Abstract

Les vêtements (13) humides ou humidifiés sont séchés et défroissés dans des tunnels de finition (10), en étant suspendus à des cintres de transport (16). Il s'agit de la "finition". Jusqu'à présent, le séchage est effectué avec de l'air, principalement de l'air chaud. Selon l'invention, les vêtements (13) sont séchés par rayons infrarouge. Ce type de séchage s'est avéré particulièrement efficace et doux. Selon l'invention, pour une meilleure efficacité de séchage, le taux de séchage des vêtements (13) est déterminé en continu. Ceci est effectué de préférence par l'intermédiaire de caméras à infrarouge. Il est possible d'influer sur la commande du tunnel de finition (10) et d'obtenir ainsi un résultat de séchage optimal. Il est également possible, après le séchage par exposition à des rayons plasma, d'activer des substances d'apprêtage conférant, par exemple, un effet anti-salissure au vêtement (13) fini.
