Definitions
- the present invention relates to a bed device, in particular for children, with a house-like structure with a front, back, end sides and roof surfaces with a base frame construction within which a support, in particular a slatted frame, with a mattress can be stored, vertical corner profile posts to which the base frame construction is connected and which are arranged in the corner areas of the house-like structure, roof edge profiles running on the end sides in the incline of the roof surface and connected to the upper end area of the corner profile posts, a roof traverse profile running in the longitudinal direction and connected in the upper end area of the roof edge profiles, at least one or more wall panels connected in the area of the front and/or back and at least one or more roof panels connected in the area of the roof surface.
- Bed frames of the type mentioned above are known. Bed frames of this type are also called house beds. The panels or cladding used there are simply connected to the bed frame using wood screws. Redesigning the house bed is either not possible or requires a great deal of effort. If the cladding is removed at great expense, unsightly or torn holes remain in the bed frame caused by the screw connections.
- the US 1 218 102 A discloses a bed device that is designed to protect the person in the bed from insects.
- panels covered with an insect screen are used.
- In the wall area there are two wall panels that run the entire length and are connected to one another via hinges.
- On the underside, these wall panels are also connected to a support profile via hinges that can be hooked onto the corner profiles of the bed structure using appropriate connection devices.
- the roof panels which also run lengthwise, also consist of two units that are connected to one another via hinges and connected to a roof crossbar profile via hinges.
- the wall panels and the roof panels are folded together and, once you have got in, they are folded out again to create a closed bed interior that is completely surrounded by an insect screen, as there are also panels in the side area that are completely covered by an insect screen.
- the present invention is based on the task or technical problem of specifying a bed device that can be manufactured economically, has a reduced number of components, is highly flexible, can be optically redesigned by the user in a simple manner and, as a system, enables a wide variety of types of house beds, such as a ground-level cuddle bed, a lounger, a bunk, a play bed or a bunk bed.
- the bed device is accordingly characterized in that bed side profiles connected to the base frame construction are present as fall protection, a connected traverse profile running longitudinally in the upper end region of the corner profile posts is present, the roof and wall panels have connection units which are designed such that the panels can be detachably connected between the traverse profile and roof traverse profile and between the traverse profile and bed side profile without the use of a tool, wherein the roof panels are detachably connected to the traverse profile on the underside and to the roof traverse profile on the top, and the wall panels are connected to the traverse profile on the top and to the bed side profile on the underside.
- the panels can be connected without the use of tools and can be removed again if necessary, the user is provided with a variability in terms of visual design that is not available with known bed devices.
- the bed device according to the invention can therefore be redesigned extremely easily. Furthermore, a wide variety of model variants can be produced economically.
- a particularly preferred structural design which enables economical production of the bed device as a bed system device, is characterized by the fact that the wall panel and the roof panel are designed identically as system components.
- An improvement in the system suitability is also achieved by a further advantageous design, which is characterized by the fact that the traverse profile and the roof traverse profile are designed identically as system components.
- the corner profile posts and the roof edge profiles as system components have different lengths and their profile cross-sections are each identical.
- each roof and wall panel has at least one, in particular two, longitudinally spaced-apart, hanging connection units in the lower edge area and at least one rotary connection unit in the upper edge area.
- An advantageous design is particularly advantageous with regard to a simple construction and a reliable connection situation in that the traverse profile and the roof traverse profile have a continuous groove in the longitudinal direction.
- a particularly preferred practical embodiment according to a first variant is characterized in that the hanging connection unit, when the wall panel is connected, engages behind or around the upper end region of the bed side profile or the base frame construction at least in some areas in a form-fitting manner and the rotary connection unit engages behind or around the lower end region of the traverse profile at least in some areas in a form-fitting manner.
