Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Verpackungsmaschine für Tabakartikel, insbesondere Zigaretten, mit einer von einem Servomotor antreibbaren Bobine (20) mit darauf aufgewickelter Materialbahn (21), bei dem zur Bestimmung des Durchmessers der Bobine (20)
a) die Bobine (20) gezielt (positiv oder negativ) beschleunigt wird,
b) in der Beschleunigungsphase der Motorstrom des Servomotors gemessen wird, und
c) die in der Beschleunigungsphase gemessenen Stromwerte ausgewertet werden.
