Definitions

  • the invention relates to a duvet cover.
  • a duvet cover In the bedding industry, it is common practice to use a duvet cover to keep a duvet clean while allowing the user to change the exterior appearance of the duvet.
  • a cover comes in the form of a bag, or envelope, roughly parallelepiped in fabric with one side open for the insertion of a duvet.
  • This type of cover poses a problem when filling it with a duvet. Indeed, in this case, it is necessary to slide the duvet into the cover by a relatively narrow end and try to match the corners of the duvet with the corners of the cover in order to have the flattest possible surface.
  • This technique is a source of time loss as well as irritation since it is very difficult to place the duvet perfectly. The problem becomes even more significant when the cover is large.
  • This covering technique can also be a source of health problems by generating Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) for people repeating these same gestures in their profession.
  • MSDs Musculoskeletal Disorders
  • the bag-shaped portion constitutes a hood and has a rigid structure that is shaped to hold any alone by presenting a curved surface in the shape of an arc, which presents a disadvantage, particularly for transport or storage.
  • the document IT MI20 100 265 A1 describes a duvet that can be converted into a cushion when the duvet is inserted into a pocket attached to a small side of the duvet.
  • One of the aims of the invention is to provide a duvet cover that is easy to use and store.
  • one of the aims of the invention is to provide a duvet protective cover solution that allows the duvet to be easily stored with its cover while allowing the duvet to be easily and quickly inserted into the cover.
  • Another aim of the invention is also to limit musculoskeletal disorders by making it easier to cover the duvet.
  • the duvet cover according to the invention thus comprises an integrated retractable storage pocket which allows the duvet cover to be stored once folded so that it can be used as a pillow or can be easily stored.
  • the storage pocket In the deployed position, the storage pocket extends from the edge of the opening so that the first layer and the second layer can be easily and quickly stored in the storage pocket, preferably by turning the pocket over on the first layer and second layer folded.
  • the soft pocket In storage position, the soft pocket is housed by turning its layers between the two layers of the duvet cover, flat and completely so as to be invisible and not bothersome when using the unfolded duvet cover.
  • two superimposed flexible textile layers means “two layers, for example of fabric, superimposed”.
  • folded layers means that the layers can be folded several times and/or rolled up to a volume that can be accommodated in the pocket.
  • the duvet cover is, apart from the pocket, made of two layers of material.
  • the pocket is flexible.
  • the pocket is made of a textile material, preferably identical to that of the thicknesses of the envelope.
  • the pocket is flat when empty.
  • the pouch has a rectangular shape when empty.
  • the pocket itself has two layers and an opening to receive the two folded layers.
  • the pocket is made up of two identical thicknesses.
  • the layers of the duvet cover are inserted into the pocket by turning said pocket over said folded layers.
  • the two layers of the pocket are at least partially separable to facilitate the insertion of the folded layers.
  • one or more edges of the pocket may be zipped or connected by press studs.
  • the storage pocket is made from the same material as one of the two layers so that the duvet cover can be manufactured from a single piece of fabric and thus reduce the steps in the manufacturing process.
  • the storage pocket is attached to one of the two layers.
  • the pocket can be sewn or zipped onto one of the two layers of the duvet cover.
  • the layers of the duvet cover and the storage pocket can thus be made separately before fixing the pocket on one of the thicknesses of the duvet cover, in particular in order to be able to add a pocket storage on the cover of an existing duvet cover for example.
  • the length of the junction between the storage pocket and the edge is of the order of a third of the length of said edge in order to allow the thicknesses to be folded in three to the width of the pocket and thus facilitate their storage in the pocket.
  • the duvet cover comprises opening and closing means adapted to open and close access to the internal space at the opening, in particular to allow the opening to be closed when the pocket is in the storage position.
  • the opening and closing means comprise at least one zipper.
  • the opening and closing means comprise at least one strip made of a self-gripping material.
  • the opening and closing means comprise snap fasteners.
  • the duvet cover is rectangular in shape and the opening is formed at least at one of the short edges of the cover.
  • the opening is formed through one of the thicknesses of the duvet cover, preferably along at least two edges, preferably three edges of said thickness in order to facilitate access to the internal space, to insert a duvet into the internal space.
  • the opening is on one of the thicknesses, advantageously the least visible, at least for the curved parts.
  • the duvet cover is reversible.
  • the duvet cover is adapted to receive a duvet in the internal space, the pocket being sized to receive the two layers and the folded duvet.
  • the pocket comprises an information area, for example printed or provided in the form of a label, including the dimensions of said cover, in particular when the cover is adapted to receive a duvet of given dimensions.
  • the pocket is provided with a closing member, for example of the zipper type, invisible in the storage position of the pocket in order to keep the pocket closed and in place in its fully flat storage position between the thicknesses of the envelope.
  • a closing member for example of the zipper type
  • the duvet cover is covered on its outer faces with a lining, for example fur or equivalent.
