Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pole grip, in particular for a cross-country ski pole, trekking pole, ski pole or Nordic walking pole with a fastening mechanism for a hand strap which allows the hand strap to be fixed in variable lengths, the fastening mechanism being arranged in a recess in the head area of the pole grip, as well as sticks with such a stick grip.
- Stick handles are traditionally attached to the hand of the user by attaching a hand strap in the head area of the stick grip, the user engages in this hand strap and then gripping the stick handle through this hand strap.
- it is advantageous with such hand straps if their length can be variably adjusted without having to use a tool.
- the WO 2011/113739 A1 a mechanism for adjusting the length of a hand strap by tilting a release element in the handle head.
- Such fastening mechanisms should be designed as simply as possible in order to be both cost-effective in production and not prone to failure, and at the same time they should ensure that in particular an extension of the loop is only possible if the corresponding fastening mechanism is actively released for adjustment becomes.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an improved pole grip, in particular for a cross-country ski pole, trekking pole, ski pole or Nordic walking pole, with a fastening mechanism for a hand strap which allows the hand strap to be fixed in a variable length.
- the fastening mechanism is arranged in a recess in the head area of the stick handle.
- the fastening mechanism comprises a clamping element which is mounted in the recess and is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation arranged transversely to a pole axis or pole grip axis, the recess being designed as a through opening oriented at an acute angle to the pole axis, the lower opening of which is inside or opens above a rear grip area facing the palm of the hand to the outside, and the upper opening of which opens up to the top of the stick grip.
- the clamping element has a lever area arranged essentially in the through opening through which the axis of rotation passes, and a head area protruding from the recess from the handle above, with a loop opening and a pressure surface, the latter for fixing the position by hand, in a clamping or fixing position, in which the loop length cannot be adjusted, and if necessary also for folding over into the free position where the loop straps are not clamped and the length can be adjusted.
- the loop strips are guided through the through opening, past the lever area and through a loop opening of the clamping element or past the head area and emerge with the free ends at the top of the through opening or the loop opening.
- the clamping element can be fixed in a clamping position in which the loop strips (preferably lying directly on top of one another) are clamped between the lever area and a wall of the through opening or a fixing element (preferably fastened in or on the through opening) in a non-positive and / or form-fitting manner by a Latching lug of the clamping element releasably engages behind a projection of the handle head or behind a latching projection of the fixing element.
- the latching or clamping can be released by tilting the clamping element about the axis of rotation, preferably forwards in the running direction, releasing the latching nose.
- a first preferred embodiment is characterized in that the clamping element has, in its head area, an arch area facing the hand strap and directed backwards in the running direction and the pressure surface arranged forward in the running direction, the arch area preferably encompassing the loop opening and forming it and at the front in the running direction Area of the arched area, the latching lug, preferably designed as a downwardly directed projection, which in the clamping position behind the projection of the handle head or releasably engages behind the locking projection of the fixing element.
- the arched area can have arched recesses facing the handle body on both sides, which allows the optimal bending flexibility of the locking lug to be adjusted.
- the recess can have a receiving recess, preferably a T-shaped recess with an open area facing the clamping element and two lateral extensions, in which the fixing element is attached, in the area and wall section of the inner wall facing rearward in the running direction.
- the fixing element can furthermore have a holding area which is pushed into the recess, and a latching projection for the latching nose that protrudes upward beyond the handle.
- lever area and / or the area and wall section of the inner wall of the recess facing backwards in the running direction and / or the exposed area of the holding area of the fixing element facing the clamping element has means for fixing the loop strips, preferably in the form of a shape of teeth, thorns, ribs and / or friction-reducing coating.
- the stick handle can furthermore comprise a wedge which, in the locked position, can be inserted between the lever area and a wall of the through opening with frictional engagement and / or frictional engagement and / or positive engagement, so that the clamping element can no longer be pivoted into the released position.
- the free ends of the loop strips (15) can preferably be attached to this wedge (43).
- a fixing element can be arranged in the receiving recess, the front side of which can form the counterpressure surface against which the retaining area clamps the two loop strips directly.
