Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a bathtub and/or shower tray with a base part connected to drain fittings and a wall or side element that completely surrounds the perimeter of the base part and is arranged essentially perpendicularly to the base part, the wall or side element being made up of several parts that are close together fixable, essentially ring-shaped elements, the essentially ring-shaped elements being displaceable relative to one another in the direction of a height extension of the bathtub and/or shower tray, in particular being able to be pushed in and apart, that at least one essentially ring-shaped sealing element is provided between two essentially ring-shaped elements at least one lifting and lowering mechanism articulated thereto is provided on the ring-shaped element that can be displaced furthest relative to the base part, wherein the lifting and lowering mechanism comprises at least one electrically, hydraulically or pneumatically actuated lifting cylinder, and wherein all essentially ring-shaped elements surrounding the base part Elements relative to the bottom part are displaceable at least in the direction of a vertical extension of the bathtub
  • Bathtubs and/or shower trays can be found in a wide variety of sizes, designs and depths in almost every apartment or home, with the desire of residents, especially in modern homes, to have a bathroom or several bathrooms that have both a bathtub and a also include a shower tray, can usually not be fulfilled due to the limited space available.
  • Both elements, the bathtub and the shower tray have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, it is easy for elderly and disabled people to climb into a shower tray to take a shower, on the other hand, full-body cleaning, especially with restricted mobility or even with children, is more convenient and easier in a bathtub, which, however, is difficult to get in and out of due to the edge or the edge Its height is hardly possible without aids, especially for disabled people.
  • bathtubs In order to make it possible for elderly or disabled people to easily get into a deep bathtub, bathtubs have already been provided with manholes or doors, into which the user can easily get in and out.
  • the disadvantage of such bathtubs is still the fact that such a deep element as a conventional bathtub is not required for a shower and, on the other hand, only mobile people or children can sit down in an easily accessible shower tray, so that they are at least partially in sit in the water.
  • AT-PS 13400 shows a collapsible bathtub which, in its assembled state, in which the tub has a certain depth, is suspended so that a seal can be achieved between the individual elements.
  • CH-PS 52381 shows a further embodiment of a collapsible bathtub, which consists of a trough-shaped floor element and telescopically slidable wall elements which are held in place by means of support elements that can be clamped under the upper edge in order to prevent the individual elements from sliding into one another.
  • a bathtub can be removed, which is formed from a plurality of wall or side parts, which can be displaced relative to one another in the direction of a height extension of the bathtub.
  • a bathtub is removable with a plurality of mutually vertically displaceable ring-shaped elements, which bathtub is maintained in its maximum height extent by supporting elements and which bathtub additionally has a water displacement element arranged in its interior for saving bath water.
  • the present invention therefore aims at such a bathtub and/or shower tray which is designed in such a way that its wall or side element height and in particular its entry height can be optimally changed.
  • the base part is surrounded by a drainage channel that includes the drainage fittings and the ring-shaped elements are arranged such that they can be lowered into the drainage channel.
  • the wall or side element consists of several parts that can be fixed tightly together, is formed of essentially ring-shaped elements and the essentially ring-shaped elements can be displaced relative to one another in the direction of a height extension of the bathtub and/or shower tray, in particular can be pushed in and out, it is possible to change the height of the bathtub as desired.
  • the minimum height is the height of an essentially ring-shaped element or, in the case of retractable ring-shaped elements, a flat surface
  • the maximum height is the height of all the height extensions of the ring-shaped elements that can be reached when the ring-shaped elements are moved apart.
  • the bathtub or shower tray can also be designed so that it is sunk into the floor, so that when the essentially ring-shaped wall or side elements are retracted, they disappear completely into the floor and there is no entry height at all is.
  • the training is such that either the bathtub or shower tray is climbed down or a channel for sinking the annular wall or side elements or a double bottom is arranged so that it is arranged essentially flat and only one Gap in the ground remains visible.
  • the invention is designed in such a way that all the essentially ring-shaped elements surrounding the base part can be displaced relative to the base part at least in the direction of a height extension of the bathtub .
  • the wall or seat element surrounding the floor part can be displaced relative to the floor part at least in the direction of the height extension, but can also be lowered into the floor if the structural conditions allow, so that in particular a low entry height is made available can be, and in addition to a particularly practical and an aesthetic and beautiful to look at bathtub or shower tray can be made available. It goes without saying that there is always one element that has to be moved up or down an entire height in order to be able to ensure a secure seal between two adjacent ring-shaped elements.
  • the invention is designed in such a way that the base part is surrounded by a drainage channel which encompasses the drainage fittings and is in particular formed in one piece with the base part, and that the ring-shaped elements are arranged such that they can be lowered into the drainage channel.