- a particularly preferred embodiment of a practical example of connection of the roof panels is characterized in that the hanging connection unit engages in a form-fitting manner in the groove of the traverse profile when the roof panel is connected and the rotary connection unit engages behind or around the lower end edge area of the roof traverse profile, at least in some areas.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment that increases safety is characterized in that the rotary connection unit is designed as a 3-way locking unit with a projection unit that can be rotated about a rotation axis perpendicular to the plane of the wall panel or roof panel, such that three measures are required to remove or secure a wall panel or a roof panel to open or lock it, namely pressing the 3-way locking unit on both sides while simultaneously pulling the rotary lock unit and then turning the rotary connection unit to open or lock the connection.
- the 3-way locking unit prevents the panels from being installed or removed without authorization, especially by small children, so that they cannot injure themselves by such attempted assembly work.
- the 3-way locking unit essentially represents a child safety lock.
- the 3-way locking unit In order to overcome this child safety lock, the 3-way locking unit must first be pressed in from the side with the index finger and thumb and then the rotary lock must be pulled at the same time.
- the rotary lock of the rotary connection unit which is pressed into a locking position by a spring when at rest, is released from its locking position by pressing it sideways and pulling it at the same time and can be rotated by turning it 90° into the new position to secure the panel to the bed frame.
- the wall panel has at least one window recess and is therefore also called window panel.
- the wall or window panel is mounted parallel to the bed side profile and the traverse profile.
- the roof panel requires the same parallel connection for a firm connection. Therefore, the traverse profile is provided with an additional groove (milling) into which the hanging connection unit engages in the groove of the traverse profile when mounted.
- the structural design of the wall panels shown makes it possible to connect them to the bed frame of the bed device from the outside or from the inside. This is not possible with the known bed devices.
- a particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that the length of the roof panel and/or wall panel 1 n the length of the bed device, where n ⁇ 2, in particular 4.
- a preferred practical embodiment is characterized in that the length of the wall panel and/or roof panel is a quarter of the length of the bed device and three wall panels are arranged at the front, four roof panels on the roof surface and four wall panels on the rear.
- the roof surface is completely covered with roof panels and the front has an entrance, since the three wall panels do not take up the entire length of the bed device.
- Another particularly preferred embodiment of the bed device according to the invention is characterized in that the base frame construction is arranged at a distance from the floor on the vertical corner profile posts, so that it is easily possible to produce, for example, bunk beds, play beds or bunk beds within the framework of a system for bed devices.
- an advantageous further development is characterized by the surface of the panels being printed or coated with motifs or being mechanically processed, in particular milled.
- Fig.1 an embodiment of a bed device 10 is shown, which is referred to as a house bed, the target group of which is children.
- a rectangular base frame construction 12 is arranged on a floor 50, in the interior of which a support or slatted frame (not shown) with a mattress placed on it is arranged.
- Bed side profiles 14 are arranged above the base frame construction 12 on the front, back and end sides, which serve as fall protection, wherein the bed side profile 14 on the front has a shorter length than the length L of the bed device 10.
- the base frame construction 12 is connected to vertical corner profile posts 16, which run upwards in the vertical direction H.
- the roof construction is designed as a gable roof, with oppositely inclined roof edge profiles 22 connected to both front sides in the upper end area of the corner profile posts 16 in accordance with the roof pitch, which are connected to one another in their upper end area.
- the roof construction can also be designed as a pent roof or flat roof or in another form.
- a traverse profile 18 running in the longitudinal direction L is connected on both the front and the back.
- a roof traverse profile 20 running in the longitudinal direction L is connected.
- the inclined roof surfaces are each covered with four roof panels 24 lying next to each other in the longitudinal direction, which are each connected to the traverse profile 18 on the underside and to the roof traverse profile 20 on the top. The type of connection is described below.
- three wall panels 26 are connected to the crossbar profile 18 and the bed side profile 14, which are arranged directly next to one another in the longitudinal direction and whose total length is less than the length L of the bed device 10, so that an access 46 is provided in the right-hand area of the front side.
- the rear side is completely covered with four wall panels 26 arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction in the exemplary embodiment.
- the front sides are open.
