Abstract
EL POLIPEPTIDO TIENE UNA SECUENCIA DE AMINOACIDOS COMPRENDIDA EN, AL MENOS, UNA DE LAS SECUENCIAS A, B O C, Y DA REACCION CRUZADA CON UN POLIPEPTIDO ENCONTRADO EN LINFOCITOS DE SANGRE PERIFERICO HUMANA NORMAL ACTIVADOS POR UN MITOGENO. EL METODO COMPRENDE EL CULTIVO DE CELULAS QUE EXPRESAN DICHA SECUENCIA DE DNA EN UN MEDIO ADECUADO DE CRECIMIENTO; SEPARACION DE DICHAS CELULAS DEL MEDIO DE CRECIMIENTO Y AISLAMIENTO DE POLIPEPTIDO. ALTERNATIVAMENTE, EL POLIPEPTIDO PUEDE SER SINTETIZADO O PREPARADO POR CLONAJE DE GEN EN UN HUESPED APROPIADO. EL POLIPEPTIDO ASI OBTENIDO ES CAPAZ DE INHIBIR LA PROLIFERACION DE CIERTAS CELULAS NEOPLASICAS Y DE ESTIMULAR LA PROLIFERACION DE CIERTAS LINEAS CELULARES TALES COMO FIBROPLASTOS, POR LO QUE ES UTIL PARA EL TRATAMIENTO O DIAGNOSTICO DEL CANCER Y COMO INMONOMODULADOR EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE PACIENTES CON INMUNO DEFICIENCIAS Y SIMILARES.THE POLYPEPTIDE HAS AN AMINO ACID SEQUENCE INCLUDING IN AT LEAST ONE OF THE SEQUENCES A, B OR C, AND GIVES CROSS REACTION WITH A POLYPEPTIDE FOUND IN NORMAL HUMAN PERIPHERAL BLOOD LYMPHOCYTES ACTIVATED BY A MITOGEN. THE METHOD INCLUDES THE CULTIVATION OF CELLS THAT EXPRESS SUCH DNA SEQUENCE IN AN ADEQUATE GROWTH MEDIUM; SEPARATION OF SUCH CELLS FROM THE GROWTH MEDIA AND ISOLATION OF POLYPEPTIDE. ALTERNATIVELY, THE POLYPEPTIDE MAY BE SYNTHESIZED OR PREPARED BY A CLONE OF GENE IN AN APPROPRIATE GUEST. THE POLYPEPTIDE SO OBTAINED IS CAPABLE OF INHIBITING THE PROLIFERATION OF CERTAIN NEOPLASTIC CELLS AND OF STIMULATING THE PROLIFERATION OF CERTAIN CELL LINES SUCH AS FIBROPLASTS, SO IT IS USEFUL FOR THE TREATMENT OR DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER AND INMATE AND SIMILAR.