- the clamping element can, but does not have to be, acted upon by an elastic restoring element, in particular a spring, preferably a leaf spring or spiral spring, or an elastic region of the lever region with a restoring force, preferably braced against the inner wall.
- an elastic restoring element in particular a spring, preferably a leaf spring or spiral spring, or an elastic region of the lever region with a restoring force, preferably braced against the inner wall.
- teeth provided on the clamping element or the fixed element bite into the material of the two loops, and it is then desirable that the movement of the clamping element into the open position is supported.
- a spiral spring or leaf spring which forces the clamping element into the open position.
- the axis of rotation of the clamping element can pass through the lever area in the area of its lower end transversely to the direction of travel, the lever area preferably by more than 30%, preferably more than 40% of the length of the through opening, measured on its front inner wall Through opening protrudes from above.
- the head area can have a forwardly downward sloping bevel, the upper opening can be arranged in this bevel, and the clamping element can be at least partially accessible with the pressure surface and the arched area via the upper opening in the area of this bevel or protrude beyond this .
- this accessible area or the area protruding beyond this upper opening (10) as a pressure surface can be designed for manipulation for tilting, in particular into the clamping position.
- the handle has a recess on the underside for receiving an optionally multi-part stick pipe.
- a retaining pin which engages in the interior of an inserted pole tube, can preferably be provided in the recess, preferably formed in one piece with the handle body.
- the clamping element and / or the fixing element and / or the handle body consist of a thermoplastic material, preferably of polyamide, polyester, polyolefin, PET, or mixtures thereof, in unreinforced or glass fiber reinforced form.
- a configuration made of one material is here advantageous, which at the same time allows a simple but still holding snap into the fixing position, but on the other hand is not too rigid that it can no longer be released.
- the pressure area of the clamping element can preferably be limited to the rear in the running direction by a preferably transverse projection in order to facilitate manipulation.
- the lever area is preferably essentially aligned with the pressure area arranged above and the curved area is further preferably formed on it in the running direction towards the rear.
- the hand strap can be a simple loop, a loop that can be attached to the hand and has three separate openings for the thumb, fingers / back of the hand and wrist, or it can be a glove with loop strips attached.
- the hand strap can be a simple loop (loop tape, typically made of woven textile, in particular made of dimensionally stable plastic fabric, typically with a thickness in the range of 0.3-2 mm, and / or normally with a width in the range of 3-20 mm , preferably with a width in the range of 4-10 mm, whereby this width applies to that area which can come to lie in the fastening area, the areas in the area of the hand can also be made wider and in particular, for example, soft sewn on Have areas made of neoprene, for example).
- it can be a loop that can be attached to the hand with three separate openings for the thumb, fingers / back of the hand and wrist.
- loops are designed to be adjustable around an eyelet with a Velcro fastener.
- it can be a glove with loop strips attached to it.
- such a stick grip has a sleeve made of hard plastic, which has soft coatings in the grip area; such elements can be produced in a two-component injection molding process.
- the trigger element is preferably also made of hard plastic, wherein the above-mentioned toothing can be formed from the same material (in one piece), but can also be formed, for example, by metallic inserts or the like.
- the axis of rotation for the clamping element is typically made of metal or plastic or a combination thereof and can be opened through two corresponding opposing openings in the material of the handle head after the clamping element (and, if applicable, the fixing element) has been inserted into the recess can be inserted laterally, the openings in the handle head and an axle opening in the clamping element being passed through.
- the present invention also relates to a cross-country ski stick, trekking stick, ski stick or Nordic walking stick with a stick handle according to one of the preceding claims.
- FIG. 1 shows a stick grip 1 with the device according to the invention for variably fixing the length of a hand strap 23.
- the stick grip 1 has a grip body, on the underside of which a recess 2 for a stick pipe is formed.
- a recess 2 for a stick pipe is formed in the running direction 35 of the grip body having a front grip area 3 and a rear grip area 4, certain grip areas are made of cork for a better feel.
- the actual handle body is formed by a plastic sleeve 5 made of hard plastic.
- an opening 9 is formed above the handle area but below the head area of the handle, from which the loop strips 16 of the hand strap 23 emerge from the handle head, followed by a hand strap with three openings, one for the thumb and one for the others Fingers and one for the wrist.
