PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA SEPARACION SELECTIVA O SIMULTANEA DE SUSTANCIAS CONTAMINANTES, PARTICULARMENTE OXIDOS DE AZUFRE Y/O DE NITROGENO, A PARTIR DE GAS DE HUMO MEDIANTE IRRADIACION DE LOS GASES DE HUMOS CON HACES DE ELECTRONES. EL PROCEDIMIENTO SE LLEVA A CABO EN ETAPAS CRONOLOGICAMENTE SUCESIVAS, EMPLEANDOSE AL MENOS DOS ETAPAS QUE FORMAN CADA UNA DE ELLAS UNA LINEA DE PROCEDIMIENTO Y QUE ESTAN EQUIPARADAS CON AL MENOS SENDOS ACELERADORES DE ELECTRONES O CABEZAS ACELERADORAS DE ELECTRONES COMO FUENTE DE HACES DE ELECTRONES. LA IRRADIACION DEL GAS DE HUMO SE EFECTUA CON DOSIS DE IRRADIACION PARCIALES QUE PROPORCIONAN COMO SUMA LA DOSIS DE IRRADIACION TOTAL DESEADA. EL GAS DE HUMO SE MEZCLA FORZOSAMENTE A FONDO ENTRE LAS ETAPAS DE IRRADIACION.