- the roof panels 24 have a length LD and a height HD and the wall panels 26 have a height HW and a length LW.
- the heights and lengths of both panels 24, 26 are identical.
- Fig.2 shows in a schematic perspective the bed device 10 according to Fig.1 without connected wall panels 26 and roof panels 24.
- a wall panel 26 or roof panel 24 with the height HW or HD and the length LW or LD is shown in rectangular form.
- 26 there can be a window recess 34, which in Fig.3 is shown in dashed lines.
- two suspension connection units 30 are connected at a distance in the longitudinal direction L.
- a rotary connection unit 32 is connected centrally to the upper edge end area and is rotatable about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the plane of the panel 24, 26 and can be locked by the angle of rotation D.
- Fig.4 The structurally simple detachable connection of a roof panel 24 and a wall panel 26 is in Fig.4 shown schematically in cross section.
- the wall panel 26 is hung from the outside and from above via the hanging connection unit 30 on the upper edge end area of the bed side profile 14.
- the hanging connection unit 30 has an L-shaped profile in cross section with a downward-pointing leg 38, so that a positive connection is provided.
- the inner contour of the L-shaped cross section is provided at least in some areas with a coating with a high coefficient of friction, for example a dimpled layer, so that an undesirable or unintentional displacement in the longitudinal direction L is prevented when the wall panel 26 is inserted.
- the wall panel 16 is connected to the lower end edge area of the traverse profile 18 via the rotary connection unit 32.
- the rotary connection unit 32 has a projection unit 48 which can be rotated about a rotation axis perpendicular to the plane of the wall panel 26. In Fig.4 the projection unit 48 is shown in the locking position. The projection unit 48 engages behind the lower end edge area of the traverse profile 18 in a form-fitting manner.
- the rotary connection unit 32 is provided with a child safety lock, which is designed as a so-called 3-way locking unit (also called triple lock).
- a child safety lock which is designed as a so-called 3-way locking unit (also called triple lock).
- 3-way locking unit also called triple lock.
- the wall panels 26 and roof panels 24 are identical.
- the roof panel 24 is connected to the traverse profile 18 via the hanging connection unit 30.
- the traverse profile 18 has an inwardly open groove 40 that runs at an angle corresponding to the roof pitch, into which the leg 38 of the hanging connection unit 30 engages in a form-fitting manner when connected.
- the rotating connection unit 32 is used, which is rotated into the corresponding locking position by turning the projection unit 48 in the same way as the connection of the wall panel 26 to the traverse profile 18, after the child safety lock has been activated.
- connection situation shown for connecting the panels 24, 26 via the hook-in connection units 30 and the rotary connection unit 32 allows for a problem-free, simple connection and a problem-free, simple detachment of the panels from the corresponding components. Furthermore, there is the possibility that the wall panel 26 is not as shown in Fig.4 shown from the outside but alternatively also from the inside to the cross member profile 18 and the bed side profile 14, which is not possible with the known bed devices.
- the bed device 10 according to the invention is designed as a bed system device, for example with the same wall and roof panels 24, 26, the same cross-member profiles 18 and roof cross-member profiles 20 and cross-sectionally identical vertical corner profile posts 16 and roof edge profiles 22, different variants of the bed device can be implemented easily and economically, for example design of the bed device in addition to the design according to Fig.1 also as a lounger, bunk, play bed or bunk bed.
- a bed device 10.1 as a bunk bed as a house bed is in Fig.5 shown schematically.
- the upper part of the bed device 10.1 essentially corresponds to the bed device 10 according to Fig.1 Identical components have the same reference number and are not explained again.
- the vertical corner profile posts 16 are extended downwards and in the lower end area of the vertical corner profile posts 16 there is another base frame construction 42, within which a support or slatted frame and a mattress are arranged.
- a bed side profile 14 is arranged on each of the front sides.
- a play bed differs from the bed device 10.1 according to Fig.5 only in that there is no base frame construction 12 in the lower area, so that this area is available for the children to play.