- a simple loop can also be attached in this way.
- the two loop strips 16 are passed through the handle head, from below through a recess 8 which is open at the top, i. which, in addition to the lower opening 9, also has an upper opening 10.
- the corresponding recess 8 accordingly receives the loop strips 16 from below and these protrude with their free ends 15 and 15 'at the top of the handle head. At the top, however, they can also be pushed back at least partially into the handle head or into the clamping device described below in order not to interfere with use there above the handle head.
- a through opening is arranged as the clamping element 11.
- This clamping element 11 has an axis bore arranged transversely to the pole axis, through which an axis of rotation 7, which is mounted in two laterally opposite axis holes 6 in the sleeve.
- the clamping element 11 is correspondingly rotatable over this axis 7 over a small angular range, typically not more than 10-15 degrees. pivoted.
- the actual clamping device comprises a clamping element 11 which is arranged in the recess 8 and rotatably or tiltably mounted about an axis 7 which is mounted in two opposite axle holes 6.
- the clamping element 11 has a lever area 14 which, in its lower area, in turn has a through-hole through which the axis of rotation 7 passes. This lever area 14 is arranged in the handle head.
- the upper area of the clamping element 11 protrudes from the handle head.
- the upper area comprises a pressure area 12 and an area which is directed rearward in the running direction 35 and which includes a curved area 20.
- This arched area 20 encloses a loop opening 22 through which the two loop strips 15, after having passed through the recess 8 from below, continue to pass upwards.
- a latch 24 is arranged or downward. molded. This also results in a link 36 for releasing the mechanism, ie to move into the position according to FIG. Figure 1b to move.
- a fixing element 17 is also embedded in the handle head. This protrudes upward over the upper edge of the handle head and provides a locking projection 31 there, behind which the locking lug 24 engages in the fixing position.
- the clamping element 11 can be moved back into the fixing position by the pressure surface 12.
- Figure 1c is shown how with the thumb by resting on the pressure surface 12, supported by a projection 33, the clamping element 11 can be pushed back again so that the locking lug 24 can snap behind the locking projection 31 and so the two strips 16/15 are back in can fix their position.
- FIG 2 Different views are shown, the strips and the loop being removed here so that the recess 8 and the components arranged there can be seen better.
- Figure 2a a view from above into the recess 8 is shown. Here it can be seen how the arched area 20 encloses the loop opening 22, and how, above all, on the surface of the lever area 14 of the clamping element 11 facing the straps for clamping the loops, spikes 21 are arranged so that the two loop strips are well held.
- this opposite surface is formed by the holding area 34 of the fixing element located in a recess in the handle head, but it would also be possible to simply design the recess directly on the inside.
- This holding area 34 of the fixing element 17 also has spikes 19, i. each of the two loop strips lying on top of one another is held back or respectively by thorns from the two sides. fixed.
- FIG. 2c is shown in a side view how the fixing element is inserted into a corresponding receiving recess 18 in the handle head.
- This receiving recess has two lateral extensions 30 into which corresponding extensions of the fixing element 17 engage.
- the fixing element 17 accordingly has the holding area 34 pushed into the handle head, but which is exposed towards the inside of the recess 8 towards the loops and there has the aforementioned spikes 19 for clamping.
- the fixing element 17 has an area 31 which projects upwards beyond the handle head and which provides the latching projection 31.
- Figure 3 Fixing position of such a stick is shown. Here it can be seen how the free ends of the loop strips pass up through the opening 22. It can also be seen how this loop opening 22 is sufficiently large that the two free ends 15, if so desired, can be pushed with their tips back into this loop opening 22 at least partially so that they do not interfere with use.
- One advantage of this clamping is the automatic clamping, so to speak, when the tension is increased.
- a possibly problematic aspect of such a mechanism is the fact that, in the clamped state, the area between the front inner wall 26 and the clamping element 11 must have a certain gap, precisely to enable tilting. Dirt or ice or even snow can get into the interior of the recess through this gap and permanently block or even damage the mechanism.
- the clamping element 11 has a lower projection 13 on its front side which extends over this gap even in the clamped state, so that only a very narrow constant gap remains.
