Definitions

  • the invention relates to a package in the form of a blister for pharmaceutical products, and more particularly to a tablet package comprising a plastic film molding and a cover sheet provided with a semi-transparent functional layer.
  • a blister or a visual packaging is meant a product packaging that allows the potential buyer to visually perceive the packaged item or at least to guess the shape of the object.
  • the object is thereby fixed by a sealed with a cover plastic molding.
  • the cover is usually made of aluminum.
  • a tablet pack or tablet blister is also called blister pack.
  • the arrangement of the tablets in individual wells or cavities of the plastic molded part, which is sealed by the aluminum foil, is hygienically advantageous because unwanted influences such as high humidity or dirt are excluded.
  • the EP 1876 033 A1 describes a packaging material, in particular for the pharmaceutical sector, which has a metallic carrier substrate with a line grid printed in two different visually recognizable colors.
  • the WO 2006/056216 A1 describes a packaging material for the pharmaceutical sector, wherein applied on both sides of a carrier substrate which can be used as cover film Patterns of different color in each case in reflected light and transmitted light can be seen.
  • the present invention is based on the general object of making the packaging known in the prior art more customer-friendly. Furthermore, the present invention is the preferred object to increase the security against forgery of the packaging of the prior art.
  • the invention comprises a packaging with the features of claim 1.
  • the plastic film molding has e.g. one or more cavities or cavities, wherein the cavities for receiving objects to be packaged, e.g.
  • Tablets are suitable.
  • the plastic film molding is sealed by the cover.
  • Plastic film molding e.g. Materials such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride), PP (polypropylene), PS (polystyrene), COC (cycloolefin copolymer) and PET (polyester) are suitable.
  • PVC polyvinyl chloride
  • PVDC polyvinylidene chloride
  • PP polypropylene
  • PS polystyrene
  • COC cycloolefin copolymer
  • PET polyester
  • the cover film may in particular have a heat-sealing lacquer (or heat-sealable binder), which is optionally arranged on the cover film by means of a hot-seal lacquer primer (or adhesion promoter).
  • a heat-sealing lacquer or heat-sealable binder
  • a hot-seal lacquer primer or adhesion promoter
  • heat-seal coating is also used herein.
  • the covering film may have, in particular, visually recognizable markings in the form of patterns, characters or a coding which are obtainable by irradiation with laser radiation.
  • the visually recognizable markings are generated in the semitransparent functional layer, in particular in the form of transparent markings, which are visible to the observer both in incident light and in transmitted light.
  • An observation in reflected light in the sense of this invention is a lighting of the respective object from one side and a viewing of the object from the same side.
  • a reflection in incident light is thus present, for example, when the back of the packaging is illuminated and also viewed.
  • a reflection in the transmitted light in the sense of this invention is an illumination of the respective object from one side and a viewing of the object from the opposite side.
  • a reflection in transmitted light is thus, for example, when the front of the package illuminated and the back of the package is considered. The light thus appears at least partially through the package.
  • the packaging according to the invention is characterized in that it has a semitransparent cover film with a color change when viewed in reflected light (reflection) on the one hand and when viewed in transmitted light (transmission) on the other. Since a e.g. in a cavity of the plastic molding of the package, e.g. a tablet, the light transmission decreases, the viewer perceives the article when viewing the packaging with a view of the cover in the transmitted light substantially in the reflection color of the cover. The area of the cover film outside the object appears to the viewer in the transmission color of the cover film.
  • the rapid and uncomplicated finding of the article contained in the package is particularly advantageous in the case of a pharmaceutical product such as a tablet, e.g. as a life-saving immediate measure or in case of a consciousness disturbance of the consumer due to the influence of alcohol, illness or shock.
  • the tablet packaging according to the invention is particularly advantageous because of their increased security against forgery, since semitransparent cover films are relatively difficult to access with color change when viewed in incident light on the one hand and when viewed in transmitted light on the other hand for the counterfeiter.
  • the cover film may further be equipped with RFID antennas or RFID tags.
  • the covering film can be designed such that its mechanical and / or optical state as a result of the oxidative processes or due to the influence of moisture, serves as a proof of durability to the consumer.
  • the semitransparent functional layer contains a metal that changes optically due to the influence of oxygen and / or moisture.