  • duvet cover according to the invention could be used in the absence of a duvet
  • the duvet cover 1 is rectangular in shape and comprises a first flexible thickness 10 of textile and a second flexible thickness 20 of textile superimposed ( figures 3 And 4 ) making it possible to form a single-piece envelope having an internal space 30 defined between said two thicknesses 10, 20, two side edges 1A, 1B, one top edge 1C and one bottom edge 1D.
  • side we define the edges 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D according to the arrangement of the duvet cover 1 illustrated in the figure 1 .
  • An opening 40 formed in this example in the first thickness 10, allows access to said internal space 30, the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 being sewn together.
  • the opening 40 could be formed in the second thickness 20 or between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness at least at the upper edge 1C.
  • the duvet cover 1 comprises opening and closing means adapted to open and close access to the internal space 30 at the opening 40.
  • the opening and closing means are in the form of a zipper 50 mounted in the first thickness 10 along the side edges 1A, 1B and the upper edge 1C.
  • the opening and closing means could comprise at least one strip made of a self-gripping material and/or press studs and/or any other suitable means.
  • the opening and closing means could be mounted in the second thickness 20 or between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20, for example at the side edges 1A, 1B and the upper edge 1C.
  • the opening 40 is partial and only allows partial separation of the first thickness 10 while making access to the internal space 30 both easy and quick, in particular in order to insert a duvet 2, visible on the figure 4
  • the opening 40 could be total (loop) in order to remove a portion of the first thickness 10 or to separate the first thickness 10 from the second thickness 20 to access the internal space 30 and in particular to insert a duvet 2
  • duvet cover 1 is reversible.
  • the duvet cover 1 includes a storage pocket 60 connected to the first layer 10 or the second layer 20 along the opening 40.
  • the pocket 60 is adapted to be placed in a storage position in which the pocket 60 is disposed in the internal space 30, as illustrated in figures 1 to 5 , and in a deployed position outside the internal space 30, as illustrated in the figures 7 to 12 .
  • the pocket 60 is sized to receive and store the first layer 10 and the second layer 20 folded with a quilt 2 placed inside to form a pillow or cushion in which the pocket 60 has the function of a pillowcase.
  • the pocket 60 itself comprises two thicknesses and an opening in order to receive the folded thicknesses.
  • the pocket 60 may be made of the same material as the first thickness 10 or the second thickness 20 or added to the first thickness 10 or to the second thickness 20, for example by being sewn or zipped onto the first thickness 10 or to the second thickness 20.
  • an intermediate thickness of insulation or thermal regulation can be inserted via the opening between the two thicknesses of the envelope.
  • the duvet cover 1 is spread on a surface and then the zipper 50 is opened in a step E1, as shown in the figure 2 .
  • a portion of the first thickness 10 is then partially removed in a step E2 in order to form the opening 40 allowing the duvet 2 to be inserted into the duvet cover 1 ( figure 3 ).
  • the pocket 60 is not deployed and is therefore located between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20.
  • the duvet 2 is inserted in a step E3 between the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 via the opening 40 so as to extend into the internal space 30, as illustrated in figure 4 .
  • duvet cover 1 with duvet 2 is ready for use, with pocket 60 placed inside duvet cover 1 with duvet 2.
  • the duvet cover 1 advantageously allows the duvet 2 to be stored with a minimum space while transforming the set formed by the duvet cover 1 and the duvet 5 into a pillow. To this end, the duvet cover 1 is first spread out on a surface with the duvet 2 inside and then the zipper 50 is opened so as to take out the pocket 60 in a step F1, as illustrated in the figure 7 .
  • the side edges 1A, 1B of the duvet cover 1 are folded in a step F2 so that the width obtained is equal to or substantially smaller than the length of the junction between the pocket 60 and the first thickness 10 or the second thickness 20 to which the pocket 60 is connected, in this example at the level of the upper edge 1C, as illustrated in the figure 8 .
  • the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 between which the quilt 2 extends are then folded over the pocket 60 in a step F3, for example in several times, as illustrated in the figures 9 to 11 .
  • the first thickness 10, the quilt 2 and the second thickness 20 could be rolled towards the pocket 60.
  • the pocket 60 is then turned over onto the assembly formed by the first thickness 10, the quilt 2 and the second thickness 20 folded in a step F4, as illustrated in figure 12 , in order to obtain a small storage space allowing both the duvet 2 to be stored in the duvet cover 1 and to act as a pillow or cushion ( figure 13 ).
  • the two thicknesses of the pocket 60 are at least partly separable at the level of opening and closing members, for example by being provided with a zipper, self-gripping strips or press studs, the assembly formed by the first thickness 10, the duvet 2 and the second thickness 20 folded is folded or rolled into the pocket 60 then the two thicknesses of the pocket 60 are joined again at the level of said opening and closing members.
  • the pocket 60 of the duvet cover 1 therefore makes it possible to store the first thickness 10 and the second thickness 20 in order to form a pillow and/or to facilitate the storage of said cover 1.
  • the duvet cover 1 is particularly advantageous because it makes it possible to store both the cover and the duvet 2 in the pocket 60 to protect and store the duvet 2 while constituting a pillow or a cushion.