- a labyrinth seal is made available and if the gap is selected to be essentially tangential to the direction of rotation about the axis 7, the gap dimension can be selected to be very small without the mobility of the clamping element 11 being impaired.
- Such sealing measures can also be implemented differently, for example by flexible sealing lips or by groove / comb solutions; they are also possible not only in the lower area, but also laterally in the gap between the release element 11 and the side walls of the recess 8.
- FIG. 4 the open position is shown in which the clamping element 11 is tilted forward in the running direction 35 and accordingly no clamping of the loop straps (in the Figures 4 and 5 not shown for visualization) takes place.
- the recess in the pole grip head area has a lower opening 9 through which the loop strips enter the opening 8, and an upper opening 10 through which the loop strips emerge upwards out of the pole grip.
- This opening 8 has a front inner wall 26 and a rear inner wall 27.
- the clamping element 11 has the mentioned lever area 14, which engages from above into the opening 8 and is penetrated at its lower end by an axis of rotation 7 arranged transversely to the running direction. Below this axis of rotation 7 there is an extension, which is indicated by the reference numeral 37 in FIGS Figures 4-6 is designated.
- this contact area 37 comes into contact with the front inner wall 26 in the clamping position, which means that there is a restoring torque in the open position of the clamping element 11 when it is moved out of the position shown in FIG Figure 5 clamping position shown is released by pushing the pressure surface 36 forwards in the running direction and, if necessary, slightly upwards.
- the arched area which forms the loop opening 22 naturally forms an arch to a certain extent to form the loop opening 22, but also has arched recesses 42.
- These arched recesses 42 mean that the rear arched area 20 with the detent 24 can be optimally adjusted in terms of flexural behavior, so that the detent 24 can be locked as optimally as possible behind the detent projection 31 of the fixing element 17.
- the holding area 34 of the fixing element 17 with the teeth 19 arranged there.
- the opposite rear side of the lever area 14 is also provided with teeth 21, so that the two loop strips lying on top of one another are actually fixed in the pulling direction without loosening.
- the teeth on both sides are important because the two loop strips lie on top of one another in this clamping area and this ensures that both loop strips are actually held in the clamping position by this additional form fit and not just by frictional connection.
- FIG. 7 Another embodiment is shown in Figure 7 shown.
- the clamping mechanism can also be completely secured with a wedge 43 in addition to the latching.
- the wedge 43 serves on the one hand to prevent the lever area 14 of the clamping element 11 from being pivoted in the releasing direction.
- the free ends of the loop strips protruding upward from the clamping device can be attached to this wedge 43.
- the front manipulation area 40 is, so to speak, not formed as part of the clamping element 11.
- This front manipulation area is cut away to a certain extent and provided with a holding area 45 at the bottom.
- This holding area 45 is wedge-shaped and fits into the gap which is formed between the lever area 14 of the clamping element 11 and the front inner wall 26 of the recess 8 in the stick grip area when the clamping element is in the fixing position.
- the holding area 45 has a locking lug 48 'on the side facing the lever area 14 and the lever area 14 on the corresponding counter surface has a locking groove 48, groove and Lugs can of course also be arranged reversed, and there can be several such elements.
- the wedge has a step 46 in the clamping element 11 facing area.
- a blind hole 47 is provided so that the free ends of the loop strips can be inserted into this stage and fastened or glued in place with a fastening screw, a fastening rivet or pin 50 or a similar fastening element.
- the wedge 43 has a pressing surface 44 on its upper side, which serves to press the wedge 43 into the corresponding opening.
- This pressing surface 44 runs over as harmoniously as possible into the pressure surface 12 of the clamping element 11.
- the clamping element 11 is now released in its mobility in the opposite direction to the fixing element 17 and can be released, for example, by pressing on the pressure surface 36, i. H. the locking lug 24 is lifted over the locking projection 31 and the clamping element 11 is pivoted. Then the gap between the toothed areas is released and the loops can be adjusted in length.
- the clamping element is pivoted again by pressing on the pressure surface 12 and the locking lug 24 is locked in place via the locking projection 31.
- the wedge 43 is then pushed into the now open gap between the lever area 14 and the front inner wall 26 and locked in place. The loop is fully attached and the free loop ends are tidied up.