  • the cover film may in particular have a heat seal coating, for example a heat seal binder (also called heat seal lacquer), which is arranged on the cover film by means of an optional adhesion promoter (also referred to herein as heat seal lacquer primer).
  • a heat seal binder also called heat seal lacquer
  • an optional adhesion promoter also referred to herein as heat seal lacquer primer
  • a combination of a PVC-based adhesion promoter and the heat sealable binder commercially available from Evonik under the trade name "DEGALAN® P24" is suitable for drug blister packaging.
  • heat sealable bead polymers commercially available from Evonik offers heat-sealable binders under the trade name "DEGALAN® VP P34", for which a previous primer with an adhesion promoter is not required.
  • the cover sheet may e.g. have a thickness in the range of 5 microns to 100 microns, preferably from 5 microns to 60 microns, more preferably in the range of 10 microns to 30 microns, most preferably in the range of 15 microns to 25 microns.
  • Materials such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride), PP (polypropylene), PS (polystyrene), COC (cycloolefin copolymer) and PET (polyester) are suitable.
  • the shaping can be done by means of thermoforming technology.
  • the cover film is based on a transparent or semitransparent carrier substrate provided with the semitransparent functional layer.
  • the semitransparent functional layer has different hues when viewed in reflected light on the one hand and when viewed in transmitted light on the other hand.
  • the two different shades are, for example, complementary colors.
  • Such a semitransparent functional layer is based, for example, on a multilayer structure with two semitransparent metallic layers and a dielectric layer arranged between the two semitransparent metallic layers.
  • Such a multi-layered structure which appears golden when viewed in reflected light and shows a blue hue when viewed in transmitted light, is for example from the WO 2011/082761 A1 known.
  • the above color coding allows the consumer, in the case of a disturbance of consciousness, e.g. to avoid the accidental use of tablets for stomach pain instead of headache tablets.
  • a semitransparent functional layer which has different shades when viewed in reflected light on the one hand and when viewed in transmitted light on the other hand, can also be based on an effect pigment composition.
  • Printed layers based on an effect pigment composition which, when viewed in incident light, show a different color than when viewed in transmitted light, in particular a gold / blue color change, a gold / violet color change, a green / gold / magenta color change, a Violet / green color change or a silver / opaque color change, are eg in the WO 2011/064162 A2 described.
  • the pigments preferably have a longest dimension of edge length from end-to-end in a range of 15 nm to 1000 nm and are based on a transition metal selected from the group consisting of Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Cd, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir and Pt.
  • the transition metal is preferably Ag.
  • the aspect ratio (ie the ratio of the longest dimension from end to end relative to the thickness) is preferably at least 1.5, in particular in a range from 1.5 to 300.
  • the ratio of the binder to metal pigment is preferably below 10: 1, in particular below 5: 1.
  • the color can be tuned to the print layer in transmission and the color when viewed in reflection (eg, blue in transmission and silver, gold, bronze, copper, or Violet in reflection, in addition violet, magenta, pink, green or brown in transmission and different colors in reflection, which depend on the choice of pigment / binder ratio).
  • Colors with gold / blue color change between reflection and transmission are, for example, in Examples 1, 2 and 3 in Table 1 of FIG WO 2011/064162 A2 called.
  • Example 4 shows a color with gold / violet color change, Example 5 a color with green-gold / magenta color change, Example 7 a color with violet / green color change and Example 8 a color with silver / opaque color change.
  • the above color coding allows the consumer, in the case of a disturbance of consciousness, e.g. to avoid the accidental use of tablets for stomach pain instead of headache tablets.
  • the order of the above layers may be varied, if necessary.
  • the semitransparent functional layer may e.g. between the primer layer and the carrier substrate.
  • the cover film contains, as a supporting layer, an additional paper layer in its multilayer structure.
  • the additional paper layer gives the cover additional strength.
  • the order of the layers in the above multi-layer structure can be varied, e.g.
  • the semitransparent functional layer may be present between the paper layer and the carrier substrate.
  • the paper may be made transparent (e.g., by prior treatment with chemical reagents such as sulfuric acid).
  • the paper may be partially recessed, e.g. by punching or laser cutting. Even deckle holes or watermarks (each available, for example, by means of roundsheet paper making) may also be provided in the paper layer as additional tamper-evident means.
  • the semitransparent functional layer may e.g. be present between the opaque layer and the carrier substrate.