  • the ring-shaped elements are designed to be retractable into the drainage channel, it is possible to provide a flush design of the bathtub and/or shower tray in the folded or retracted state with the floor of the bathroom, which not only ensures an aesthetic appearance, but in particular extremely easy access to the bathtub or shower tray is guaranteed for elderly or disabled people.
  • the wall or seat element can be extended from the floor and raised to any desired height.
  • only the bottom or innermost ring of the essentially ring-shaped elements can be extended, in which case a low wash basin can be provided, or all elements can be raised to provide a deep bathtub.
  • a seat or upholstery element that is optionally height-adjustable and is arranged at least partially inside the bathtub can be provided.
  • a seat or upholstery element which can extend in particular over the wall of the head part of the bathtub, it is ensured that any unpleasant feeling when leaning against the wall can be prevented and in particular a homogeneous surface is made available on which the user can lean on.
  • the height adjustability of this element can also be used independently of the selected height of the bathtub and/or shower tray and can, for example, be used at the same time as a pillow for the head or back or as an anti-slip floor for the bathtub and/or shower tray.
  • the lifting and lowering mechanism comprises at least one lifting cylinder or an adjusting spindle that can be actuated electrically, hydraulically or pneumatically.
  • the provision of at least one electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically operable lifting cylinder or an adjusting spindle or a plurality, in particular of two operable lifting cylinders or adjusting spindles ensures that the bathtub can be moved to the desired position without any physical force Height or depth can be adjusted.
  • the design can be such that the respective lifting and/or lowering mechanism acts on the retaining lugs or bearing surfaces provided in the uppermost, essentially ring-shaped wall or side element and, by engaging in the corresponding retaining lugs or bearing surfaces, the entire wall or raises or lowers the side element and thus provides the desired depth of the bathtub and/or shower tray.
  • the design is further such that at least one essentially annular sealing element is provided between two essentially annular elements, it is possible to create an essentially uniform surface for the interior of the bathtub, which is free of corners and edges to avoid an uncomfortable To prevent feeling when leaning against the wall of the bathtub and / or shower tray and at the same time prevent water from escaping from the tub with certainty.
  • the design is also designed in such a way that at least one lifting or lowering mechanism is articulated at least on the ring-shaped element that can be moved furthest relative to the base part, the height of the essentially ring-shaped elements of the bathtub and/or shower tray can be adjusted by means of a lifting and lowering mechanism and it can thus be achieved a uniform and continuous height adjustment of the bathtub or shower tray, regardless of any physical force.
  • care must be taken to ensure that the bathtub is provided with wall and side elements arranged essentially perpendicularly to the floor part, since too great an angular deflection from the vertical would cause a sealing problem in the bathtub when the height is adjusted.
  • a certain inclination can be compensated for with compressible seals, but only a limited degree of inclination of the wall or side elements to the vertical is permissible.
  • the invention is developed in such a way that the essentially ring-shaped elements are designed as Z-profiles that can be engaged with one another are formed and that between engaging legs of the Z-profile sealing elements are provided.
  • the essentially ring-shaped wall and side elements are designed as interlocking Z-profiles, it is ensured on the one hand that the wall or side elements are prevented from moving too far apart, since the respective Z-shaped edges always interlock in the event of maximum vertical displacement intervene and thus prevent further displacement and on the other hand it is ensured that in the area of the interlocking legs of the Z-profiles sealing elements can be inserted, which on the one hand cannot be lost and on the other hand ensure a seal between two adjacent wall or side elements.
  • such a configuration is aesthetic and in particular the surface facing the inside of a bathtub is substantially smooth and does not have any steps.
  • the outside of the bathtub and/or shower tray can be provided with a flexible covering in order to give the bathtub or shower tray an aesthetic appearance.

  • a particularly aesthetic appearance of the bathtub and/or shower tray is achieved in that when the ring-shaped elements are sunk into the drainage channel, the drainage channel is essentially completely covered by the respective upper legs of the Z-profiles.
  • the lowering of the ring-shaped elements in the drain channel ensures that the water passes through the drain channel to the drain fitting and flows away immediately without, for example, a plug inside the base part having to be opened.
  • the corresponding drain fittings are not visible to a user, particularly when the bathtub and/or shower tray is in the folded or lowered state, which significantly increases the aesthetics of the element.
  • the water can run off over the upper edges of the essentially Z-shaped elements into the drainage channel, which leads to a further simplification of the construction.
  • the invention is essentially further developed in that the inside of the Bath and / or shower tray arranged seat or cushion element is coupled to the raising and lowering mechanism.
