Definitions

  • the invention relates to a knife.
  • a knife is known from prior public use. It includes a sharp knife blade designed to cut cutting material.
  • the knife also includes another blunt tool that protrudes beyond an outer contour of the knife body and is used, for example, for scoring adhesive tape.
  • the knife described has a blade set back with respect to an outer contour of the housing and a sheet metal tongue protruding beyond the outer contour.
  • One area of the tool head forms a flap that can be opened to loosen the sheet metal tongue or the blade.
  • the flap When the flap is open, the blade or the sheet metal tongue can be released from the respective seat and, for example, exchanged. The flap can then be closed again so that the blade and the sheet metal tongue are held between the flap and a contact surface of the tool head. Unintentional opening of the flap is prevented by means of a screw connection.
  • Further knives according to the prior art are, for. B. also from the US 6,257,106 B1 known.
  • the knife according to the invention comprises a knife body on which at least one blade with a cutting edge is mounted.
  • the cutting edge is arranged set back with respect to an outer surface of the knife body, for example.
  • An additional tool is detachably held on the knife body.
  • the tool has at least two Work areas. It can also have three or four work areas, for example.
  • the tool is provided with a holding area which can be brought into engagement in at least two relative positions with a receiving area of a tool seat of the knife body.
  • a holding area which can be brought into engagement in at least two relative positions with a receiving area of a tool seat of the knife body.
  • one of several working areas of the tool can be arranged in a working position in which it can be used by a user, while the other working area is in a stowed position.
  • the working area protrudes beyond the outer contour of the knife body in such a way that a cutting process can be carried out.
  • the working area protrudes beyond an outer surface of the knife body.
  • one of several identical or different edge geometries and / or different edge sharpnesses can be brought into a working position, for example.
  • the edge geometries and the sharpness of the edges can be optimized for certain items to be cut. If at least two work areas have scored edges with the same edge geometry and edge sharpness, e.g. after one work area is worn out, another work area can be moved into the work position which has the same separation characteristics.
  • the tool is e.g. designed as a sheet metal part. It is produced, for example, by punching and a subsequent forming process.
  • the work areas are each provided with at least one scratched edge, for example.
  • Any edge is used as a scoring edge in the context of the invention which is suitable for separating or scoring the cutting material.
  • the scoring edge is, for example, a blunt edge.
  • the work area includes, for example, at least one flat or one wave-shaped scoring edge.
  • the work area is e.g. arrowhead-shaped or semicircular.
  • Two scoring edges are arranged opposite one another with respect to a longitudinal axis of the tool, for example.
  • Two scoring edges of a work area are e.g. arranged parallel or at an acute angle to one another.
  • two scoring edges can merge into a curve that forms an end area of the tool.
  • the scoring edge is arranged, for example, in such a way that a cutting process is possible by pulling or pushing the knife when it is held by the handle. This means that a scoring edge, for example, points to the front in the longitudinal direction of the knife and a scoring edge, for example, points to the rear in the longitudinal direction.
  • two work areas are arranged opposite one another. If a work area is to be exchanged for another work area, this can be done, for example, by rotating the tool by 180 °. According to an alternative, a total of four work areas can also be provided on the tool, with two work areas facing each other. In this case, the work areas are arranged in a cross shape, for example. The work areas are arranged offset by 90 ° or 120 °, for example.
  • the work area is for example inaccessible in a receiving space of the knife body when it is in a stowed position.
  • the work area can be moved into or out of the receiving space by means of a movable carrier on which the tool is mounted.
  • all work areas can be arranged in the stowed position at the same time. If, for example, it is desired that no work area is arranged in the work position, the tool can be positioned relative to the receiving area in such a way that all work areas are in the stowed position. In this case, for example, no work area protrudes beyond the outer contour of the knife body.
  • One embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the holding area has a projection which can be brought into engagement with a recess in the receiving area in a form-fitting manner.
  • the projection has, for example, the shape of a bead or a pot-like bulge.
  • the recess has the shape of a groove, for example.
  • the tool is held in the working position between a contact surface of the tool seat and a holding surface of a cover.
  • the cover is in the form of a flap, for example.
  • the flap is e.g. pivotably mounted on a carrier.
  • the tool and the blade for example, are mounted on the carrier.
  • the tool and the blade for example, can be held between the flap and the carrier.
  • the flap is formed by a plate, for example.
  • the plate can, for example, be releasably attached to the carrier with a lock, such as screw fastening, latching, etc.
  • the tool seat is assigned, for example, to a carrier that can be moved relative to the knife body.
  • the carrier is, for example, pivotably held on the knife body.
  • the carrier can be moved in a translatory manner with respect to the knife body.
  • the carrier can be moved, for example, between a change position and an operating position. In the change position, the tool can be removed from the carrier and placed in another position can be brought relative to the carrier. For example, another work area can be brought into the work position. In the operating position, a scratching process can be carried out with a working area in the working position.
  • the other work areas are arranged in the rest position.
  • a knife as a whole is denoted by the reference numeral 10 in the figures.
  • the same reference symbols in the different figures denote corresponding parts, even if lowercase letters are added or omitted.
  • Fig. 1a a side view of the knife 10 is shown.
  • the knife 10 comprises a knife body 11 with a handle area 12, a front end area 13 and a rear end area 14.
  • the knife 10 can be held on the handle area 12.
  • a channel-like recess 15 is provided on the knife body 11. Cutting material can be guided to the cutting edge 16 of a blade 17 through the recess 15.
  • the recess 15 narrows the access to the cutting edge 16, for example in such a way that the user's fingers cannot come into contact with the cutting edge 16 via the recess 15.
  • the recess 15 is formed between opposite guide surfaces 34a and 34b of the front end region 13, the guide surface 34b being assigned to a hook-shaped extension 18 of the knife body 11.

  • a working area 23a of a tool 24a protrudes beyond the outer surface 25 of the knife body 11.
  • the working area 23a has scored edges 26a and 26b.
  • the scoring edges 26a and 26b are arranged at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis m1 of the knife body 11.
