long as not every lock associated with the housing is in the correctly locked position.
  • one of the locking hooks is associated with a stopper, which is designed and arranged so that it locks the drive device in its fully open position lock, but releases the drive device during the closing process as soon as the locking hooks assume a position suitable for locking relative to the locking bolts.
  • the lock according to the invention is like the lock according to the older proposal of the applicant unlocked by a cable which is invisible within the lid (luggage tub or - commonlye) or laid inside the container.
  • a lightweight cable brings with it a weight advantage. Installation is uncomplicated, because cables can be mounted much cheaper than shafts and levers made of GRP. In addition to the lower weight and lower assembly costs even lower component costs are added.
  • the main advantage of the locking mechanism and the lock according to the invention is that the locking mechanism is designed so that a not fully latched trap is visually perceptible, for example, based on the position of the pushbutton used to unlock the lock. If the luggage-receiving lid of a luggage box of an aircraft, which is provided at its ends in each case with a lock of the type mentioned above, is warped, so that only one latch completely engages, it is visible from the outside, because then the lid is not flush closes. Since this state of a lock locked only on one side is no longer permissible and a start of the aircraft is prohibited, the locking mechanism and the lock according to the invention prevent such a state, in the push button is held in the depressed position until the
  • Locks are fully engaged at both ends of the luggage box.
  • the pushbutton is kept pressed by the locking mechanism in at least one of the locks of the container.
  • the freewheel mechanism decouples the two locks of the container, which are connected by cables with the push button, thus allowing a one-sided closing.
  • the push button remains locked until both locks are fully engaged.
  • This design of the locking mechanism allows a separate query of the existing locks on the container.
  • the push-button by its depressed position, indicates at least one unlocked lock until all locks of the container are fully locked.
  • the basic idea of the present invention is the provision of a one-piece pushbutton. If a luggage box on one side is not fully locked, the push button is in the depressed position. This is achieved by the freewheel.
  • the pushbutton may only be in the non-pressed position if both locks of the luggage box are locked. Only when both locks are locked, the drive means is in the one position in which the push button can go to the non-pressed position. If only one lock is locked, the freewheel comes into play so that the push button is only in the non-pressed position when both locks are locked.
  • the pushbutton thus provides a binary code. It indicates by Yes / No or pressed / not pressed whether both locks of a luggage box are completely locked / unlocked.
  • the locking mechanism of each lock is provided with a stopper which engages in the open state of the lock in connected to the transmission element parts and fixes these parts in position. enable light becomes apparent in the locking mechanism and lock of the invention by the provision of freewheel and stoppers which cooperate to hold the pushbutton in the depressed position unless each lock associated with the housing or luggage box is in the properly locked position.
  • each freewheel positively or non-positively couples the transmission element connected to the pushbutton to the lock when each lock is correctly locked, and in all other cases interrupts the positive or non-positive coupling of the lock with the transmission element ,
  • Two locks are associated with a luggage box and the lid is closed so that only one lock is locked, the other lock but remains open, the locking mechanism of the locked lock has the necessary freedom to move, although the transmission elements, with the same Pushbutton are connected, with one-sided locking a luggage box can not move.
  • the drive means comprises a rack, which is displaceable by manual operation against the pressure of a spring element and in which a recess for receiving one end of the stopper is formed.
  • the locking hooks are connected to the rack in each case by a knee lever which is hinged to the locking hook next to the pivot axis so that the locking position can only be opened by tensile force on the articulation point of the toggle lever on the locking hook again , And the stopper is slidably mounted on the pivot axis of the one toggle lever.
  • the stopper is associated with a compression spring, so that the rack is spring-loaded releasably locked by the stopper in its open position.
  • the drive device can be actuated by the transmission element.
  • arranged between the drive means of the lock and the push button transmission element is associated with a freewheel which positively and positively locks the transmission element with the lock with locked and unlocked lock, but the positive or non-positive coupling of the lock with the transmission element interrupts, if not every other associated with the push button lock is locked correctly when locking the lock.
  • the purpose is, as in the embodiment explained above, to allow the operation of the locking mechanism in one-sided locking of a luggage box, although the associated transmission elements, which are connected to the same push button, can not move.
  • a further embodiment of the lock according to the invention is its use in a housing or a luggage box whose lid is movable about a rotation axis.

In an aircraft cabin, the luggage box thus remains closed, even if the passenger has locked it only on one side. The cabin crew has but the possibility of recognizing at the position of the pushbutton that the lock is not correct, because despite closed luggage box, the pushbutton is still in its depressed position.
